WELL PRO Modernized AK-12 Airsoft AEG Rifle w/ MOSFET

"This Kalashnikov is awesome. Visually it is super unique, as it is new to the US market (as of time of writing). The AEG is not quite a perfect replica, it has an entirely polymer body and dust cover, which is metal on the real gun. While a seemingly small gripe, consider that this rifle is only slightly cheaper than Cyma's real wood and metal AK-74N (AK12~$230 vs AK74~$270 after tax). This AK should have a metal receiver and dust cover for the price.
The rifle is extremely light, and it is super comfortable to hold. The new switches for safety and mag release are awesome, and the stock is genuinely really cool. If your goal is to just have an AK-12M1, this is a good choice.
I haven't used the rifle in a game yet, and only fired one mag, so I cannot speak to its consistency (will try to edit this when I've had some run time with it). From what I did see, it shoots straight, strong, and fast. The midcap magazines carry a ludicrous amount of ammo, it's actually comical how many rounds can fit. In addition, it can take the Cyme AK74 highcap mags (but the Cyma cannot take the AK12 mags). It comes with a speed loader (THANK YOU WELL PRO!!!)
I haven't had a chance to put attachments on all the pic rails, but the lower rail wouldn't take a slide-on foregrip. You will need either a looser grip or one that you can place directly onto the rail without sliding.
Also, the dust cover is shown as hinging. It doesn't hinge like a AKS74U, you have to detach it first and then loosely lift it up.

TLDR:
Functionally: pretty good, but I haven't played with it yet.
Visually: insane, super cool, comfortable and maneuverable when stock is manipulated!
Mags: AWESOME for capacity, but slightly thicker and shorter than most AK mags.
Construction: Definitely should be metal receiver and dust cover. The polymer feels like WellPro cheaped out.
Price: With the polymer parts instead of metal the price is sort of right on the line. $190-200 is an ideal range, instead of $209 $21 in tax.

My personal recommendation: If you're new to airsoft or just want an AK-12M1, this is a decent buy, just know your probably paying more than you should. If you're a milsimer or someone who wants the closest thing to a real AK-12M1 you are better off waiting until someone makes one with metal and a real hinging dust cover. It's going to take some time unfortunately, because the M1 variant is new even to the Russians, and it's taken a very long time for even this gun to reach the US. If you have the patience and want a legit metal one, I'd wait. If you just want an AK-12M1, snag this one.

I tried to be unbiased here, but I do really like gun, and don't regret the purchase. I've been waiting to buy one for some time, and so I'm happy!

"Price to value to is decent here. WellPro has definitely stepped up their game. This is a budget AK12, polymer body is sturdy enough for casual skirmishing but does flex and creak overtime. Not a serious players AEG imo. There PPK20 feels way more durable. But the when you pull the trigger, the overperformance for the price tag is immediately noticed. Snappy, accurate and shoots far enough to keep up with every other AEG on the field. ETU uses a Eshooter architecture (OEM essentially) but is basic and gets the job done.

With mines I decided to do a project build on it. Brushless 13:1 setup, the Brushless motor killer the ETU in like less than 5k BBs. Arcturus x Perun ETUs should fit this better than standard V3 ETUs as the ambi selector switch/plate and gearbox will conflict with ETUs like Gate, Solink, Eshooter and others. Yes we tried a Solink, Gate and Eshooter V3 ETU with very little compatibility success. It was a curiosity project.

But for $200~ the value is in the performance for a starter AEG. Yes this is a starter AEG. If you're a serious Milsim player or hardcore skirmisher then get a LCT or Arcturus because the low external build quality won't meet the durability requirements you need for such playstyles. But if this if your first AK12, your first AEG. It's a perfect introduction to good performance (not high or the best) to set the grounds for a better purchase when you get more serious in the sport.
