CYMA Sport Full Size AK Beta Spetsnaz Airsoft AEG Rifle w/ RIS & LE Stock

"I've owned this for a little over a year now. It is mainly a backup gun and others use it when they come and play with me, so it hasn't had a whole lot of abuse. It shoots 350 fps which is fine. My only complaint is the small mag that comes with it. It'll lift .36 bbs (haven't tried anything heavier). For $80 I think it's pretty great.

"Got this recently. The gun is super lightweight, all plastic, but I’m happy to say the FPS clocked at just under 330FPS with .20g BBs, making it under 1 Joule. This model also features the updated TM spec body compared to the other Cyma Beta Spetz model, which has the old school TM clone design from the 2010s. I haven’t taken it out to the field yet but it’s pan on it.

"Good, lightweight AEG. Mine came with a full stock (that houses the battery)..?? I own 2 AK-47’s, an RPK, and SVD, so this was very welcome in my home. Very good gun for CQB, (allowable FPS on semi auto) and seeing that I live in Connecticut, the woods get very tight, and it’s very nice for being able to creep through and not get hung up. I did have to give it a very thorough lubrication upon receiving the gun, and then again after my first use. So, be wary of that. I use a 9.6 V battery, and it fits very nice in the stock. All in all, I would give it a four out of five only due to the fact that it’s all polymer. Performance wise, the gun is nice for medium distance engagement, and CQB as I stated earlier. Fires clean for about 50 yards before drop. I also use 25g, or 28g BBs. Hope that helps. Get some!

"I bought this with the intention of using it in CQB, and let me say, it will definitely do the job! When I bought it, I didnt have too high of hopes for it. It is a sportline model, so its all plastic other than the gear box. With that being said, it is very light. It is an adjustment from an old school DBOY stamped steel with metal RIS to this, the weight difference is huge! I have not fielded this yet for the FPS Evike shows is incorrect. I chronoed it at my field and it was shooting between 390-397 FPS with .20g and a 11.1 lipo. But from test shooting it, it does shoot quite nice. The threads at the end are a -14mm. They are not too terrible to get off but does take some effort. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is either looking for a cheap back up, base gun build, or just looking to get into airsoft!

Dust Cover (Feels really flimsy and cheap, can be a pain to put back on)
Battery storage (IT IS WIRED TO TOP, and the battery compartment is very small)
FPS (Shoots hot to be a CQB, not a real con but is in my case)

"Gun performed well when it needed to. Just had an event yesterday and 2 of my m4 rifles went down and I was lucky enough to buy this gun to have as a backup/CQB gun. Got about 12-15 kills and ran it non stop from 11:00 am to about 2:00 pm. I bought a high cap and a mid cap mag for it and fitment with these was the only complaint I had with the gun. For the most part it fed well but every now and then I had some misfires seeing the magazines had some play compared to the one that came with it. I was able to fit a stick Lipo (1000 mah) in the normal battery compartment. For the price the gun did what it was supposed to and has some pretty good range. Cant wait to take it to the indoor arena. I will give it a 4/5 only because quality might seem a little low when you hold it in your hands but it performs very well.

"Feels Flimsy, Afraid if I Look at the Dust Cover the Wrong way it'll Break, (Real Flimsy), only Metal in this Weapon is the Gearbox and the Inner Barrel, Everything else is a Polymer, Replace the Bucking with a Madbull Blue, Stock Ones Garbage.
That being Said, not too bad Stock Starter Weapon, Will Re-emphasis, this is a Full Polymer Weapon, only Metal is the Barrel and Gearbox.

"I bought this as a test order. Ten days after the order, they dispatched it to be shipped off. Six days after that, they printed a label. Twelve hours later the product was in the hands of carrier to be sent to me.

This is the cm521. Most parts are going to be plastic. Gearbox is metal v3, just not as refined or polished as a higher model cyma. I've ordered other parts to replace these with metal pieces (trigger guard and dust cover to start). I've heard complaints about those two items. I'm also looking into replacing the mach bolt with a metal one as well as the m4 buffer tube. I've also noticed you need a really small stick lipo that fits in the cramped battery area under the dust cover.

"I can't tell you how the item works, because they still haven't shipped it yet.
If you've ordered it at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021, it looks to be a long wait.
I'd hold off on ordering from evike if this is what you want.

that being said, I have pieces here for it, you can find tiger111hk has a few metal parts to upgrade this with. Trigger guard and dust cover to start. Sitting here with a charger from airsoftmegastore, a laser/flashlight from amazon, a couple mags from airsoftgi, and a couple slings from ebay that I ordered a week after I ordered this, waiting for them to ship the product, currently in dispatched for a week.

As far as the product, you can see youtube reviews if you look up the cm521. that is this model number, if that's what you're looking for. Gate has also confirmed that the aster v3 will work fine with this gearbox.
