"Buy this only as an expensive shell; expect nothing more. If I had this new in box again; I would overhaul the gearbox and put a lot of work into the gearbox trigger.

That being said; it's a simple yet complex bullpup design around a V3 gearbox, but the "mosfet" is nothing more than a chip-fuse wired into the main positive side of the wiring harness. Back in the day this was impressive, but the year (as-of this review) is 2026; mosfets have come much further than that now.

Be ready to drown the entire body in warm, NOT BOILING, water to soften all of the glue. Not just the glue inside the internal threads, but for the muzzle device itself."

The muzzle device that prevents you from disassembling the gun. Glued on tighter than what is even remote to reasonable.

Obligatory warning to spend a LOT of time modifying your magazine well. Not just a few strips of tape; break out a rotary tool and get to trimming because there's junk in the way of most standard magazines from fully seating. (if you refuse to carve your gun; use magazines with short tabs at the bb feeding lips)

The best upgrade you can do for this is to add material to the gearbox trigger so the bar can depress the body trigger faster without the mushy take-up before your body trigger touches your gearbox trigger. Look inside the gun and you'll know what I'm talking about.

If APS updates this design; I want to see a longer handguard / front-end (maybe with a standard outer barrel), a modern gearbox, and a magazine well that actually takes multiple magazine brands.

"Looks like a decent gun but I’ve had tons of problems with this. When I first received it, the gun was jammed on the first shot. Kudos to Evike for fixing it on warranty.

I can’t seem to find a magazine to fit this and STAY in the gun. I’ve tried a variety of mag brands. The mag they sent with the gun doesn’t even stay in. Not useful if you’re running around playing airsoft.
