G&P M870 P.T.E. High Power Airsoft Shotgun

"Mine was delivered with a chunky plastic orange tip (not pictured) which was pinned on. It is removable but may take a little work.

My intent was to have a reliable sturdy back up gun that did not need gas or battery to operate.
It far exceeded what I was looking for.

This gun fires a single bb as apposed to multiple bbs at once which is what I wanted. I looked at several bolt actions before deciding to buy this. I'm very happy with my choice.

This gun is hefty. Its built completely solid and sturdy.
The picatinny pump grip is the only wobbly part. But I'm ok with it sense it's a pump action.

Came with one 23 round double stacked mag(plastic) and rubber golf ball textured rail covers which are very nice.

I purchased the g&p m870 shotgun sling which came with 7 extra mags.

Gun performs flawlessly.
The hop up is adjustable and is located by removing the outer barrel which is easy, then is adjusted by using a small Allen key. Take your time doing this and getting it right where you want it with whatever bbs you choose. This process took about 15 minutes and hops .30s easily.

I will not be using this as a shotgun, it is definitely going to be my scout rifle. Like I said before this was chosen over several bolt action rifles I looked at.

Bbs fly straight and far right out of the box once you have the hop up grub screw dialed in perfectly.

I equipped mine with a PTS short polymer grip, a bushnell tac light mounted on left side of pump rail, and an firefield 1-6x magnified LPVO. I wish I could show a picture because it's gnarly.

If you plan on using this strictly as a shotgun to "spray pray" might not be the gun for you and I suggest looking at 3 round burst shot guns. Evike has plenty to choose from.

Final thought; after shooting it quite a bit, and playing a game with it, it was so enjoyable using it as a little scout pump rifle. It turns a lot of heads and definitely confuses people but it works so good for that role. If you don't firmly pump the gun it will not feed so do it confidently. It is built so well. G&P did not disappoint, yes its expensive for a spring powered gun, but it's sturdy as hell, and the finish on the gun is not easily scratched off.

Highly recommend if anyone is planning to use this as I do. A pump action scout gun.

"I purchased this shotgun on September 3, 2022 and was very excited to play with it. I received it in a brown box and when I opened it , thought this thing looks cool. That faded when I took it out of the box and it was wobbling in my hands a little.. I noticed that a few bolts were loose. I tightened them up, and figured everything would be fine. I finally went in my yard and test fired it. The pump action is kind of weird but i knew i had to get used to it. So never gave it a second thought. After about 10 shots, I was okay with it and was planning to use it on the field in about 2 months. Well about a month or so later a few friends wanted to scope there guns at my house. I brought this toy out and after 6 shots it broke. The slide would not go all the way back. I was past the warranty period and had to now fix my gun. After I took it apart I found the bottom part of the nozzle broke off on the corner where the slide hits it.. Its made of plastic which is a bad design problem. There should of been a metal plate there instead for long term use.
I ended up buying this part. A&K Nozzle and Piston Set for A&K M870 Spring Powered Shotguns ID: 78904 (Part-ANK-PT-011)
I was not to impressed with this Piston set because it has a compression problem. I got it to work when i used the G&P Piston with the A&K Nozzle. The nozzle metal plate should of been on the G&P version. I did have to trim down the metal plate to make it work. I took a few tries and it finally got it right. The compression is very good and the gun is now fun to use. I played with it yesterday and it preformed nicely. I am finally happy with it but time will tell for how long. I do take care of all my guns so I hope it last for a very long time.
