"These things are beasts. I play on a small outdoor field with a fps limit of 400. This thing has taken at least 2 dozen hits with no marking over the years. It's like double the cost of lower end options but unless you get a lemon, I don't see this thing ever breaking and for me it seems like I'll have this one forever

"Much more durable than other shields
Has withstood 4 direct hits so far, every other shield I used broke after just one. Only complaint is that the mount doesn’t split for taking it on/off. So you have to go the very end of your rail and slide it all the way down

"These are built to last. If you value your optic, spend a few dollars on this superb product. Go job Speed! docB

"Must have to protect your optics! Much better than the cheap flip up versions.

"A must need for anyone with obtics. Have it it for over 2 years been hit a few times and it's still standing. Would rather this break than anything else

"My first impression of this was that it is a solid piece of plastic. The rail attachment part is metal and the shield is a very thick, crystal clear hard plastic. To put it on the rail, you need to screw a tiny hex screw in. The sad thing is, my kit did not have one (but of course I have my own). After puting it on one gun, I moved my red dot to a different gun, but as I screwed in the hex screw again, it came loose from the piece that actually holds it on the rail! Now i cant remove the little black rail mount from my upper reciever. All it did was rattle. Thank goodness you can take off the plastic part and put it on a different mount. Now pros and cons

Pros
- Very sturdy
- High quality materials
- Protected sight from different angles
- Simple
- Feels and looks good
- Can change the plastic protectors

Cons
- Expensive for what it is
- Broke quite quickly
- Didn't come with key to attach

Overall, I loved this while it worked, but be careful not to over tighten the screw. Just a little pricey, but it will be less expensive than replacing sights.

"So I purchased this shield for my red dot because I've heard that they can be shot out easily. It is a very well made product, and bbs wont get through it anytime soon. The one problem I noticed is that when mounted in front of a panoramic red dot bbs can get in on the side, but barely. I fixed this problem simply by putting the shield on backwards and so the mount didn't get in the way. All in all a great product that everyone should own with an optic.

"Great! Works like a charm . I mount it on all my guns to protect the optics, and it has never let me down. It's nice and thick, and mounts on very well. (You you will need a 1.5 Allen key to mount it). This one is a good height I've used it on my Red Dot that is 3.1 inches tall.

Yes it is a bit pricey, but it is worth it, .

"This BB shield is better than most I have used. The plastic on it is very thick compared to others I have seen. I feel like it is a bit expensive, but you are paying for the extra thickness of the plastic sheet, and it can take more punishment than I expected.

Like most scope covers you can buy, the cover is plastic. Mine has not broken yet, but I usually use this for outdoor games and long distance engagements. It is starting to get scratched up from all the dust and trees I encounter from playing outdoors, so I will probably have to replace it soon.

My only real compliant is the mounting system. This isn't like other scope covers that you simply clip on and tighten. You have to slide it all the way down the rail of the gun, and tighten it down with a vertical hex screw. I despise this method for two reasons: 1. If I have to take it off, I have to remove my scope so I can actually reach the screw. 2. The screw has a tendency to come loose. While this cover won't fall off the gun, it will wobble a lot and make noise. Then I have to take the scope off just to tighten it. I am tempted to buy some locktight just to keep it from coming loose.

"For anyone who have had any optics shot out you know how much you would pay for it not to be shot out and it is definitely worth 32USD.
It is super thick and even if it gets shot by a very high fps airsoft at close range i am confident it would stop the bb and if not the guy who shot it out should probably be banned from every airsoft field ever.
It can be attached using either a 1.5 Allen key or a T10 bit just remember the screw is very close to the glass and you might need either a very thin screwdriver of a long bit.
The only negative thing i could come up with is that the mounting point is plastic and not metal so i don't think it would hold up if you accidentally bump it into a tree or something.
