"I love this gun it is durable and performance fantastically. The only problem I have with it is the hip up unit. A pice of it broke and now the hop op won’t stay in the same place so I had to put ducked tape on it. Over all it’s a well done rifle

"this gun is fantastic!
it's as accurate as you're gonna need it to be, probably my only airsoft gun where adjusting the rear sight actually matters
only problem i've had is that it seems like the most common k98 rail won't fit on this? i'm not sure, it's hard to say
you can find the same exact model of rail on amazon, ebay, even here on evike, yet it seems that there's no tutorials on how to install it, or even a picture of one installed on a k98 as far as i can tell
to get back on topic though, fantastic gun, built well, works well, and not too pricey either

"I received this rifle about a month ago. I am a huge fan of all things WW2 and this offerings fills a huge hole in the WW2 airsoft community. As a springer that doesnt use cartridges it is infinitly more skirmishable than the previous KAR 98s.

The faux wood stock is a pitty but for plastic is well done and solid. The gun shot hard an accurately and the hop up was effective up to .28 gram BBs. I am easily able to hit the neighbors plastic recycle bin 160 feet away aiming right at it. It hits hard enough thatit provides a satisfyingly loud thwack.

The magazine is well done and when clicked into place looks correct from a replica point of view. The owners manual does not point out that when the magazine is empty the bolt locks back but that was pointed out in other reviews. Not knowing it caused some alarm early on in my ownership experience. Loading and unloading the magazine is far easier than the thin magazine andtrap door in S & Ts M1903 Springfield which I also own.

I did take 4 days inletting an actual Kar 98 stock and handguard and though pencil lead thin in places it works well. My hope is S & T will offer a real wood version.

I heartily commend S & T for providing us WW2 fans with models we have been denied for far too long and have to say this is 5 for 5 on all levels. I love this rifle. Looks great, feela great and shoots straight and hard.

"An update on the short range on my unit. Fiddled with the hopup bucking, and all of a sudden the effective range jumped to at least 150 feet, likely longer. It appears as if the BBs were not getting the proper backspin with the bucking as having shipped out of the factory, and now they are because of the little adjustment. I am now shooting way over the 100-foot target at the maximum hop.

"Great Gun

Ive had this gun for a while now and it has preformed very well. Synthetic wood is great and the gun feels very sturdy.

Pros:

Looks amazing

Feels Great

Accurate

Cons

Trigger is a bit stiff but can be fixed with lubrication

The lower body where you insert the mag came loose but it was an easy fix by just screwing it tight and I have not had that problem anymore

Mags are hard to find

Overall a great gun and I would highly recommend it.

"This gun is very authentic and a very good purchase, although the front sight hood is lose and may come off it is swung while running so I suggest using epoxy to make sure it stay on firm, but this gun is very accurate and very powerful, I was hitting targets at 120-150 feet with no upgrades, I highly suggest buying this!

"Just got mine today. Feels great, looks nice, and shoots very well. I don't have much of a shooting range, but this thing will shoot far. Just note that if the mag is empty, you can not push the bolt forward.
Pros:
Feels great
Looks amazing
Shoots very well
Very strong, high quality plastic
I don't know:
Full extent of range and accuracy
Fps
If I can replace the stock with real wood
Cons:
Mags are rare, but comes with speed loader and adapter

If you want a good sniper or just a great ww2 rifle, then get this.

"It's honestly better than what I expected, no upgrades were done yet and I was getting head shots from a hundred feet away with .30 bb's. Make sure to be careful when you pull the bolt back and push it forward and don't do it so fast or you will jam the gun. When the mag is empty you will no longer be able to push the bolt back forward and you must change the mag, remember that so you don't break the bolt. Mags can be found at SWIT airsoft for about $10, I got 3 of them. I accidentally bumped the rifle a few times trying to get out of tight spaces really fast but it did not break and the imitation wood feels pretty durable. I wished the ramrod on the rifle was able to be removed so I can actually use it but it's alright. I just want to thank S and T for making a mag fed Kar 98k, I was literally about to give up and buy a mosin nagant because the real wood ones are so expensive. This rifle is not for real competition, I have it because I wear a Wehrmact outfit but it still can compete with other airsoft guns if you're obviously not playing in a close quartered area.

"I've heard a lot of great things about this gun so far and the mags are hard to find but they are on Switch Airsoft, along with a G&G kar89k scope that will fit perfectly with this gun, my gun is in the mail and I can't wait to receive it

"Looks and feels awesome, shoots hard and accurately, out of the box an awesome gun for actually playing and cosplay. Very very pleased with this gun, super high quality!

"This thing is great! Nice weight to it, for being ABS plastic. Very accurate and comfortable. Mags are hard to find but otherwise a great buy. Perfect for WWII period players or if you just like vintage looking guns. Great bang for your buck. Finally the WWII period players have a non C02 or Green Gas Kar 98 under $200.

"The gun is well made, the fake wood is pretty decent, as well as the bolt being made of nice metal. The bolt was a little stiff, but some gun oil did the trick. Great price.

"Good price, nicely made. It hits pretty decent as well.

"Update from my first review- I was shooting my K98 last night went through
3 mags and then it stopped shooting only a puff of air. WTF!!!! Ok so what I found was about 6 BBS were stuck between the hop and the bolt never got into the barrel of the gun what happened was when they come out the go up above and the bolt wont lock forward. After recocking the bolt many times which is why there where 6 or 8 BBS there I opened my hop all the way back an pushed a cleaning rod in and I was able to get all the BBS out and it fired. This started to happen after I was doing a Chrono and got great results 360 fps so then I realized I had the hop in the normal position all the back toward the butt of the rifle, when i was shooting my last mag I moved the hop to the middle it fired fine then I did the chrono and after a few time I got nothing but air coming out. After clearing the BBS it was fine the hop was back to the normal position.
Now does this change my thoughts on my first review NO because I am not a gamer, I just love this rifle it is still my favorite today I am getting the shell ejecting gas K98 hoping this will work for me.
One more note all the reviews I saw had the hop adjustment under the rear site in as an allen key to adjust mine has a slide I push back and forth and all the way back towards the bolt is normal and no problems shooting so gamers I think will have a problem with this as a snipper rifle trying to get those BBS out But still recomment this rifle for fun and the realistic I even ordered a bayonet for this one as I did for my my M16, M14, M1 Garand and M1 Carbine. Love these Legends

"This rifle is a great representation of the real firearm. It's a great starter marksman rifle and feels great at outdoor fields. However, I do not recommend bringing it to an indoor field as the barrel length makes it impossible to room clear, and with .20 bb's, it shoots way too fast.

Pros:
Great recreation; feels like the real thing.
Very accurate when shooting at long distances, and with the leaf sight it makes shots at 100, 200 yards possible.
Very smooth bolt.
Can shoot .20s and .25s.

Cons:
The faux wood stock has no weight in the butt, and almost all the weight is in the front of the gun.
Safety can jam and lock up. Takes about 4-5 tries to engage it.
With .20s, the gun shoots at 394 fps, and is way to fast for any indoor field. .25s are better but still fast at 356 fps.
