Matrix Assault Recon Plate Carrier (Color: Tan)

"Solid beginner plate carrier. Everything you need and nothing you don't. The cummerbund can be easily swapped with any number of velcro cummerbunds on the market, or shock cord ones, if you don't mind mounting it to the rear plate bag MOLLE. Shoulder straps are solid, drag handle is the same, documents pocket beneath the front placard. The shoulder straps are a tad wide for my taste (woman) but outfitting them with tubes or buckles for quick donning/doffing is relatively simple. Not the most breathable but not many PCs are. If you need a basic plate carrier to start with, accept no substitute.

•wire Velcro straps, perfect for walkie talkies and other wired devices
•color, blends in well

-CONS-
•smell, the rubber that is on the inside of it smelled weird
•top part (above adjustment strap) is a little weak
•not very breathable, prepare to get sweaty with this on

"Very comfortable and affordable. I appreciate all the molle attachment points. Can't recommend for larger bodies though. I'm 5ft 5in, 170lbs and have a bit of a belly and it almost doesn't fit. But since it fits me, is comfortable, and has molle for 50 bucks, it's 5 stars for me.

If you are looking for a very sufficient plate carrier to start on then these plate carriers by MATRIX are the real deal.

Solid build quality as well and a tight firm fits means you won't even be able to tell these are 40 bucks.
I've bought a couple of these in different colors to share with friends when lending gear and man do these things hold up well and look on par with ones of higher quality.
These will always be my go-to budget rigs and trust me, even if you have a more expensive one, get one of these for a Loudoun just to give them a shot.
I'm in love with the comfort of these and will always vouch for these.
