"Cyma is known for building high performance low cost AK's. And in this case they really stepped up their game.
The guns externals are the best from cyma but they are not the best. The pistol grip is much larger than real life but i dont care as they have to fit a motor in it so... The folding stock, trigger guard, mag release, lower & upper recievers along with the cleaning rod and gas tube were steel on mine.
The barrel, front sight post, trigger, and the "block" below the rear sight post are cheap pot metal. The wood wasnt too bad, its hardware wood but whatever its an AK. The finish on the wood was terribly ugly so i sanded mine down and re stained it a russian dark red-brown.
The internals of the gun are what really makes it. The gun comes with a 6.04mm barrel, a metal hop up chamber (cheap metal as my hop up adjustor came in 2 pieces, it still works but cmon cyma.)
The hop up bucking seems solid for a stock gun, there are better ones but they wont make that much a difference.
The motor is again decent, i dont own a soddering gun so i would not replace mine.
The gear box is metal and very durable. The gears, piston, and almost everything in the gear box is well built.
My upgrades to mine: restained grips which really makes this gun look great. A 6.01 mm madbull $45 barrel, 9.6v battery (recomended to anyone buying this, the gun is NOT lipo ready imo, maby a 7.4), The shim job was terrible so i reshimed it. I also have a supressor on mine.) I have some other various things i just cant remember...
With these upgrades i can shoot up to 90 yards!
50 yards you can hit a man almost every time
75 yards about 2/5 the time etc
Currently im looking to sell mine as i have had it for a year now and i want some money to buy an E&L AK, they are over $300 and it would look good with my kwa glock 19)
In conclusion I think the cm048 line is the best performing aeg for $150.
Pros:
Good rof on 9.6 v battery
Stock accuracy and range are as good as it gets for a stock gun
internals will last a long time and are high quality
externals are pretty nice for $150
very easy to take apart and easy to upgrade
Cons:
Lots of various pot metal used
stock wood grips are low quality and the finish/stain is terrible imo
hop up lever came broke
stock 8.4 v battery came defective, probably just wire problem, i dont care as i never planned on using it
paint finish is a matt black as apose to the gray-blue-black finish on the real ones
ALL these are minor complaints and they dont matter because your getting more than you pay for anyways.

"excellent gun for the money, I got the Echo1 version, although it is essentially a rebranded cyma it is definitely worth looking into. Had this gun for 3 years w no problems and then the problems I had were minor. After a new o ring and new spring after 3 years gun still shoots amazingly. having owned over a dozen guns this one definitely holds up

"Just bought this gun a few days ago. Got it in the mail and immediately, I'm floored.
The furniture isn't cheap pot metal. It's very nice and sturdy metal.
PROS:
Full metal
ROF is around 13-16
Orange tip is easily removed with a hairdryer
RIS is very nice and sturdy
CONS:
"Real Steel" unjamming rod under the barrel cam out easily. But it does that on the real gun so, no problem.
Mags are a PAIN to get in, ( G&G Midcaps ) and take a firm hand and a bit of strength to get in.
All in all, GREAT gun for anyone looking for a combat ready AK.

"This gun is overall an amazing gun. I got this gun about a month or 2 ago and it is the best gun i have ever had. I cannot find a single peice of plastic on this gun except for the pistol grip. the front grips are real wood and it is really easy to get the battery in and out of this gun. The fps of this gun is about 420 and it is a very hard hitter.
Pros:
Full metal
Real wood
420 FPS
Good RoF
Folding stock
Blowback
Comes with new metal tip instead of orange tip
Cons:
The mag that comes with it is ugly and does not feed well But that is an easy fix by buying a new mag.
Overall this is a very good gun for the price and i would strongly recommend buying it.

"weapon is great, just like the real AK74S issued by the Soviets during the Soviet Afghan War (1979-1989) people have been complaining about plastic mags, the real AK74s DID NOT HAVE METAL MAGAZINES, they were made of a composite plastic material called Bakelite. nice wood foregrip, over all a VERY STURDY GUN, magazine wiggles a little bit but hey so do the real ones. as an added bonous it comes with an actual Soviet issue AK74 sling. The collapsable stock is very sturdy

"What can I say? It's simply portable destruction.
-DEAD accurate, something I value in all guns.
-Insane ROF.
-Literally smokes all GBB guns. I shot at a steel plate together with my cousin, who has a GBB revolver. His gun couldn't even reach the steel plate.
-Comes with built-in scope mount. If you use it, I recommend getting a flip open red dot sight. It looks nice and helps you aim better.
-Very long range, you can snipe with it using the semi auto selection. Buy a PSO-1 and you own an automatic sniper rifle.
-Lastly, for all you people outside of the U.S. like me, you may want to paint the orange tip black. I used a permanent marker. It looks more natural than you may anticipate...
Overall, a big value for money. Good for beginner airsoft players. Have fun!

"let me start off by saying this gun is AWESOME!! Evike is a fantastic store and has great prices on all their items. Anyway this gun performs great, i currently use a Matrix Tenergy High Output 9.6V 2300mAh Ni-MH Custom Type Battery which is here for $32.00 and i barely fit that into the full stock. unfortunately you can't fit a large type into the stock. The real wood and full metal construction really is amazing. CYMA have outdone themselves with this gun. I havent had a chance to chrono this gun yet. this gun is a must-buy, and for $188 is a steal since the internals are good, externals are so high quality and the wood isnt the cheap kind either. GET THIS GUN!!!

"This gun is amazing. This AK is extremely accurate and powerful. I did have trouble at one point though because something happened with the battery. My cousin charged it on my smart charger's "1.8" setting instead of the ".9" setting i had it on. This gun is very heavy. It is so powerful it put a whole through some of my wall. doesnt come with rails and cant find ones that i am sure will fit this. currently duct taping laser and flashlight to it. LOL
Pros:
-Very Powerful
-Very accurate
-Easy to handle
-weight(could be good or bad
-All of my friends and cousins are scared this
Cons:
-Weight
-Only uses stick type battery
-Doesn't come with any rails and I can't find any on Evike or any other websites

"I have seen alot of AK's and shot alot of Airsoft guns, but this gun tops them all, I absolutely love it! The body is SOLID, no wobble(which is a huge thing for me), the fps is above 400 and shooting at about 170ft, very nice wood, metal hop up chamber! The only complaint i have about this gun is the magazine, it wobbles and is plastic, a metal mag would have made the good perfect, but the mag does not have anything to do with the guns performance. The ROF is low, but thats typical for a ver. 3 gearbox and 8.4 volt battery, if upgraded to a 9.6 volt its ROF improve, but not by much. If you are looking for a tank in the battle field that will never break down on you this is the gun!
pros:
-metal/wood(no wobble)
-charging handle is smooth
-hop-up is great
-FPS=HIGH
-Heavy/realistic
-good battery space in stock(would recommend a small 1500Mah)
con:
-Buy some new mags
-you have to un-screw the but plate to get to the battery, which makes it hard to change batteries in play

PROS
full metal and real wood

accurate
great for the price
some people say mag is wobbley but it is not (some mags do not fit at first but with slight moding it will fit great)
sick looking
folding stock
lots of battery space
high rof
high fps
CONS
magazine jams (rarely barely a con)
mag is plastic
battery is not that great

"Bought this gun a week ago and it works great. I put a new barrel in it, Matrix 407mmx6.03mm, and the disassembly is extremely easy. The only thing is that 407mm is too short a barrel, if you do buy this gun an extra barrel, get the 500-509mm one that fits it. On the RK 06 page it says the inner barrel is 407mm, which is why I bought the 407mm, but it really isn't. Overall the gun is very sturdy, zero wobble anywhere. The mag it comes with is crap, so buy some extra marui mags and file down the tab so they fit right. Shoots about 400fps with the new barrel, and the effective range is somewhere around 150 feet. I would recommend buying .25 bbs for maximum range and accuracy, but it works well with .23s. I had an issue where the motor came loose a little bit and wasn't gripping the gears right, but I was able to fix it pretty easy. ROF is pretty good, I would say 8-10rps. I'm planning on buying a type III #2 gearbox upgrade kit with a 509mmx6.01mm new barrel, high torque motor, 260% spring, new bucking, 9.6v battery, and new mags. It's going to be insane (probably around 500 fps, with .3s with an effective range of 200 feet and 16-19rps).
Pros:
Good out of box rof and fps (about 400fps)
Extremely well built
All metal except pistol grip, but the grip is solid as a board
Good stain on the front grip, not orange or yellow, very sturdy
Heavy, about 8-9lbs (Could be a con, but I love it)
Folding stock is extremely sturdy and heavy duty
Sling it comes with is very good (although the metal clip is a pain to get on and off, but extremely sturdy)
Easy to disassemble for upgrades/fixes
Supports pretty much any marui/matrix internal upgrade
Has a side rail mount for AK compatible mounts
Very realistic
It DOES have a negative 14mm thread, so it can support barrel extensions if you want a 509+mm barrel, but mine was glued on and a pain to get off (I was able to get the flash hider off and scrape the glue off)
Awesome price ($150 is amazing for this high quality)
Not pot metal, all steel (Except for the charging handle, but it's very well built)
Cons:
Crappy mag (It works, but it wobbles a lot)
Sights are a little off
Motor came loose after a couple days (easy fix)
Overall 5/5, very good
I would recommend this any day over CYMA or CA just because of the price and ease of use.

"Awesome AK! It is THE AK if you are looking for one to add to your collection or to compete professionally.
I have used VFC AK that cost about $200 more and it is not even as nice as this.
Comes with battery & charger but this rifle deserves a nice 9.6V (get the nunchuch 2300mah with an adapter, i have spent hours shopping around and that is the best battery to fit if you don't want to go lipoly)
Very accurate, flawless wood furniture, great grouping, range and accuracy. It is the nicest AK I have fired, don't be fooled by the price. CYMA makes great AK
