"This is a hard hitting air soft revolver. I have a problem with rodents, especially roof rats, as I live in a rural area with farms around me. Even though I have .30g aluminum BB's, I use the soft ones indoors for less chance of ricochets. I don't know what fps the .30g BB's have, but at about 12 feet, one shot to the head was all it took to get rid of one of them. My only con is that at times when reaching for it, the part of the handle that slides off for inserting the CO2 comes loose. It really needs a better way to secure it to the frame. Even though I gave it a 4 star rating, it's really 4.5 as I don't have any other complaints about it.

"I bought the lower FPS version of the 6inch barrel. It says 300 FPS but that's 100% cap. My 2 of them were shooting 450+ on .25g bbs. Other than not being able to play with them, they looked and felt great in the hand. The way you open the handle to access the C02 is very loose and you might lose grip if you have smaller hands.

"I got this years ago, but a few things of note and where it failed for me that i don't see mentioned:
_Trigger became finicky as did the angle of pulling back the hammer after years of use
_friend opened cylinder and the rod that held it in sheared off. (i will admit this likely to me as a kid flipping the cylinder back into place and spinning the cylinder while out for reloading.)
for what I paid and what everyone else is saying is very spot on, this is a great gun especially for the price. note 8 inch barrel one was a bit too heavy to run around with.
I would buy this again if I can use it at more fields, if you want one I recommend not going above 6 inch barrel length. and look up Jerry Michulek's video on how to use a revolver to possibly avoid past issues i've had

"Overall it’s quite a good gun, i’m just disappointed in how wobbly the grip was, it felt like it would come off everytime I took it out. Another thing i’m quite disappointed about is how wobbly and unstable the hammer was, it would often wiggle and when I primed it it would wiggle both left and right and up and down. Lastly I couldn’t find (if there even was) an adjustable hop ip system. No directions in the label and if it doesn’t have it it’s just reason why not to get it. The range is quite low but packs a punch. If it weren’t for these I would love this gun, I would still recommend it but make sure you really want it first.

"I goe this in a mystery box and it’s awesome, super loud. Deducted a star because the damn thing shoots at 525 FPS and is unusable at my Airsoft field until I get the power down shells, which are unavailable everywhere. Even then I’m. Or convinced the FPS will be low enough.

"I got the 6 inch silver really nice gun with a-lot of realism worth the price.
Pro:
Good weight
Good power
Back yard plinker
Comes WITH speed loader
6 brass shells are good quality

Cons:
The plastic grips (very uncomfortable)
Not practical/ too powerful for playing games

"I ordered the 4" stainless along with the ASG Moon clips and they are compatible. It feels pretty cheap compaired to real revolvers but it is also much less expensive. The function is pretty realistic. The cylinder can be rotated without cocking the hammer or pulling the trigger because it locks up differently than the real thing. Over all i would say its a good revolver for airsoft.

"The gun is amazing, shoots great and dead on, only flaw is that the handle isent very sturdy and is uncomfortable when you don't have gloves , freaking love this gun though 10/10 would recommend. Pick up lots of speed loaders because it runs out of ammo fast lol

"This gun is awesome! It shoots great and its louder than I thought it would be. But the grip where the co2 goes came off when I put the co2 in. It was easily put back but it is really annoying of how loose it is. Other from that it is a heavy durable gun. I would recommend this to people that are interested in buying this. AMAZING GUN!!!!!!!

"It worked pretty well for about a year. All the while It had trouble with double action. if i didn't pull the hammer back before shooting it would make the power much lower. After a while it wasn't able to even shoot the bbs half the time. So i would say 4 stars while it worked.

"Really good gun. My only complaint is that the grip where the Co2 is inserted, is loose. I tied a rubber-band around it to make it firm. It also seems to fire around 390-420 for me, which is perfect because my field caps at 420. All in all great gun for Vets and Beginners alike. Just make sure you purchase extra shells for it and make your shots count as you only have six. I also bought two speed loaders, which helped me dramatically.
4/5.
Would be 5/5 if the grip wasn't loose and made me, at first, feel like the grip would retract every time I pulled it out of the holster.

"Pretty simple. Feels almost exactly like the real thing, good weight, nice metal construction. The plastic grip doesn't feel bad at all. Would prefer a wood grip myself, or a hard rubber grip. Only one tiny snag, for me: When I got mine, the cylinder doesn't turn when starting from the properly aligned position. Can't cock the hammer, or pull back the trigger, and have to turn the cylinder itself just a bit to get it to turn. Maybe there's a fix for this that I'm not aware of, but I would still recommend anyway. If you're more talented than me, which you more than likely are, you can probably get a little trick going where you turn the cylinder yourself between shots.
Worth the buy.

"Pros-
1. Very realistic appearance.
2. High FPS.
3. Heavy (may be a con.)
4. Easier to reload than you would think. (And also possible to reload without removing the cylinder.)
5. Reasonably gas efficient.
6. Just a general fun to have gun, whether being used to back yard plinking, or full milsim battles.
7. Easy disassembly-reassembly.
8. Comes with three month warranty in case you get a lemon.
Cons-
1. Internals seem cheap, and haphazardly put together. (But may not be. I don't claim to be an expert.)
2. There is no stable performance. After your first shot, the fps will slowly die.
3. (Possibly mine only) Incompatible with many types of co2 charges.
4. (Possibly related to 3) Came with a very slightly, but still visibly bent co2 puncture head. (What breaks open the co2 charge seal.)
5. Wobbly hammer.
6. Comes with an incompatible speed loader. (Can't fit over cylinder.)
7. Grip can easily fall off, and plastic section underneath main grip is easily bent, and broken.
8. Trigger occasionally sticks. (Can be fixed by jiggling the hammer.)
9. Shells are easy to lose. (KEEP THEM SOME PLACE SAFE!)
Overall ruling-----
The Dan Wesson four inch revolver is a spectacularly fun and satisfying gun to use. It may not be the most practical, even out of it's own kind (see eight shooter revolvers), but it gets the job done. It does have it's flaws, some of which are rather glaring, (see 1, 3, and 8) but it is still a spectacular little gun. Probably the most important thing to not is that this gun is about $100. If I were paying more for this same product, I would have judged it much more harshly, but considering it's relatively low price tag, I feel my complaints are at the very most simply knit picking. (Except for 3. 3 is a pain.) While I wouldn't recommend this to absolutely every airsoft player I meet, I would definitely give it a shoutout to anybody who is tired of the standard pistol sidearm, and wants something new and unique on the battlefield.
