"This is my favorite gun, and yes it’s 100% because of MGS1. No shame.
I’ve owned pretty much every FA-MAS worth owning since the early days of airsoft, so I don’t say this lightly, this thing is an absolute beast.
The construction is rock solid, no creaks, no wobble, It’s also the most I’ve ever spent on an airsoft gun, which hurt at the time… but after using it, I’ve emotionally recovered.

Took it out for a full game day yesterday and, it felt like cheating. Point, shoot, done. People just… went away. I wish I could say that about half the guns I’ve owned.

Pros:
Laser-like accuracy
Surprisingly gas efficient
Built like a tank
Feels incredible in hand
Mags have been reliable so far
Recoil has a satisfying kick
Seems easy enough to tear down
3-round burst is crispy clean
Full-auto is absolutely unhinged in the best way
Makes you feel like a real man.

Cons:
Doesn’t like mild cold weather (to be fair, neither do I, and neither do most green gas guns)
Magazines cost approximately one kidney each
Needs a bit of a break-in period
Pretty much no after market parts.

Final Thoughts:
If you love the FA-MAS, just accept your fate, save up, buy this thing, and enjoy it. You’re not going to regret it… except maybe when you look at your bank account. But even then, probably not.

"Really excellent airsoft gun. This is one of a very few airsoft guns that I've felt no need to modify/improve out of the box. There are some quirks inherent to the FAMAS design, but that's not a fault of the replica.

Pros:
- Excellent materials/craftsmanship inside and out
- Very closely replicates the real gun down to correct markings on the grenade launcher sights
- Gas efficient
- Good hop-up/inner barrel combo out of the box; it's not the absolute best I have ever seen, but better than most, and I don't see any need to mess with it.
- Good magazines - taking the best notes from VFC's newer mags
- Properly heat treated steel trigger group components
- Attention to detail even extends to the manuals, which are styled/formatted to resemble the real ones

Cons:
- Price - it's not cheap, but I feel that it's a fair price for the quality
- Orange flash hider sucks - I know it's required for shipping, but I would like to see Evike at least stock the proper one, or better yet, include the original separate with the shipment. It's such a good replica that the orange tip is practically an insult.
- Requires some break-in and lube - easy to fix, but mags are a tight fit, and working parts needed a little more lube out of the box.

Overall, one of my favorite airsoft guns I've had in 15+ years. Totally recommended.

"I just bought this FAMAS and it's amazing! Yes it's expensive but this is as close as you'll get to a real FAMAS. It's sturdy and built like an actual firearm. If you can, buy one now before they're gone!

"The famas is great airsoft rifle , well constructed but there a few things to watch out for . First , it doesn’t not come with the original flash hider or the oil bottle that the first batch came with ( that never made it to evike) .Second,The valve knocker interface to the fcg may wear out since it’s made of a somewhat soft metal .Third, Some replicas may come with a crooked bucking ( like mine ) that may require a very long tear down . Overall if you don’t mind that or non of these problems are present , this is a great rifle that has great externals and it’s very accurate to the RS. You won’t regret getting this.

"Excellently made, functions perfectly and looks and feels amazing. It's about time we got a modernized FAMAS best if all, it's gas! Pricey but an absolutely beautiful replica.

2 stars off for the misleading pictures. It's shown with a special real steel flash hider, but arrives with a cheap plastic flash hider. I know they need to be sold with one, but with how much this costs I would have liked to receive the original flash hider that I guess Evike removed and....kept? I'm probably going to have to spend $40 to buy one from Northeast directly, when it should have been included as per the product pictures.

"For a FAMAS fan this is absolutely awesome, not only do we finally get a modern FAMAS, but we get a gas blowback as well! Like me, a lot of people are probably getting this just as a collectors item since it's the closest most of us will ever get to touching, let alone using a real one. This is superbly made and functions well. Mags are super tight at first, but NE knows about this and they loosen up with use, and I can confirm, they do, but a little sanding could speed that if you were impatient.

Knocking off 2 stars because this is shown and sold as having a steel flash hider, it comes with a mandatory orange plastic one. I know those are required, but why can't we have the original in the box, or why can't we just buy one. They aren't for sale anywhere. I paid for the replica pictured, and I didn't receive what I paid for. Now I'm probably going to have to shell out a chunk of change at some point to get the proper flash hider that Evike stole and replaced with a $0.05 generic plastic one.

I want my flash hider.

"A warning for collectors: This replica ships with parts missing. The original flash hider that is pictured on the product page does NOT come included. it is replaced with a generic orange plastic tip (installed as required, but no steel FH included in package). Since this one is kind of unique to the FAMAS, I first checked their inventory for replacements, then contacted support.
I was told they checked all inventory and none of the FAMAS come with the flash hider. I asked if they could get them or contact the manufacturer and was told 'we may be able to carry the flash hider in the future but no guarantee'. I even reluctantly offered to pay for it just to get it done with. I will probably keep this as the rest of the replica is great, but this is annoying. For as expensive as this one is you would expect to get every part shown!
