"I had the same problem with my King Arms Galil SAR externals falling apart as the other reviewer had with his ICS. If the design is similar, you need to tighten down onto the outer barrel the two allen screws underneath the close end of the gas tube. All of those externals are held by tension like puzzle pieces. The two screws are the key.

"That's probably because it needs to be tightened, ever thought of that? Great gun in my opinion, excellent internals and externals, good fps, although I wouldn't recommend it for indoor maps like tac city

"This is a fantastic gun. The externals on this gun are amazing! Stamped steel! it even has trade marks in Hebrew! you would not know this is an airsoft gun by looking at it or holding it. It also has ZERO wobble, except for the magazine. The folding stock is sturdy as well. The hand guard is made out of real wood, it is very comfortable to hold. The gun comes with flip up night sights as well, and they work pretty well, but I would still recommend getting a railed upper receiver for optics. this bipod when it is down moves like the real one, but the spring to push it out isn't long enough, so it often pops out when the legs spread too far, but I barely use it. Charging handle has no real function except holding on the upper reciever, but sounds pretty cool. It can fit a very big stick type too, I got the biggest one I could and still had an inch to spare. It has a decent ambidextrous selector switch as well, but they were a little un even on mine, but still function without any problems. The gun also has amazing internals as well. It comes with a 400 round mag that is metal, it wobbles a little, which can be tedious for some people, but it doesn't bother me. Other ak mags work, so feel free to buy those because the metal ics mags are 30$ a piece!! That's a GBB mag! but they are very high quality. The hop up was very easy to get to pin point, I can easily hit a target 150-200 feet. Mine came in a bit hot at 427 fps with .20, but .25 dropped it down to 403 fps. It also has a very good rof. I don't remember exactly but I think it was around 23. Over all this gun works for support or riflemen class.

Pros:
stamped steel
no wobble(without mag in)
night sights
high quality mags
works with other ak mags
Easy to get to battery space
very accurate
good hop up
High rof
high fps(maybe con)
threaded barrel
comes with a long ass cleaning rod
battery space is over 9000
easy to disassemble gun
sturdy carrying handle
stock is comfortable
easy to fold stock
ver strong internals

Cons:
heavy
wobbly bipods
Bipod spring too small
Mag wobble
expensive mags
after putting in battery, it can be difficult to put upper receiver back on.
have to buy a new upper receiver if you want optics

4 WORDS: GET THIS FREAKIN GUN
by matthew david s. on 11/27/2014
"Pros: its one of the best guns i have, ics for me is one of the best price/Quality. I don't have to do any upgrades on any parts of the gun, fits differents ak mags, jus got to try, y use cyma ak47 metal, it goes in hard but after a couple of times it fits better. Ambidextrous mag and fire seletor, so many pros to say
Cons: no original galil mid cap, and no battery included (not really a con)
After all its a very good replica very detailed, and i recommend it to all

"The galil is one Big,Badass and cool gun!
The Box i got contained the gun itself, a spare gastube(for wide sticktype batteries) and a CD,so you're getting the most basic stuff here.

The Galil is the swiss army knife of the airsoft world, it has a bottle opener and a wire cutter so you can enjoy a cold drink on the battlefield while cutting wires all day :P

the overall quality of the gun is great and it gives you a lot of options.
this gun can be converted into a MRS and GRM easily, but what i tend to do is combine the railed gastube with the lower part of the MRS ris system so i get the galil ace look.

the stock gun has great externals as i stated above, but the internals are also good, but the'res always room for improvements and aftermarket upgrades.

if you want a special weapon that isnt a traditional AK, then buy this gun!

Tip: get an AK C-mag (if it fits) and put it on the galil!

sorry if theres a lot of typos

"This ICS airsof rifle is a masterpiece! the externals are really nice and it feels like a real firearm.
the ICS rifles can easily be upgraded with other Galil parts from other galil rifles made by ICS.
evike even offers Galil parts that allows you to create an MRS,GR or GRM galil rifle.

want a classic rifle with good externals and great stock internals, then buy this rifle.

why buy an AK or m4 when you can buy this?
by Taylor R. on 01/26/2013
"Yes, it is worth it. Such a quality gun. Only takes Galil mags which is fine. Wooden handguard, the rest is metal, besides the motor grip. Good ROF with a 9.6, as well as great FPS, range and accuracy. I don't use the bipod much, it was just an added bonus, but if you enjoying laying down and waiting...it is a good bipod. My only complaints are that the pin that holds the bipod in place loosens up and comes out of place, and the spring on my bipod comes out as well. Besides that and a little handguard wobble it's wonderful.

"This gun is the ideal heavy assault or light support role! It is another master piece from ICS, along withe their amazing L86A2 they make some of the greatest trademarked AEGs on the market! Although this is a rather steep price for an AEG, it's $100 cheaper than airsoftgi! This is a great gun that can be used as assault and support and is great out of the box with two mags!

"This gun takes its own type of mag, search for Galil Mag and use the ICS Version Sorry For not being a Review but this might come in handy. And it ONLY takes The ICS Galil Mag.

"What type of magazine does this gun use????

Does it use the ak type or the m4 type.

"I wasnt going to write a review for this gun but I noticed a lot of the reviews are old so I figured I would give a more up to date one for you guys who are interested in buying this Galil. So I ordered this gun July 1st, and got it July 5th. I opened the box and I got the gun itself, your typical unjamming rod, a front sight adjustment tool, a little baggie of spare fuses, one high cap 400 round magazine, a bag of ICS BB's, and an extra gas tube that fits any larger type stick battery. The gun was packaged real well so nothing got damaged on its journey from California to Michigan. Well, I picked the gun up out of the box and the very first thing I noticed was how canted to the left the front sight was. Upon messing with it, I found that the front sight and gas block were completely loose and I could move it side to side. I looked up what would be the best way to go about fixing or at least minimizing that wobbly mess and didnt find a thing. So I ended up just using some super glue and super glueing the gas tube to the front sight/gas block. So far it seems to be holding but it has only been a day since doing that and I havent fielded the weapon yet. So after further analysis of this gun, I didnt find anything else to be wrong with it externally. I bought a 10.8v 1600mah high output battery for it, charged it up and test fired it with no BBs in it. The fire rate is incredible, and the trigger is very responsive. So I filled the magazine up with BB's and went to test fire it and see how it functioned. Well, it went through about a dozen BB's on full auto before it started to spat BBs out of the barrel about 10 feet instead of launching them out like its supposed to just like it was doing 5 seconds previous. It sounded like the air seal somewhere was bad, which I read up on this gun before buying and saw that a few people did report the ICS Galil having a bad air seal. So I went ahead and ordered a new piston, piston head, cylinder head, a metal spring guide, a new air nozzle, a polycarb hopup, a new bucking, and a 450mm 6.01mm barrel. I planned to upgrade it in the future anyways, so I guess this is a good excuse to just upgrade it now.

Pros
-The folding stock and how rock solid it is.
-the metal and build quality of the externals.
-the wood hand grip
-they mustve made the bipod spring longer or anchored it in place so it doesnt fall out anymore when you deploy the bipod.
-the sights. I love those flip up night sights.
-really easy to take down and disassemble.
-the ability to be a support or assault type weapon.
-quick detach bipod with the bottle opener/wire cutter.
-the ambidextrous fire selector.
-the piece of metal behind the mag release so you dont accidentally release your mag.
-its on the heavier side
-the wiring is very high quality.

Cons
-the wobbly front sight/gas block
-bad air seal (maybe its just mine, who knows)
-its kinda heavy and pretty long. (Not a con for me, but letting yall know)
-the magazines are real pricey.
-the inner barrel is kind of a pain to remove.

Overall, I would buy this gun again. I would not recommend it to someone who is very new to this stuff. I do like this gun very much. It isnt just another AK, or another M4 so its definitely got some uniqueness to it that makes me like it even more, and thats what drew me towards this gun in the first place. But with that being said, I will give it 4 stars.

"So this is a bit of a follow up review from my first review. Also I wanted to add a few things about the gun so theres a bit more information for you guys interested in this gun.

The Barrel is not 440mm. Its way longer than that. I bought a 450mm barrel and it was REALLY short. You cant throw any AK type hop up into it, it takes a specially modified version 3 hop up to fit in the gun. And the air nozzle it takes is a short type air nozzle.

When I opened the gearbox the very first thing I noticed was how over greased everything was. There was a shim completely folded in half and loosely floating around in the gearbox. After just a few trigger pulls to test fire the gun, the piston teeth were severely stripped and the air seal of the cylinder head and piston head were horrendous. The only thing great about the gearbox was the gears. The 10.8v battery I put in it gives it such a ridiculous fire rate that the gun wont feed BB's on full auto, but feeds them no problem on semi auto, so I wouldnt recommend anything over a 9.6v battery for this thing.

After changing out the piston head, cylinder head, piston, and air nozzle the gun performs awesome. This is not a straight out of the box gun, and does take some work to get it working the way it should. And with all that I have said, I think I can only give it 3 stars now.
