CYMA Standard CM048 AK Airsoft AEG Rifle (Model: AKS74N / Gun Only)

"Out of several years of airsoft, this is my absolute favorite gun I've ever had. Shoots great, feels great, pretty customizable. Would definitely recommend this gun to anyone looking for a reliable, _$200 AK.

Pros:
- very sturdy
- accurate
- lipo ready
- sturdy dovetail rail
- good stock lock
- pretty good wood handguard

Cons:
- cheap tri-stock (replaced mine with the IK74M folding stock)
- mag wobble (fixed the issue with a mag spacer)
- hanguard was a little too bright for my taste (replaced it with a plum handguard from RuArmed)

"I've owned this weapon for about 4 years now and it still functions very well. That has to say something about its durability. It still will get occasional use on the field as a loaner weapon. 5 stars because its managed to survive this long. A fun weapon as well.

"The magazine has the slightest little wiggle, and the battery well is a tad small, but of the 2500 rounds I fired (all in one session) upon opening this CYMA product, I've not had a single issue with the hopup, FPS, or accuracy.

solid construction, solid gearbox- I'd definitely recommend this as a first for an electric airsoft gun

out the box 398fps w hop up set.
super durable and nice compact size.
great air compression.

cons:
bucking was to oily.(bbs not accurate right out of box needs about 2 full mags to break in)

"This ak is unbelievable with what it offers to the user. This is my second gun and is better in every area except that my first gun is a thompson which people are always like OMG is that a thompson and i'm like "yeah, what about it? It's an airsoft gun" . I ordered this gun a YEAR AGO and it runs beautifully and is hitting right around 400 fps with .25g bb's. this gun has helped me achieve my greatest shots one of which was one shot at over 100 feet that hit a friend right in the head as he peeked from behind a tree

Pros
-Accuracy
-Real wood (could be a con for smaller people because of added weight)
- metal durability
-endless possibility for load outs (I have a modern contractor, LRRP [Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol /Vietnam] load out for the AK & Thompson), Russian armed forces, and a US woodland surplus load out
-shoots straight
-hits hard
-dumps bb's down range at a good pace
-could be used as a mil-sim gun as is
-mags fit in almost everything including m4 pouches, old US army surplus mag pouches, those cheap bandoleers that you see in Military movies
-mags fit snug
-good internals
-externals are a 4/5

Cons
-rear sling mount is very annoying especially if your trying to sneak around and it hits your metal D-rings on your stuff (mount can be removed)

-rear sling mount AGAIN does not look like it could hold the gun when attached to the a single point sling
-charging handle is cheap
-battery space
-go get to the battery compartment you have to take off two screws which those screws can lose their edges and then you have to tape the butt plate to the gun or get new screws
-wood will scratch if you look at it wrong (but gives it a cool weathered effect though)
-after a full day of play, can get annoying having to lug it around without a sling especially if you have a sneakier play style like I do


Final Words: buy it! you won't regret it.

"Must give CYMA gun justice. The importance of a "reliable gearbox" cannot be forgotten. All CYMA items have perfect quality control and if you want higher fps, its only a simple spring upgrade. I upgrade all my CYMA to 400 fps with lipo the day I buy them and they never fail me. The finish on all CYMA guns are great as well.

"I first would like to say that the build quality on the externals is superb. It's about the same weight as an actual Ak in that respect.

Pros:
body is solid, good wood and metal. Nothing plastic except for the orange tip. A shame a metal tip is not included.

Con: None

"I have played 8 games so far and this thing is a DMR! i was hitting people at over 100 yards with .25s like its nothing! body is very appealing and the wood looks amazing! im going to weather it, put a PSO-1 and have it tuned and a tight bore barrel with a suppressor for a barrel extension.

P.S --- A mosin nagant sling from amazon makes this gun look superb and fits the 70s era look perfectly.

the only problem with it is that the screws for the back are really short and hold on by ONE THREAD on my gun (if you include the metal back)!

Longer screws are easy to get though. :)

"This is a great gun, it's has solid build and great accuracy. The only flaw it has is the mag that comes with it looks cheap and doesn't feed well, but once you replace the mag it's a downright beast

"So the CYMA AK-74M....it's fantastic! I usually run a VFC MK18 and this gun out of the box performs very very well. I was out shooting HPA's and Krytac's with ease. The gun actually comes with real wood and stamped steel.
Pros
-Accuracy
-RANGE!!!!
-consistently shoots around the same FPS when chrono, which means air seal is pretty good
-Very sturdy, no wobble at all
-Beautiful externals

Cons
-ROF is pretty slow, can be fixed with LiPo though.
-The only con I can think of is the barrel was extremely dirty when I recieved it. This could have been packaging grease but I'm not sure. That's really the only bad thing I can say.

"I was extremely pleased with the weight and feel of the gun. The mag it came with is pretty sound. However, the extra one I had purchased has ALOT of wobble. But other then that. The gun performs very well out of the box, it�s very durable, good rang, decent ROF. Overall 9/10.
