5KU Low Profile Rail Insert for AK Series Rear Sights

"Was able to get this mounted on a Cybergun AK Beta Spetsnaz. Not recommended, but can be done.
The sight slot in the rail came in handy to align the red dot. With the red dot attached, could align a laser on the bottom of he AK using the front iron sight and the rail sight slot. Align red dot to laser and happy hunting.

"Awesome little mount for the price. Have it mounted on my LCT Ak 74 MN and it works like a charm. Really great especially if you're planning on using with a mesh mask as it keeps the sight high enough you can easily aim.

Only consideration is the rail is rather short but has JUST enough room to fit a standard panorama red dot and a sight protector

"Despite the other reviews on this product I have absolutely no issues with it. It was solid with the provided screws and I could shake it about (rather violently) without any wobble. The issue with not being able to look down the sights to see the front was also not an issue (though I had to raise it up a bit more to see properly.) It is rather high up and would suggest a low sitting sight with it

"Great rail, came with all hardware needed, only issue is that the rail itself is slightly too skinny for my red dot sight to fully tighten. I ended up having to use a riser, so it kinda defeats the low-profile-ness of the rail. I'm sure other optics will work, just something to keep in mind.

"This rail replaces the rear iron-sight of an airsoft AK. The screw it comes with is too short for it to reach to the other side of the AK and screw on with the nut (provided). Make sure you have screws & extra nuts hanging around so you can put it on your AK correctly. Other than that, the rail fits well but it has a little bit of wobble (even tightened), I recommend hot glue to fix that.

"Quality was nice, but the fact that it came without instructions is a big minus, especially because there's multiple screw holes, and less screws, which is very confusing.

On top of that, the main mounting screw was too short for my CM040D. So I couldnt even attach it.

Lastly, from what i could tell, it wouldnt sit flat even if the screw was long enough.

So if it fits for you great, but it seems like its kind of a shot in the dark for compatibility.

"the 5ku rail insert is nice but "low Profile" would not accurately describe it, it really sits quite high to the point that the cut out to use the iron sight is useless as you can't see the front sight through it. The overall construction is good but the screws back up and it wobbles pretty severely. solid purchase if you just want to mount a low profile optic like a micro-dot but put loctite on the screws.
