LCT LTS-Keymod-9.5 Steel AK Airsoft AEG

"Love this thing. Been playing with it fairly consistently for about 6 months and I love it, the rifle does everything well enough. I have installed a longer tightbore barrel and a softer bucking and it made this thing a laserbeam sniper killer. The ROF is middle of the road which is fine because this is not a CQB gun anyways. Mine came out of the box firing 440FPS but has dropped to 430FPS after breaking it in.

Pros:
- Feels extremely realistic, mnany people are put off by the weight but if you want something that actually feels like an AK this is for you
- Controls are crisp and give a satisfying thwack when pushed into single fire or full auto
- highly modifiable with all of the railing
- fitment of the stock magazine is very satisfying

Cons:
- A little bit of a headache to work on because of hard to reach screws
- battery compartment is a little cheap and would look into a different stock/battery housing solution

Bonus:
- EMG magazines feed and load in EXTREMELY well

"I just got this rifle about 7 days ago since I ordered (not including weekend). It shipped pretty fast since I live in Canada. Strong metal smell.
pro:
tightbore out of the box
good accuracy
good trigger contact
rails are already installed even though I wanted to do it myself
very nice stock. I took it off right away and put on my m4 and put magpul stock on it.
Great start for Alpha Ak clone.

Cons:
rof bid low
too heavy(I got to work out)
cannot change firing mode with right hand
the magazine Is just garbage.

Overall the gun is really sturdy and accurate. Despite the low rof but good trigger contact. Too heavy with all the accessories. Overall I am very satisfy with the gun. Never got any lemon from Evike, demonstrating good quality control. Some how i didn't get charge for custom. Will definitely buy again from Evike.

"I really do like this gun. Don't be put off by the 4 star review. It's just not for everyone.

Pros:

Lots and lots of rail space.

Sturdy enough to use as a murder weapon.

Super ugly, so it looks evil as hell, especially with an EMG Oppressor tracer unit. There's really nothing like it.

Tight tolerances, no wobble whatsoever.

Accurate, good FPS consistency out of the box.

Cons:

The mag that comes with the gun absolutely sucks. It's a cheap piece of plastic. Buy a Cyma mag for this thing.

No sling mounting points. You need to buy those.

Weird threads. You need an adapter to put on a tracer unit.

Heavy enough to use as a murder weapon (10 lbs!).

Certainly not a very pretty looking gun. This could be a pro, depends on your taste. What isn't a pro, however, is the fact that there are many sharp edges on this gun. I've cut myself a few times on them. Worth it though. Makes the gun seem more evil ngl

Tolerances are so tight that you feel like you need power tools to take it apart the first time. After a couple times, it becomes easier.

Shit motor, meh hopup.

I had inconsistencies with the safety switch. It wouldn't always engage, and it would slip gears, making the gun unable to switch to semi-auto. I took the gun apart multiple times to try and fix the problem to no avail. I ended up just needing to bend the safety lever back a little bit. Now it works just fine. Hopefully this problem was just for me.

Final thoughts:

There is nothing else like this gun on the market. It is absolutely a very ugly beast of a gun, and I really like it. However, this will be impossible to carry for an extended time for those without a decent amount of upper-body strength. Or you could, you know, get a workout.

There is absolutely an M4 that does everything this gun does better and more for a cheaper price. But you're not here for an M4, are you? I think you'll be happy with this gun. Just prepare to make some compromises.

"This thing is heavy and ugly, but shoots great.
Receiver has two heavy metal plates riveted to the inside, so along with the gas tube and metal handguard, this thing gets heavy! Mine arrived with a dent at the front of the handguard, but it's an AK, so I just hit it with a file to take off the edge and moved on.
Internals are solid with steel toothed piston, shimmed gears and good air seal. Shoots right at 385-390 with .25g bb's.

"The externals on this gun are really solid, which is what you'd expect when it's made from steel. I can't really comment on internals because I gutted this gun to make an hpa build, which it works really well when paired with an f2. One thing I hate on this gun is the selector lever, because my pointer finger would have to be an inch longer to actually flip it one handed even though I have big hands and long fingers. Nothing an aftermarket selector can't remedy, but it's annoying to say the least. The hopup isn't exactly top of the line, but it's acceptable to use untill you find a better one. The weight takes some getting accustomed to at 9ish pounds considering my other gun is 4 pounds, so it may take a bit of conditioning, but you get used to it quickly if you spend a few full days using it.

The amplifier is nice to have if I ever decide I want the entire field to know I'm shooting, but I replaced it with a 24mm to 14mm adapter and slapped a tracer onto it. A heads up for future owners, the 24mm threads don't seem to be removable like on some other LCT guns, and if they are you need to be the hulk to get them off. Tried a hair dryer, heat gun, and a blow torch with some channel locks and had no luck. Just buy the adapter if you want 14mm threads, because I'm pretty sure I would have stripped mine if I kept trying.

"The LCT LTS, along with all of LCT's other offerings has excellent external features. The internals may be TOO excellent for some.

The gun chrono'd at 454 with .20 gram BB's and 389 with .28's at 1.9 joules. For an AEG, this is insane and bordering on unusable. The gun is advertised as 400 FPS, so I sadly had to leave the field today due to shooting almost half a joule over the 50 foot engagement distance limit. To some it's a waste of $300, to some it's a simple spring fix.

On to the good. The gun feels absolutely rock solid. It has decent accuracy, and a mediocre trigger response and ROF. Again, a simple motor would fix this.

Overall, if you can look past a few flaws, it's a good gun to add to your arsenal. If you just want a no hassle, game on experience- probably not for you.

"Externally the build quality is extremely nice for the price more so if paired with a 25% off coupon, has enough space in the top cover for a ASG stick 1500 mah 11.1v lipo with deans. The stock is decent enough, though still find it hilarious the amount of battery space their YouTube video advertised despite not being a rear wired gun and the QD sling should work with any standard one, G&P in my case works flawlessly. The gun works well with their mag well spacer helping speed up reloads.

Disassembly isn't bad just 1 pin and 4 screws and you're at the gearbox, which is a well made shell and internally the parts are pretty solid, stock compression system gets fairly consistent fps despite having a slight compression leak, they are above average for out of the box parts though the piston head and cylinder head seemed to be made of harshly cut aluminium that I'm not a huge fan of. The o-ring air nozzle, cylinder, and ball bearing spring guide are good and really don't need to be replaced. The gears are shimmed well enough and everything else seemed to be solid minus the motor, just toss it for an SHS HT instead as the trigger response is substantially improved.

The worst part about the gun was the hop up unit, out of the box the nub wasn't installed right and it was missing a piece of the adjustment arm making it much harder to grab on to, on top of the adjustment arm just being loose despite tightening it down, could of been a lemon but it's not the first case of it happening. The barrel isn't bad, wasn't that dirty out of the box and the hop up window was a proper square one. At the field after fixing the hop up as best as I could range and shot consistency at best was average, enough to get through a days worth outdoor play but at the same time worth upgrading to a Lonex hop up unit with better barrel and bucking.

I would of given it a 3 star review due to the hop up unit basically being a lemon, but considering the gun is $225 with coupon and again the external quality being well above average in it's price range along with having a decent gearbox to work off of, I can easily recommend it to anyone looking for a base to build up an AEG or HPA setup.

"Look and feel is somewhat Ok. If you're starting at Airsoft and thought about a tactical AK, this is a good choice.

I picked this because E&L AKs are not available and I thought it would be an easy upgrade to get the Alpha AK clone look. This will not fit a Zenitco B30 B31 rail without changing the front sight. The front side is too wide. It has a missing lower handguard retainer which makes it more difficult to switch to a Zenitco rail. So now I have to buy a low profile front sight and a lower handguard retainer. Another gripe I have are the markings, they're not too deep. The stamp they used didn't made enough deeper or bolder impression for the safety, semi and auto markings. The hop up is terrible. I had to put washer to tighten the screw so it will not slide the arm freely. The inner barrel is brass and needs an upgrade. Inner barrel is not well polished. Hop up window on the inner barrel needs to be bigger if you plan on doing flat hop or Rhop. Definitely need to upgrade the hop up and inner barrel. Lastly, LCT didn't go balls deep going for a tactical look on this model. They missed upgrading the selector switch & charging handle to extended versions and went for a M4 buffer tube vs. folding stock.

Overall, this model has a lot of potential but I suggest looking at E&L AK replicas for an alternative.

"I saw how it looked and it spoke to me,I couldn't help but buy it.I manged to get a 2500 mah battery in there by extending the gearbox plug slightly(you will see after opening the dust cover it can be lengthened or shortened) and pushing both plugs to the left in the cover.I used it in my first outdoor game ever, and it rained non stop. About 4 hours after getting home i wiped it down and no rust was to be seen. In-climate weather screws with BBs so they were all over the place but it was fairly accurate when things were calm.LCT Magazines have the best fit and are not MAP protected so i suggest you get those.I have some MAG ak magazines, they work but they wobble a lot.

Now for my gripes. This aeg comes with both weaver(handguard) and a out of spec picantinny rail for the dust cover. You will find out some rail accessories are picantinny or weaver only so plan accordingly and pay attention to the rail pattern attachments use.I had a PC sling mount which didn't fit on the weaver rail so I had to get another. In order to mount my SPARC AR to the dust cover I have to use a torque wrench with 30 pounds of pressure. If you have a optic that uses screws it may need to be over tightened to fit the dust cover rail. Now the biggest gripe, the new LCT stock. It is cheap and flimsy,I snapped the hinge straight off the stock within a hour of play.If you don't eff around and take initiative during the game chances are you are gonna sprint.Down hill Sprint + Rain + scrambling for cover while under fire after falling on your behind = broken stock. The buffer tube seems to be a proprietary 4 position so the whole assembly needs to be replaced.Good gun,bad accessories.

"Ok... I'm actually surprising myself by writing a negative review about an LCT. Apart of the design, weigh, etc, this gun is actually bad. I've been using LCT only for about 4 years and this is the first time I got dissapointed.

The FPS were about 360 using .25 bbs, all of my others LCT reach about 400 with .25 bbs. The actual distance, with good hop up adjustment didn't get through the 25 meters. Accuracy was not good either, a total mess and bbs going everywhere with lots of dispersion (I usually use .28 or .30 bbs in all my guns to prevent this as much as posible, but with this gun was much more noticeable).

It's got pretty good externals but you have to change the internals for sure. The gun is hard, you can literally pass a car over it and it won't make it a single scratch. Beast of a gun if you change all the internals which is another $200 to invest in the weapon.

After I changed all the internals, this gun is a beast. I've played in the rain, mud, sand, dust and the full-steal externals looks to work pretty great by not damaging the internals at all even in the most hardcore enviroments.

Do I recomend this gun? Yes and no... If you're disposed to invest another $200 on changing internals, this gun is definetly pretty good option, not recommended to use as it comes from stock.

"This is going to be a thorough and honest review. I bought this gun about a month and a half ago and I play every Sunday.

Pros: On the outside this thing is a tank. You could 100% smash through a door with this thing. The hand guard, dust cover, body, and charging handle all feel super solid and do not wiggle at all (I have my sling mounted to the dust cover and it has never bent or popped open once). The magwell fits most mags and is very tight with little wiggle. There are also tons of keymod slots for attachments. The select fire is super stiff and will not switch fire modes accidentally. The fire rate isn’t super fast with 8.4v but that doesn’t bother me much.

Unfortunately everything else is a con: The FPS out of the box IS NOT 400 out of the box with .28g BBs, I think mine shoots maybe 300-350. The hop up unit also slides around by itself which leads to me adjusting it once every game (10 minutes), it also fails to load BBs every so often. After maybe 3 weeks my semi auto setting also does not work every now and then so I have to use full auto and just tap the trigger. 2 of the RIS rail mounts that came with the gun stripped very easily and are unusable now. Every so often I think I can feel the motor in the handle wiggle as well. My stock hasn’t had any issues, but it is the only plastic part on the gun so it could get damaged very easy.

Noteworthy things (Not really cons): The battery is wired to the stock, and the stock also will not fit brick type batteries. The top of the hand guard DOES NOT have keymod slots, the RIS is simply screwed on. The sights are hard to see but not a big deal. The mag that comes with the gun is garbage, just throw it away. The gun is also pretty heavy compared to most, people with weak arms definitely shouldn’t get this.

Summary: The most I would pay for this gun is $250. Performance in the field will have you ripping your hair out as it is super frustrating to play with. It is 100% not worth the price and I would have bought a different gun if I could do it again. But with lots of internal upgrades and maybe a new stock, this gun could be perfect. Hope this was helpful.
