"This replica is amazing but I will say I did have some issues with the motor heating up quickly and draining lipos super fast. That being said it performs pretty amazing with .30s. I did however upgrade the internals to be just like Arcturus Performance enhanced "PE" offering. I added Arcturus brand 13:1s and Arcturus brand perun mosfet! Now it performs just as good as my Arcturus AK12. My only gripe is the dummy bolt makes contact woth the hopup mounting block causing the bolt to break of the guide track. I broke 2 bolt before figuring it out and sanding down the hopup block so it doesn't make contact anymore and new bolt is fine and not breaking.
I love this replica so much that I want to get the PDW version as well.
I also own the AK12 and it as well is also amazing. Its what prompted me to but the Mod 1 carbine.
Arcturus makes some amazing AKs, I promise you won't be disappointed with your purchase.

"This gun is incredible. Like others have said it is a bit on the heavy side bit if you are not worried about that, look no further.

"Gun is very accurate and well built. It is heavy though. Only issue I have had is the folding stock came loose. I need to shim it. The screw holding the rail for the stock comes loose even with Blue Loctite. Rate of fire is good. Trigger is a little slow imo.

"I bought this as a backup gun. Ended up having to use it at a milsim and it definently pulled it's weight. Great trigger, sturdy gun, realistic weight. Out of the box it was running about 1.2 joules at 300fps with .32 bbs I can't find anything bad to say about the functionality of the gun. I'm not a big fan of the rear sight rail but I'll get over myself. If you want a great out of the box gun you don't need/want to upgrade here you go.

"The Bad :
I had to shim the stock with 3 layers of electric tape to keep it from wobbling back and forth like crazy. I also had to shim the top optic rail as well, had a tiny wiggle. I wished they used thread locker on the screws because my hop up unit disassembled itself after a couple mags, thankfully I found one of the bolts floating around in the gun, but I lost the front gearbox screw entirely; for a new $400 gun that's less than desirable. Guns finish was a little blotchy, I don't mind but it's something to keep in mind. FPS is starting to get noticeably inconsistent after a couple thousand rounds.
The good:
Coming from a CYMA cm045, this thing feels amazingly premium and solid. The selector is super satisfying and tactile. The magazine retention and reload feel super great and tactile (w/ the included Arcturus mag) (Barely worked with my CYMA Mags, even with modification); they really knocked it out of the park on that alone. The frame, rails, wiring; everything generally feel really solid. Nice weight to it, if that's your thing. The quick change spring system is great, one less gearbox disassembly is always a win. The Accuracy is meh, the barrel length on the PDW variant is super short compared to other aks-74u's out there so it's to be expected I guess.
Wish List:
Perun Clicker, I would have happily paid an extra $100 for that alone.
Overall, pretty happy with it. I'd recommend a hand stop because I nearly shot my own fingers a handful of times when switching shoulders.
