"I got the green gas version, and I must say this gun is great straight out of the box! It feels really great in your hands. Also its got a great full metal construction, and that being said is very heavy even though its smaller than my other gun made of polymer. Another great thing is that my mags haven't leaked yet, and the gun has decent range and power. The only problem is that for some reason a small external part on it has started to get specs of rust over it. It is the slide release, so maybe its because it comes in frequent contact with my finger. But its weird because I haven't owned it that long and its NEVER come in contact with water. I guess its not a super big deal, I suppose I could always paint over it. Overall great gun for beginners or experienced players.

"I got this gun a few weeks back. I'll start by saying that I have shot pistols valued over $1000, and this somehow is by far my favorite pistol I have ever owned (Maybe being beat by WE Samurai Edge M9). I don't know what it is but this is just such a great pistol that I only have like one complaint. It is not as snappy as other pistols, but that can be fixed with a new spring and increased gas flow. Besides that I have no complaints. Super realistic, super high quality, and super easy to use and tech.

"I’ve had this gun for a week and love it. The weight makes it feel like I’m handling the real thing and the capacity is excellent. The controls are easy to use and familiarize yourself with. Magazines hold enough gas for almost 2 magazines. Only downside I’ve noticed is the magazine. The spring is strong and the plastic on top of the magazine can break if you slam the follower into it. Other than that, I really enjoy it and recommend it, especially as it is about as close as you can get (that I know of) to the Sigs used on NCIS.

"love this gun. very ergonomic. dont need to lose your grip for any controls. slide release de-cocker mag release. grip is still in place. the masking tape around the inner barrel that comes in it for the hop is necessary to prevent the vertical for the inner barrel, i tried removing the tape and it had wobble. if you wish to remove the orange tip you should keep in mind that the tip is what keeps the inner barrel centered through the outer barrel so you will probably need to leave it in or remove it and spray paint it.

"This gun is hands down on of my favourites mainly because it has the weight of a real gun and its also a training gun for the
CoastGuard

Pros

Mags are reliable

Cons
No safety
Hop wheel is hard to turn

"Very good build quality. Has a nice weight and is very realistic. Good features such as decocker and DA/SA action. My only problem is the plastic part of the magazine breaks somewhat easily. However, otherwise, great build quality and it shoots well. Would recommend any day.

"Context:
I have had this gun for a week, give or take, and did a little bit of backyard plinking. I know my way around a gas pistol and have built hi-capas and teched on plenty of others as well. That being said:

Pros:
Its a SIG SAUER P22X pistol and they all should be worshipped
It is ridiculously comfortable
The slide lock is up on top of the grip instead of in front of it is a great addition and way more comfortable for me
Slide locks on every empty magazine.
Ammo capacity is phenomenal at the mid 20's mark.
The triple white dot sight is great for a reliable sight picture
Accurate
The hop-up wheel keeps its position (I know the 1911 tac can lose its hop-up wheel position when shooting it, at least mine did)
AUDIBLE trigger reset click
Gas magazines hold about one and a half to two mags worth of green gas (Don't know about CO2)
The grip is wide/big so do not get this if you have smaller hands

Cons:
NO AMBIDEXTROUS. The gun is meant for right-handed people only, do not expect love from SIG if you shoot left-handed.
Racking the slide and getting resistance is very scary so when I rack the slide and see the nozzle extended out with friction I worry if the guns blowback system is reliable, however, I'll need to see how it performs in-game.
Sights are non-removable
The decocker doesn't set the hammer all the way down, it sits at a 20 percent pulled back position and its really awkward
I had a magazine leak on me on the 2nd day of owning it, but somehow it fixed itself within 5 minutes, so false alarm I guess

Overall a good pistol, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a SIG sidearm. I love my SIG's, they're very comfortable and reliable, but I don't know for certain if this airsoft replica will tell the same tale.
Fun Fact: this is the official training handgun of the US Coast guard so take that for what its worth.

"This is basically the KJW KP-02 but licensed and a couple of minor changes (specially the magazine). Engravings look good but the grip feels cheap like thin hollow plastic. Real sig 229 grips won't fit directly, I guess it can by modifying them.

The original magazine runs sluggish, like you are running out of gas, but the additional spare mag I bought ran well, has definitely more kick and feedback than the one that came with the gun. After looking into detail I noticed the spare mag knock valve had a different color from the original and maybe that's the problem? I could mitigate the sluggish issue by unscrewing the valve a bit so it sticks out more and more gas can flow but it still doesn't feel as good as the spare mag.

I bought spare KJW KP-02 mags and they work like the original mag, kinda slighish. The knock valve of the KP-02 mags was cone shaped compared to the sig which was flat. They were a tight fit but after a couple of mag inserts they now drop freely.

Hopup is very good, mine came with the hop at the mid setting and it shot bbs to the moon. I couldn't make it go lower and after inspecting, the hop wheel as bent and prevented me from lowering the hop. I straighten the hop arm channel and it worked for a while but since its made of plastic I chipped off after adjusting it. I upgraded to the Maple leaf 1911/226 wheel which is bigger and has kore adjustment range and added a fill valve o-ring to centralize the wheel since it was bigger and prevent it from being loose.

Lastly there is no mock firing pin and the gun looks awful when aiming. I bought a Guarder dummy pin for the Marui 226 and it was a drop in fit. Looks great now.

Overall it's a good gun, hops heavy bbs well and had good accuracy but for the feel/aesthetics I expected better for the price but I guess it's the only licensed 229 in the market.

"The pistol mags that come with this gun are garbage. I’ve had 1 break the first time I used it. The 2nd one leaked green gas and was useless.
