Guarder Reinforced Metal Version 2 Gearbox for Airsoft AEGs

"this gearbox is very strong and nicely built. it comes in all black with all of the screws. my only complaint is that it is hard to screw the gearbox together. it is almost as the screws are too big. this isn't a major drawback but it gets annoying. just be careful not to wear out the screw.

"Decent gearbox some dremmeling might be required. For context I’m a mid tier to amateur tech working on an old gen 1 lancer mk18. I’ve only had this for a month and as of the time of writing this, this gearbox is the only one of two on market without a quick change spring guide. The gearbox has self tapping screws which I’m not a personal fan of and in my own incompetence I broke one :(. The gearbox mold is also designed so that the back part isn’t empty and its filled in wrapping around the spur gear. After several tests I started to see slight wear marks on the paint on this back part of the molding and the part that holds the anti reversal lever. It was no big deal and I ended up just dremmeling the gearbox a bit so that my spur would clear it. Overall I’ve had no catastrophic issues and all the minor issues I’ve had were an easy fix. The good out ways the bad just make sure you have a dremmel so you can make fixes along the way. Hope this helps.

"I recieved this gearbox a couple days ago, and i must say, i was impressed. Perfect fit for my G3 and all its components (JG T3-K3). The only thing i wasn't too happy with was the phillips head screws it came with. These screws are very VERY cheap mainly because 1: you have to apply major force to screw them into the GB the 1st time because the GB screw ports have not been used (i stripped one doing this) and 2: the phillips head is not a good choice for a GB screw mainly due to the fact that they are very easy to strip the head so that the phillips screwdriver can no longer take hold of the screw. I simply switched my stock GB screws (which are Torx) and they worked fine. Other than the screws, this gearbox is very well built, a nice black finish, low cost and no pot metal to be found =D. Guarder has put yet another good product out for the airsoft market.
