Phantom Gear MOLLE Hard Shell Quick Draw Pistol Magazine Pouch (Color: Tan)

"I recently bought three of these to hold my 1911 pistol mags and I was very pleased. This was by far the best purchase I have made for my setup. These magazine holders offer two ways to carry the magazine, either open top or with a Velcro strap over top. I run the open top with three pistol mags on the daily, and even with running, jumping, sliding, and crouching, I have never lost a mag. These are very secure and make for quick and fast reloads. 10/10 would recommend over any expensive TACO pouch. These are so much better!

"i've bought two of these before, the hard shell allows you to fit it upside down on your vest, plus the covers opens really easy when need it. a 9mm double stack mag fits perfect and leaves enough surface to take the mag fast out of the pouch.
Big plus.... a forth of the price of a TACO one.

"great pouch, high quality. for single stack mags this this is perfect. if your using a g series double stack hicappa mag then what you will need to modify a bit(flap still wont close all the way even after modification). you will have to take the plastic insert out of the pouch and on one side of the plastic it overlaps, your going to have to separate this overlap(its just glued together) then completely remove one of the flaps. this will make it so the plastic cannot be glued back at all but once it is inserted back into the mag and the velcro is back in place you mag will fit snugly and will allow you a quick draw.

i would suggest this to anyone with a single stack mag and still recommend it for people with larger mags as long as they done mind doing about 3/4 mins worth of modification. overall i would give this a 9.8/10

quality, good draw(perfect for single stack mags), great retention(inserts and flap), and doesn't eat up a bunch of your molle real estate
Cons
need slight modification to fit larger mags, flap wont reach for longer/fatter mags

"This is a nice magazine pouch. however it barely holds my APS 23rd CO2 Magazine. The strap that goes over the magazine doesnt completely fit over the magazine, i feel like this could cause the magazine to fall out if you start running or crawl anywhere. The hard shell of the pouch is very durable.

"Great hard shelled mag pouch. Works best with single stack 1911 mags. Anything thicker can't be secured with the velcro strap though there is enough tension/friction to hold the larger (hi cappa, M9, Glock) mags in place with minimal fear of it falling out.
