Matrix 1.5-6 X 28 Variable Zoom Scope with Illuminated Reticle

"Excellent scope. I like the 1.5x zoom a lot. This scope comes with a battery already installed and lens covers already on and can can be removed. It has 5 brightness settings for both red and green. It has a Plex reticle and part of the middle Plex is illuminated when turned off. If the illumination is turned off, it's just a standard black reticle. For the lens covers, the larger one worked fine, folding cover, spring loaded. The smaller one up front however I had to do some work on. When you try to flip up the cover, it would bring up the frame that it pops into, coming out of the rubber case. I had to glue the plastic frame of the cover to the rubber case and file off a bit of the part that locks into the plastic frame. After a good 15 minutes if maintenance, the front lens cover popped open perfectly.

"Excellent short-dot scope. Clear sight picture and easy to adjust. If you run an SPR or DMR build I highly recommend this optic.

"It comes exactly as you see it, without a mount. It looks great and works great. The red and green illuminated reticle compliments the crosshairs very nicely, but the intensity for the red light doesn't illuminate the sight as well as the green. The adjustable windage and elevation is fantastic as it is made very easy to adjust without having to worry so much about readjustments. The variable zoom is also great; it doesn't get blurry as you increase zoom as do some scopes. Only down side, of course, is that it needs a mount. Overall, one of my favorite variable zoom scopes used for my main weapon.

"This is a pretty good airsoft scope, but it has a few drawbacks you should be aware of. First, the adjustment knob assemblies can unscrew from the scope entirely! I wasn't expecting this when it happened. Just locktite it back into place. The scope does require a mount of some sort. The scope turrets can't be indexed to the "zero" markings after sight in. Seems to hold it's zero so far. Overall not bad. Great for anybody who has a DMR or SPR setup. Can be used for CQB on the 1.5X setting.

"Well, the old saying "you get what you pay for" is still true, and at $85, you get what you pay for with this scope. The reticle is pretty thick and you have to aim off to one side to see your target, and then it gets thicker as you zoom in. Illumination works on most settings, but is hit and miss on others. Glass is pretty decent without TOO much blurring...and the outer tube diameter isn't an even 30mm: at some points a scope mount has solid hold, at other points the scope just spins in the mount. The eye relief is the worse part: you have to get your nostril right up against the charging handle to get a complete sight picture. That really ought to be at least 3 inches for comfort and a decent cheek weld. So, overall I'd give it a 5 out of 10. I'd send mine back, but it got scratched up spinning in the scope mount. My advice, give Evike the extra money for one of their better optics.
