"This rifle is a beast I love it! I have had it for about 3 years now and works amazing still! It goes good for people wanting to complete a WWII load out just like i did it's amazing! Ics did a amazing job on it!

Pros:
works great after 3 years
Shoots REALLY ACCURATE
THE MAGAZINES DO FIT IN THE M1 CARTRIGE BELT!
Feels like the real thing
I've dropped it a lot and never broke the internals or anything

Cons:
Over time of use the wood will get scratched, mine actually broke but I glued it and looks good still like it never happen

"Just recieved my M-1. Out of the box, it is impressive. The wood is a good service tone and has the slight oder of linseed oil. I like the clip concept, as it hold plenty of ammo and is easy to change out. The gun has a nice solid feel.

Overall, the gun represents the real M-1 failry well. There are a few details that I noticed that may or may not detract from the gun, depending on the buyer. First, the trigger guard is a M-14 trigger guard. Second, the gas tube and the barrel are seperated by a gap at the muzzle. The result of this is obvious when compared to a real M-1. The only negetive factor is that a real(or repro) bayonet will not fit on the gun. Not a big issue with most users though. There is a lot of plastic on the gun, such as the butt plate. It is molded well but I may try a real one on there just to se if it fits. The last small thing I noticed are the oversized sling and stacking swivels. Again not a big deal.

So far, the gun shoots well but I have not had a chance to put it through it`s paces. It is a nice representation of an M-1. It isn`t as correct as a Marushin gas M-1, but it will certainly work for WW2 skirmishers and collectors alike.

It comes with a loading tube, cleaning rod, spare clip(yay!) and a DVD I have yet to view. A nice gun with real wood that gives the look and feel of the real M-1. If you have the means, get one!

"Just arrived! This is a beautiful rifle. The feel, weight and looks are very similar to my real M1 (held side by side only the orange tip is the dead give away). The wood on the stock actually looks better on the ICS (but not quite as dense). The real deal spends too much of it's life in the gun safe but this airsoft rifle is perfect for the wall, a skirmish or any WWII reenactor! The price is great and I am not disappointed. The mag fits an M1 cartridge belt (check out Sarco or Charley's Surplus for good prices on this and leather or web slings). I like this better than the Echo1 M1918 BAR because of the real wood (and less weight) but both are awesome WWII weapons! Thanks, Evike, ICS and Echo1!

"Mine shot full auto, so that kinda sucked. Other than that its an awesome gun quite accurate to about 150-200 with .25! The wood is quite nice although I will be aging mine to use in a late war 1945 US Army Infantry kit. I would have given it 5 Stars if I didnt have to return the gun. But I will be getting another one. Cheers

"Hello everyone! I want to first point out i am heavily into wwii aisoft so this review is biased.

This gun is amazing if you havent handled a real m1 garand
It is much fatter and the gas assembly is HUGE compared to the real thing. This is most likely because of the fattening they had to do to fit the motor inside the grip and they wanted it to be all the same size. But this thing is HUGE its a good inch longer than the real M1 and is way bigger. For an example side by side go to WW1AA.proboards.com Find the DIY category and scroll until you see the thread titled "militarizing the ICS m1 garand" by 2nd Bat. However if you really want it to look real there was a person on that thread who made almost every oversized part real steel. He also shows size comparisons of various pieces.

PROS:
Heavy
Has extra mags(unlike gng)
different stain for each person
Cool magazine system
the main WWII infantry weapon

CONS:
oversized
mags dont practically fit in webgear pouches
too new looking

"ICS M1 Garand. Out of the box disappointment.

Pro’s
At 3 feet, it looks great.
Deans connector installed
Action sounds good.
The mags are tough. Load easily.
Out of the box hop up was set spot on for .25's. Your results may vary.

Con’s
Closer than 3 feet, you see the poor fitment.
Out of the box 325 fps with .20 BB’s
The wood finish (my example) has a lot of orange in its color.
My example arrived with chipped corners on the stock.
The wood stock does not fit the action. Very loose.
The trigger guard hooks into the mechbox. Not the stock or the receiver.
WW2 style bayonets do not fit. A M5A1 may fit but not a WW2 style.
Price: Even with a wood stock it's worth $350.00 retail at the most not $559.95.
The mags do not fit the stock. They wobble and look lie they may drop out.

325 fps with .20’s. YouTube retailer reviewers claim this problem is “silicone in the hop-up” and it will shoot 400+ with 20’s after it is cleaned. I am going to wait and see if human analog testing will affect the fps. Maybe a day at the field will improve the fps once the silicone is pumped out and a good barrel cleaning.

The mag release is clever but… if you are a WW2 air-softer and sling this rifle, expect to lose magazines. The mag release is in the perfect location to tap belts, pouches, and other gear. I will be adding a rubber band to prevent mag dropping on game-day. I know fitting a bayonet is not necessary and no one needs pointy devices on the field. But it shows designers attention to detail and this was a small detail to make right. They could have used slotted screw heads on the exterior. Again, a small detail that could have shown the designer was paying attention.

The upper hand-guard is “slap around” loose. A perfectionist would re-cut the lower stock to align all the hand-guards. I opted to use a rubber O-ring around the front of the upper hand-guard to fill the gap between the guard and the barrel band. Not very noticeable and it works. The receiver lifts out of the stock revealing wires and shiny internals. There is not much you can do about this. The trigger guard hooks into the mech-box pulling it into the stock. If you think you can simply shim the action for a better fit, think again. Too much pressure on the cast zinc mech-box and these contact points will fail. I will not be tinkering with this fit. It's snug and it locks in. That's enough for me.

"After owning 2 of these i can confidently say, it is a fantastic gun.
My only issue is with the gearbox. The diamond-shape shuttle peice that sits on the outside of the gearbox that moves and activates when you fire the gun is very prone to wear.
It's not a question of IF the gun will wear out on you, it's when.

"Don't Get me wrong the ICS M1 feels amazing. It is well made and feels very sturdy. As a prop it looks nice maybe a little too new, but nothing much to complain about externally.

However, I took this thing to the field maybe 2 times before the gun completely stopped working.
Still unsure why, but now I have a really nice nonfunctional prop.

"So i've had an ICS M1 Garand since 2018. There was an old issue where a part on the ME-11 section of the parts list would not catch on the trigger and you would pull on the trigger and just not get anything. I put this up to aging parts and sent it to a tech to try and fix.

In the meantime I saw this new shipment and assumed it would be fine and good to go. Took it out to an open play and it worked fine. Assumed it was all green since it functioned and was new. Unfortunately I took it out this past weekend and it just stopped firing. Eventually a tech took a look on the same day and it turns out that this brand new M1 has the same issue as my old one. I think that the mold is getting old or whatever tolerances they have for the trigger assembly in the ME-11 section is insufficient because now I have 2 non-working ICS M1 Garands.

Maybe I just got a lemon? I have no idea, but I don't think I can recommend this rifle anymore which is a shame.
