"For the $250 price tag, this replica gives you a lot, but that doesn't mean quality was sacrificed one bit. I bought the 13.5" carbine version about a year ago and it's still running beautifully with an 11.1V 30c LiPo. I have had no issues whatsoever with it. The main selling point for me was the "feature enhanced" model, and it both allows you to digitally tune the trigger as well as set your fire selector modes to whatever is field compliant, like I personally use either the 2-round or 3-round burst settings as my other mode, but mostly stick to semi. Aluminum MLOK handguard is also an extremely nice addition. Very good beginner AEG if looking for sub-$300, and even more intermediate players may find a good deal with this. Highly recommended.

"I have the CQB 8", but they're all basically the same. I'm running 30C 11.1v in it.

__-- The Unicorn --__

I've had this thing for about a year, and I have to say it's absolutely outstanding. I just got back into the sport because my son was interested, and pretty quickly knew I had to get a replica after being out of the sport for almost 20 years.

I won't compare it to the guns from frontier times, but to the 4 other guns in our collection. I'll also spit out some general info. I'm lazy and won't list the others, but it's not really that important.

- Two of the others also have quick change springs, but this is by FAR the easiest (and quickest) to swap springs. That's important because we play indoors (1.1j limit/~350 w/.20) and outdoors (400fps w/ .20). The SSR4 isn't too bad for switching springs, but his Umarex HK 416 is terrible by comparison. The Arcturus EASILY turns and comes out after pressing back on the spring guide. The stock comes off easily and completely as well, so it's truly QUICK! 5/5

- BB speed/consistency was outstanding, with it being maybe 345 /- 1.5 fps. 5/5

- Accuracy was shocking OTB, though range was pretty good. It was just about a laser until 65' give or take, with 50-60ft giving me tiny 3" groupings over and over, with almost zero shots being an inch or two outside. I'd say somewhere around 75' still being accurate enough for body shots. 5/5

- RoF I think is around 18-19rps. I'm bummed that outside of milsim, everything around here is semi-auto. RoF hasn't mattered AT ALL for me, but I'd be happy with the RoF IF I COULD USE IT! :(

- Build Quality is also just fantastic. This thing is SOLID despite not being metal. I'm not using it to chop wood or anything, but I have no qualms about laying it down in a hurry without a thought. I had to slide into a trench/tunnel to get into a structure, and basically dropped it into grass form a couple of feet so I could pull my M9 and slide into the trench to clear the building. If it fell off a workbench or a strap fell off, I wouldn't really be worried and just give a cursory inspection. All of the controls simply work flawlessly, feel absolutely sturdy/solid. 5/5 (6/5 for being ~$250)

- Mosfet is killer! To be honest I haven't dug into everything with it, but I'll be doing some fine tuning soon. I basically changed it so it's SAFE - SEMI - SEMI due to all fields here requiring semi-auto with some exceptions for LMGs. (Yes, I'm thinking about getting a box mag and bipod to LMG it up just so I can.) Ease of use is probably dependent on experience with mosfets, which I had almost none. Color indicates which setting you're changing and beeps indicate the 'level' for that setting. I need to mess with the active break and pre-cocking.

- Upgradeability is quite good, though apparently the gearbox limits mosfet choices. I don't care too much about that, but it should be mentioned. It's close to "standard", so swapping out most things shouldn't be a hassle. I've only changed the bucking to get more accuracy at range, and currently can hit 6" groupings at 100' now that the bucking settled in. The improvement was slight until my last game, where I'd win fight after fight @ around 100' when opponents were in near full cover. I was cackling, and telling my gun how much I loved it the entire time! I went full-nerd SO hard! I already mentioned changing springs is stupid easy.

Just Notes:

- Stock is awesome. Room for a nice battery (3-part), stupid easy locking door that won't get lost, is basically wiggle free, plenty adjustable, etc. A+

- Obviously the description talks about steel gears and all of the burly internal, and I haven't had one hiccup, worry, or a single though really about the gearbox. It's solid as can be, so it's almost transparent when I think about the gun.

- I did run into feed issues with some of my mags after changing the bucking, but that's probably entirely my doing. I haven't really tried tackling it yet, but will now as last game got a bit frustrating. This was NOT an issue in ANY way prior to me messing with it. I have 3 different types of mags for it and have slapped in a few others with ZERO issues until I got involved.

- Metal handguard? YES! It's just fantastic, and seems unreal for a sub $250 gun.

- The description mentions a working bolt release, but I want to mention just how awesome that is. I haven't had to mess with the hopup much, but it's a breeze when I do. One of my son's guns doesn't have that, and it LOOKS like I'm using some judo moves on it when helping him dial it in.

- Part of me wants to get a full metal for the extra cool, but I only want 1 or 2 weapons and I already have a spare. This thing is SO good that I'd be worried a new gun would slightly disappoint, OR that if it were better I'd somehow miss using this one. I'm seriously on the fence, because I'd be hard pressed to have any reasons to get a new primary. The ONLY thing is that i'd like full-metal.

- The stock barrel is fantastic, but I did spring for a nicer 300mm barrel that I'm going to try the next time I'm outdoors. I'll just slap a barrel extension on, tune the FPS, and see what happens. I can't say there's any "need" to upgrade the barrel, but I like to tinker.

- I am going to pick up an aftermarket hopup just to see what happens. Worst case is that it's pointless and I put it in one of our other weapons that actually could use a better hopup.

Conclusion
The tech has changed SO much in the last 15-20 years that it's like starting from scratch for an old goat. This was my "starter" gun, painstakingly researched along with countless other M4s. There are other excellent guns out there in this price point, but I cannot imagine a better experience OTB. It has so many excellent features, will make you smile ear to ear the first time you field it, and you don't have to start a list in your head of upgrades to make it great. It IS great. Looks sweet too, IMO. I might only "upgrade" to a different gun if something catastrophic happened, and would be nervous that new weapon might not be as good. I might get a full metal Arcturus if the model is as new or newer just because I won't have to spare a thought. I'd have to spend a bunch more for a different manufacturer that I'd be pretty confident in, and also get a fancier or universal mosfet, etc. I -love- this thing!

"This gun is amazing I’ve had it for a bit and it works perfectly I have the cqb version which is nice cause it’s less heavy and easier to manage on the field and the gun shoots great definitely recommend this gun.
