Perun Lightning ETU for Version 2 Airsoft AEG Gearboxes (Model: Rear-Wired)

"Purchased to upgrade CYMA Sport M4 Carbine. Turning it into a sleeper lol

Not quite a drop-in on the CYMA Sport (read: ECONOMY) gearbox shell, as I had to use a rotary tool to file off a screw post that doesn't exist in most v2 gearboxes.

After that, it was fairly simple. You'll want to sand the edges of the window, so that the sticker doesn't fold/tear during installation. Pro tip- you'll need to use the ICS sticker on a CYMA, or you'll never see FA again!

The V2 Hybrid has excellent voltage sag and overcurrent protection- I learned this during my first sustained FA ROF stress test, as my battery was a 7.4v Tamiya, paired with a jerry-rigged spade connection on my hot wire (the stock spade broke immediately when disconnecting- upgrade those immediately, CYMA Sport users). Motor got hot, ROF slowed and promptly quit. Disconnect/reconnect cleared the faults and reset the Hybrid, so I knew it was my hardware failing, not the MOSFET.

Once installed, it's amazing. Tuning is simple enough once you grasp the concept. There are installation and function videos on YouTube. Features AB, 2-stage and binary trigger plus sensitivity settings, pre-cocking, ROF reduction, DMR and DSG modes, and a Li-Po alarm.

Great bang for your buck. 5 stars.

"Bought the Perun v2 Hybrid to replace the stock mosfet on my aeg that was kinda trash and annoying. Installation of this perun was a little difficult because my gun didn't come with a cutoff lever in the gearbox since it already came stock with a mosfet. However, you need the screw from the cutoff lever to secure the board in the gearbox, so I had to find a screw that fit and cut it to be short enough while also making a DIY washer out of some plastic packaging I had lying around and a hole punch. I also had to file down the screw that I modified to fit so that the sector gear could spin freely (the screw rests under the sector gear and needs to be short enough not to hinder gear rotation). If your gun comes with a cutoff lever it'll be much easier lol.
Once I got it installed it boosted my performance incredibly!! I paired it with an adjustable trigger and 40k motor and I can spam the trigger super fast and it's incredible. This mosfet comes with a bunch of advanced features you can adjust to improve the performance of your aeg. It doesn't have Bluetooth which is fine for me since I'm fine with tuning the settings manually through the trigger, but if you want Bluetooth connectivity to you phone, this one doesn't have that.
Only complaint is the wires are very very soft and have basically no stiffness which is kinda weird and the insulation around the wires gets cut very easily, exposing the wires. One of the motor connectors also broke when I was trying to connect it to the motor. Probably was just me being dumb and manhandling it, works fine after I soldered it back in place.

I give it a 9/10 only since the price was increased from $74 to $99. One of the main pros of this mosfet over other options like the gate aster or leviathan was it's low price. But now that it's up to $99, it's more expensive than the gate aster II which has Bluetooth AND already comes with an adjustable trigger. So honestly I'd just get the aster or even spend a little more for a leviathan now that the perun is this much. But if the price ever goes back down to $74, it's the best you can get.

"The best mosfet on the market. The fact it's one solid board without the top plate means it fits in most gearboxes, maybe even all I haven't seen one it wouldn't fit in without the need to remove material from the top shell to fit it. Easy to install, however it didn't come with an instruction manual there is a link to an installation video if you can't figure it out. I'll be buying multiple for all my gearboxes. Couldn't recommend enough.

"Stop looking, this is the one. Installed a few and it significantly improves your AEG in many ways. 10/10 would recommend for all v2 AEGs.

- Magpul Masada
- G&G Cm16 Raider (the OG version)
- Elite Force Limited Edition MP5
- Krytac CRB-M (no gearbox modifications required)

All installs wen great, running 12:1 and 13:1 gears on all, accept for the Krytac. The Krytac has stock internals and the Perun, and it is an absolute beast.

Unless you care about having an app, this is the mosfet to get, I cannot recommend it enough. The price is also perfect.

This mosfet is amazing, easy to program VIA selector and trigger pool, no need for a stupid blulink like the GATES, not having to deal with annoying laggy apps, just easy fast programming here baby!

Its strong and good feeling, doesnt feel like a cheap motherboard that can break easily, and the soder points are clean and nice.

This does come in deans, so if you don't have any deant plugs laying around you might want to pick one up or a dean to Tamiya connector.


With the price point of this mosfet and having pretty much every capability or a Gate or Jefftron this is a no Brainer.

Out of all the mosfets I own and installed this is by far my new favroite, best bang for the buck!

"I got this for my VFC saber, and out of the box, the gun is already really good, but with this mosfet... its a whole new beast. I run my 11.1 1200mah pretty much all day and the rate of fire and response is out of this world. It's just worth every penny

"Amazing mosfet. picked one up for a 13:1 ssg build, and it absolutely delivered.
Features are on par with the gate titan, jefftron leviathan, btc spectre, etc but for about half the price. programmability is a breeze, and customer support is great.
Installation was super easy and straight forward. Having installed numerous microswitches and a gate aster, this installation was leagues above all of them in terms of ease and clear instructions.
it also includes plenty of stickers for programming, diagnostics, and for decorating your gun. the diagnostics themselves are very concise with decipherable LED's, beeps, and vibrations. very easy to follow.
only gripe is that it doesn't have an app or anything for programming, but still amazing mosfet for the price. i also like how you don't have to buy a separate ripoff programming component (i'm looking at you, gate), and comes with everything as-is.
super, super great stuff. i'll definitely be picking up more of these in the future.

"Honestly it fit really good into my gun (G&G CM16 R8-L)there was no need for any in shell modification and was my first time taking apart a gun was very simple installation on (5/10 difficulty) the only thing I had to do was modify my plate sticker cause as I move it the sticker would pop off the quality is great and compact.only downside was I had to Remove the solder and redo do it after sliding it through my stock sense the deans would fit. Overall quality and functionality though is a 10/10 especially for the price.

"Bought this for my Umarex Mp5 by vfc with Avalon gearbox.
Paired with 13:1 gears, stock vfc Avalon torque motor and 11.1 50c lipo battery. Results are astounding with trigger response, rof, and is efficient. Install and programming is very easy, just go on YouTube. The precocking and active break is where this unit really shines. Definitely a cheaper alternative to the gate titan and jefftron leviathan.

"Extremly good Mosfet, I fit it without any problems on my Lancer Tactical LT-19 Proline gearbox, and it was more easy than I thought at first.

The wire is pretty flexible so I had any issues fittting in on the gearbox, grip or stock, and there's plenty of wire to plug your battery with ease!

And for the programming, there's videos on Youtube than explain how to configurate the differents modes and what it does any of them, definitely a solid upgrade.
