"First of all I really appreciate the qualities of the gun. I have had mine for about 6 months and love the qualities it brings to the table. Here are some pros and cons.
Pros:
- Realistic recoil
- HK trademarks
- 2 round burst
- Durability
Cons:
- Magazines
The magazine loading problem can be avoided by using the older ramrod style speedloaders. Store magazines loaded in order to loosen the springs. Not ideal but a good solution.

"Ok to start off the review I am VERY biased towards the UMP-45 in general just because of looks and it's place in movies such as Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace. That being said, this is a very nice gas blowback SMG. This thing has some GREAT RECOIL and once the hop-up and rear sight were adjusted properly, it shot very straight. I did have a slight problem with the magazine though but it was fixed after I let all of the gas out, let it warm back up, and re-gassed it. The only con about this gun is the magazines are a PAIN to load even with the speedloader. Other than that, I removed all the rails and the handstop and am planning to buy the G&G UMG mock supressor for it. Overall, I rate this gun a 5 out of 5 and it would be a fun CQB or Outdoor gun for the gas blowback enthusiast such as myself.

"I got this from a trade and the previous user took extremely good care of it. He told me he had this for about a year and a half, and rarely had a chance to use it due to his location.
The gun is built from a stronger type of polymer compared to the standard non-blowback version. It is very light weight and anyone can use it. The magazine holds around 25-ish rounds, and it's very hard to load bb's in even with a speed reloader. Firing mode comes with safe, single, double, and full auto; honestly 2 round burst works best for me in face-to-face combat. Gas consumption is moderate: I usually get about one and a half mags worth of bb's with one fill of propane. The abundance of rails on the sides allows you to customize this the way you want: I have mine decked out with an (replica) EoTech, foregrip, and the G&G UMG Silencer (The UMG silencer is not a 100% fit, but it clips on the barrel to the point in which it does not wiggle around. Highly recommended if you're looking for a silencer!) Overall, I love this a lot and I thinks it's a little bit under rated, but this is merely my opinion. Best of all, you can do the HK slap!!

"Update to my previous Review:
After tuning the hopup a bit more and allowing it to break in, I decided to take it to my local indoor arena.
Oh boy, this gun was fantastic. The building was room temperature, about 70˚F, and using a 6 second gas fill I got 2 mags worth on semi, which isn't that bad thinking about the rapid semi shots that occur in cqb.
Everyone noticed the loud "clank" noise every time I fired a shot. This thing is LOUD inside.
The only con was that the official field chrono readings were as follows:
w/ .25g
375.6 FPS
365.2 FPS
This gun may be a bit hot for some places without an NPAS or a quick mod, however I got lucky and my indoor arena has high FPS limits.
Still a 10/10!

"The umarex UMP gbb is a fantastic little smg! Mine has good stock range and fps, though it is a little hot for most cqb sites. However, the range is good enough stock to play field.
SIDE NOTE:
I bought mine from airsplat but it is the same gun anyway.
PROS/CONS
Pros
Kick is fantastic
Lightweight (could be a con)
Realistic mag capacity (could be a con)
Stock range is good
Loud! (Could be a con)
Takes standard TM style pistol buckings and barrels
2 round burst!
CONS
Gas efficiency is meh (can be fixed a little by installing the winter spring)
Auto can cool down the mags a bit
Expensive mags for only 25 rounds
Not many upgrades (in the US at least)
Everyone wants to use it (could be a pro)
Overall, I say go for it! At evike you get a better deal than airsplat and you get a great gun for $300. Great gbb smg. The cons are relatively minor and don't let them draw you away from it!

"Overall, the UMP 9/45 by Umarex is a solid piece. I field it regularly and enjoy the experience. Plinking is equally as fun and I find it to be most accurate with .28g bbs. However, this replica isn't perfect by any means.
The things I like:
- The kick is alright. It's there, but not enough to screw up your aim.
- The UMP 9/45 looks and feels great. There is no creaking or rattling, it's very light, and the stock is sturdy with absolutely no wobble whatsoever.
- There's quite a bit or rail space for a little SMG. All rails come with the UMP in a separate bag.
- Gas efficiency is quite good; can consistently clear 1 - 1.5 mags per fill in the winter, and 3 - 4 sometimes 5 in the summer.
- Field stripping is super easy and requires no tools.
- The part of the bolt that slams into the bolt hold-open is a replaceable hex screw.
- The .45 ACP stick magazine included is compatible with the 9x19 model, and vice versa. You can mix and match based on preference.
- M4 style bolt release OR HK slap. Best of both worlds.
- Bolt reliably locks after the last shot.
- Happy-sad, the nozzle is quite tough. It won't hesitate to crush a .20g bb if it jams in it's path, but the nozzle is supposed to be a sacrificial part and prevent other damage by breaking.....
The things I don't like / issues I've had:
- Very limited muzzle attachment compatibility. No threads, instead a quick-release system based on the real thing.
- As with most gas guns, low magazine capacity.
- No way to check how many bbs are in a magazine other than spring tension.
- With the recoil comes strong vibrations. As a result, internal components start to come apart. The screw-on part that keeps the recoil and buffer springs on the shaft unexpectedly came apart mid-game. Easy fix but an inconvenience.
- All of the pins in the firing group work their way out by themselves. It is necessary to inspect them every 1-2 magazines or failure will result. The trigger group is NOT fun to work on at all on this replica, so stay on top of this one.
- Occasional (1-500+ rounds) feeding issue/double feed that results in a bb floating around the chamber area waiting to be crushed and gum everything up. Fairly rare, but common enough to mention.
- The rubber gasket on the magazines by the feed lips wear out and begin to tear rather quickly.

"It's a good gun just the magazine is really lacking
Pros:
Great recoil
Hk slap
Foldable stock
Made out of Polymer but still pretty heavy
Works great in cold weather (was able to shoot full auto till all the gas in the magazine is gone)
Cons
The magazine is horrible
The magazine spring will only let you hold a couple of rounds for a couple of days and even then you basically either have to modify the magazine or get a old fashion speed loader
The amount of rounds (you only get 30 rounds even though the amount of gas the magazine can hold easily 60 rounds and more)

"Honestly the gun performed amazing, the only problem is the mags. The mags are the biggest pain in the butt ever. The springs are so heavy that ive broken multiple speedloaders trying to load them.

"I owned this gun for about a year, and it lasted me throughout the whole year. Its sturdily built, feels nice in the hands, has correct markings, and is dead accurate. I love how light the gun is too. I had mine with a 1-point sling and red-dot sight and it really rocked the house (or field). Here are some pros cons
Pros:
Lightweight
Durable
Mags fed perfectly
Very customizable
1:1 accurate
Cons:
Sights are a bit weak and cheap
Sling mount took ALOT of wear when I used it with a 1-point
The battery that comes with the gun is actual garbage, and you should invest getting a different one once you receive the gun.
All-in-all, I highly reccomend this gun to any airsoft player as its fun and simple to use and turns alot of heads.

"ah, it's okay..
not a very hard shooter and the recoil is kinda weak too.
pros:
ummm..it looks cool.
really light (not a pro to me)
comfy
HK trademarks
cons:
it's light, to light!
accuracy not that good.
hard to load.
nylon charging handle feels weak.
price.
in my opinion, the Vector is way better and would be a better choice
for a gbb sub.

"Pros -
Fun to shoot, recoil is nice
Gas efficient enough to run through a whole mag
Cons -
Sear broke soon after initially getting it, causing it to only cock if I put in full auto, and would not stay firing in semi.
Lower receiver cracked near the hammer soon after the sear was fixed, causing it to dump all the gas in a mag instead of going back when the bolt went back.
At some point it stopped feeding consistently, sometime after fixing the sear, but before completely dying.
Was fun to shoot, while it lasted that is
