"Nice hop up chamber, its light and has a good finish- however it does not fit into an LCT. After filing the factory LCT gearbox I was able to get the chamber in the gun but now face the problem of getting mags to actually lock in place even with LCT mags. Overall a good hop up chamber but its not built for LCTs.

"Good comes in black now, but watch out it does not fit the cyma gearbox immediately. Its possible to force it in since its only a bit off

"Bought this for my e&l ak 74 gen 2. It fits perfectly and has a more consistent reliable hop than the stock hop up. It also does not flex or bend no matter how cold or hot the tempreture is. Highly recommended.

"Took a chance on one of these hop-up units and the RetroArms magazine cube for the mag well. Great combo.

To start, this hop-up unit is designed to screw into the mag well cube underneath and the front top screw hole in your gearbox shell. This creates a tight fit with no gaps or wobble. I like the design, it's innovative, but It will not fit your stock CYMA gearbox right out of the box. With some slight filing it can though and it is worth it. To be fair It's designed for the RetroArms CNC gearbox shell, but since my stock CYMA gearbox shell is still fine I decided to make this work.

Do not file down the hop-up unit. Instead hold the unit up to the top most forward screw hole mount in you gearbox shell the one just above the nozzle and take note of how much metal you need to remove to make the hop-up slide over the screw hole. Then it's best to take your gearbox and shell apart to do the filing so you don't nick your nozzle, but I cheated and unscrewed it enough that i could pry it open and lift the shell away enough from the nozzle as to not damage it while I ran my file carefully and flatly over the screw holes till I had removed enough material that the hop-up unit would fit and screw to the gearbox shell with the provided longer hex screw.

This unit also clamps onto the barrel nicely as well with a split threaded washer which eliminates any chance of the barrel rolling or wobbling during shots. All together I am now getting the best and most accurate shots I have ever gotten, well worth the work. I recommend this unit even at this price and the work it took to fit it just for the results at the end. Together with the RetroArms mag well cube these have been the best two investments I've made in my Ak.

10/10 would buy again if needed.

"This is a very precise and well machined V3 hop up unit, fit well into my E&L AK105 and has a very smooth hop adjustment slide that doesn't "creep" when in use. However...however, the barrel (Madbull 6.03 with a Modify soft flat hop bucking) sits a little too deep into the unit, and the feed lips of the bucking protrude a bit too far into the path of the BB's as they feed up from the mag, resulting in poor feeding. I tried a couple different buckings, carefully re-installing the barrel into the hop unit...to no avail. You can see the lips protruding in a little too far with this Retro Arms Hop Up. Did I get a freak unit? IDK. Have been impressed with Retro Arms products in the past, but my feeding problems went away when I re-installed the stock E&L Hop Up unit with the same barrel/bucking combo. Could be the fit to the front of an E&L gearbox: I've used this same Hop Up unit on other builds in the past and had stellar results.

"This is a nice hopup (I get consistent hop). You will need to be ready to do some grinding due to it's poor fitment. It is not a plug and play sort of part, but once you get it to fit it work and looks good. My gun is a CYMA cm048 for reference.

"The build is nice fits together very well and the slider is smooth and unless it is a retro arms gearbox it will require some sanding down on the gearbox but it will then hold very sturdy however after all that for me it did not work, the feeding tube was too far away from the gearbox causing the magazine to not lock in place due to my magazines not lining up with the feeding tube on the hop up chamber, CYMA CM045 ak 74u.
