Product Description

  • 2x green gas magazines included
  • Full metal internal parts
  • Adjustable rear sight
The G&G GM1903 A3 is based on the famous Springfield 1903 service rifle used by American infantry during WW1 and even into the early stages of the Vietnam War. The 1903 rifle was well known for its legendary reliability and accuracy; even to this day it remains a popular civilian firearm as both a historical piece as well as a long range precision firearm.

The G&G GM1903 A3 replicates the same standard of reliability, build quality, and accuracy. The gun is solid wood with aluminum and steel internals with a beautiful stained finish. Powered by green gas or Co2 magazines, the rifle is very consistent and accurate clocking in at over 430 fps.

"I got my G&G Top Tech GM1903 A3 Airsoft Green Gas / CO2 Gas Rifle with Real today Green Gas. I tried to shoot it outside today, but it was too cold and damp. The rifle was puffing gas out the front and some BB's .25 just kind of floated out the barrel. Let the mags and rifle warm up and went inside to shoot about 18 feet. Got groupings at around 3" And FPS at around 400. Now my thoughts.
Material on the rifle is great strong nothing here was loose for me. THe bolt is a little tight, but I like that because it makes the sound of a real bolt action sound. There was no lube at all, so you have to do that first. The sites are Ok the rear site hole is really small and a little hard to see have to get used to it.
The mags you have to assemble I thought they were damaged at first but then I saw the alien key at the bottom of the plate glad I had that key cause they don't give it to you at least not in mine. When you tighten the plate be sure to have the BB holder in so it lines up.
Two times the mag feel out on its own as I pulled the bolt back and a few times i just dropped out. So, what I do is after I push in the mag before I bring the bolt home I push down on the mag to be sure it is locked in.
A cple times the bolt locked on me because a BB came out and blocked the bolt from seating no big deal. I just hope that where the bolt lock is it does not wear out to the point that the mag is unable to alien with the bolt to chamber a round, but this is something only time will tell because it does take off some metal when you lock the bolt down.
Someone here said a springer is less maintenance than a gas bolt action, I have also the S&T springer m1903 A3 and had more problems with that out of the box then this one. I had to do a lot of work on it to get it so I could use it and the mags are a big problem. And take down of a springer is allot harder than a gas action one, and the pulling back on the bolt and bringing it home is a lot harder I love the gas bolts I have 4 of them. But that is only someone's opinion or preference I guess I do have springers I love also.
Bottom line it is a well-made rifle and I love it. It will not take a real bayonet I tried as it does fit the problem is the front site is too far forward for the bayonet to lock in place and this is the same with the S&T.
And I did not get BBs with it hahahah not that it matters to me just a note but more important is that alien key for the front site and the mag plate that should have come with the rifle for the cost of it, and no instructions on anything about how the mag goes together and for a $400.00 plus rifle there should have been.
And you will not be able to mount a scope on this one unless you drill the holes but again this is an A3 not an A4 so the original one does not have scope options either,

"Got this sucker a little over a month ago, long enough for the cold to settle down and the gas to work; and I have to say it has got to be one of the greatest airsoft purchases I've ever made. The magazine itself does have a capacity of 9 rounds, giving it a real authentic feel in the field, but you better be a good shot up against an AEG. I bought it to complete my world war two Guadalcanal marine loadout and it fits every aspect I could have hoped for. The wood has a fine finish over it, and the bolt has a very smooth feel when you rack it. Aside the fact that the trigger and the and the bolt colliding steel, it might rub it down after a while of use, so I'm hoping they come out with replacement parts at some point in case of the metal wearing away. Overall the purchase is a must, and I'm more than satisfied too having pleasure of owning this beast.

"Pretty good overall. Looks and feels great but needs a tiny bit of work out of the box. I got the green gas mags version which also functions with duster gas.

Pros.
The metal and wood are pretty high quality and finish
Looks really nice
Two mags and some .30g BBs
Feels great. Pretty hefty, but also handy to carry and aim
Green gas nozzle extension included with the gas version

Cons.
Really stiff trigger pull, possibly bad for precise shooting
Expensive, even with the extra included mag
Mag release reduces the authenticity of the appearance, I wish it was better concealed
Mag might not drop freely due to the slight L shape
The bolt can easily catch or stick midstroke if it isnt pulled straight back and forward. To get it nice and smooth, I recommend a light coat of silicone lube, cycle it about 100 times to break it in, and practice a bit.
The plastic orange tip is pinned to the muzzle
The receiver wears where the bolt lug rotates. Just a cosmetic issue after 100ish cycles, not sure how bad it will get over time.

Mixed.
Several screws were barely loose. I tightened them all just finger tight
The metal receiver was initially loose within the wood stock. With minimal effort, I added a small paper spacer piece inside to snug it up.
The rear peep sight is very adjustable, but the aperture is pretty small. It could be hard to use in low light conditions.
The shot with gas sounds like a poof. Not impressive but better for stealth I guess.

TLDR. Its expensive, perhaps somewhat overpriced. Get it only if you really want it like I did. Needs a tiny bit of work out of the box. The aesthetics and quality are still really good and I am happy to have it!
