  • Rifled steel barrels
  • Improved spring for reduced sound signature
  • Polymer thumbhole stock
  • Muzzle break
  • Ambidextrous design
  • 1mm dovetail for mounting optics
  • Swiss Arms 4x32 Scope and mount included
  • Break Barrels are easiest to reload as they are lighter weight than the underlever or sidelever guns. Break Barrel guns do not need a separate cocking mechanism
  • Minimal recoil is inconsiderable, a nitro piston gun requires less practice to hold the gun properly
Perfect for the target range or the small game field, the Palco Swiss Arms TAC-1 Break Barrel Air Rifle is a great all-around air gun. Features tactical stock fitted with a rubber recoil pad. The new spring design provided added noise reduction and a smoother shot. Shoots all .22caliber/4.5mm pellets that are able to reach high speeds of 1000-1200 fps. Includes Swiss Arms 4x32 scope for consistently accurate shots.

Instead of using a coiled spring as the power plant, it uses a nitrogen-filled cylinder. The nitrogen in this cylinder is already kept under pressure and you put more pressure to it when you cock the gun. The air is held under tension until you pull the trigger.

Nitro piston extends smoothly and has less effect on the barrel so it has much less recoil. The minimal recoil of a nitro piston gun gives us several benefits. First, since the recoil is inconsiderable, a nitro piston gun requires less practice to hold the gun properly.

About Swiss Arms

Swiss Arms, formerly a sub-division of SIG, produces the standard issue service rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces the SG550 line.. The SG (Sturmgewehr / Assault Rifle) 550 was designed as a modern, modular infantry rifle meant to replace the Swiss Armys aging Stgw 57 Battle Rifles. The newer modernized rifle will feature modularity in a single platform to provide the appropriate equipment from Special Forces needs all the way to a General Issue Infantry weapon. Other features include vastly reduced weight as well as being chambered in the common NATO 5.56x45mm cartridge.

About Air Guns (Not Airsoft)

It's up to YOU to know the laws in your state, county, and city, and to fully comply with them. You must be 18 years or older to buy any air or airsoft gun.

Air guns are not airsoft or toy guns. They are recommended for adult use only and by youth under adult supervision. Misuse or negligence may cause serious injury or death.

1) ALWAYS keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. There are several safe "carries" depending on the situation. Treat your air gun like it is a real firearm.

2) Treat every gun as if it were loaded. Never point at anything you do not intend to shoot. Always keep the air gun on safe until you are ready to shoot.

3) Only load or cock a gun prior to shooting. Do not store a loaded gun.

4) Know your target and what lies beyond. Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION. Always keep the muzzle of the air gun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.

5) Anyone shooting or near a shooter should wear safety glasses.

6) All persons near a shooter should remain behind the shooter and the direction of the muzzle. Never climb or jump with a gun. You can't control the direction of the muzzle if you stumble or fall.

7) Avoid ricochet. Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit.

8) Keep the muzzle clear. Never let anything obstruct the muzzle of a gun. Don't allow the muzzle to come in contact with the ground.

9) Guns not in use should always be unloaded. Store the air gun in a secure location. Before you store your air gun, remove the magazine, make sure there is no magazine inserted, no rounds in the chamber, and make sure the gun is decocked.

10) Never brandish your air gun or airsoft gun in public. Do not brandish or display any gun in public - it may confuse people and may be a crime. Police and others may think it is a firearm.

11) Do not change the coloration and markings to make it look more like a firearm. That is dangerous and may be a crime.

"If it wasn't for the scope I would of gave it a 5. For $90 you don't expect much. I have to say I don't know if the stars were aligned right a certain way or maybe the Q A person picked this rifle to check either way I can't say anything bad about this rifle. I tossed the stock scope and rings but a Centerpoint 3-9x32 on top. Now this rifle consistently performs just as well as any of my guns that are 3 times more expensive. It steady Chronos at 850ish with CPHP 7.9's. The gun has no rattle or nor has it loosened up anywhere after I put 1500 shots through it. This gun is definitely worth giving chance heck pick one up as a pack up or to take your buddy shooting.

"Very solidly made, this rifle will last a long long time. Of course like all material thing, it must maintain properly. It is not loud as I assessed. I shot on a balcony place and it sounded like an empty soda can being drop. If it is use outdoor the noise should not be a problem. The cocking mechanism is very strong, it will produce powerful delivery of the pellet for sure. I would wear rubber/latex coated glove on left hand to handle the rifle to cock it. Use right hand to put pellet in and left to move the barrel upward. With the glove, you can hold the rifle with more strength and stability when shoot, rubber/latex coated glove will give you more grip. Handling of the rifle remind me of Mosin Nagant. I convert my Mosin Nagant from wood stock to synthetic stock, this Swish Arms Tac1 .22 air rifle feels and handles similar to it. JSB pellet seem best, it already oil at the manufacture. The heavier the pellet, the more it will maintain its direction during flight. The impact of the heavier pellet also make a different on game. Shoot several type grain and manufacture made to find out which is best for you. JSB pellet pricing is competitive. Getting off the topic, I also bought Hatsan Edge Vortex gas piston .25 cal air rifle with 3-9X32 scope after hearing great review and saw at a great price of $79.99 plus JSB 25.39 gr. pellet at $18.99. James at Ag Depot gave me free shipping and 10% off, it was so great a deal. Haven't rec'v it yet but will soon and will give review when test it out. Well, happy and safe shooting and hunting, I am very new to the air rifle world after more than 20 years of absence. I did own one .177 back in the mid 90's but don't know where the rifle is now. It is time to put some squirrel and small game meat on the table, hooah!

Well made rifle, company been around since 1869 but rifle made in China, quality control is good so you have a good product. Bought for $89.99 at Airgun Depot on May 16, 2018 with scope combo 4X32 plus JSB 18.13 gr pellet $18.99 plus shipping of $13.68.

May be a little heavy but with regular handling, you can use to it. Not everyone carry almost 7 lbs of stuff everyday all the time. Now if plus the scope, it will be more weight, but you should get use to it.
