"i absolutely love this gun, it handles great but the hop up is terrible, some gas pistols easily out ranged me :( but onece i bought a new hop up (30$) this gun works like a charm, its still shooting at 500fps with .2s im not sure why, its all stock.

pros:
great durability
full metal
looks menacing
tons of rail space
box mag included
great ROF
really high FPS (might just be mine)
m4 highcaps feed really well
gives me a workout when i carry this thing arround my feild XD
heavy(con for some)

cons:
terrible battery location
bad hop-up
AMMO HOG!
my top receiver wont open so i have to use an allen key to push my hop up, or take the whole barrel Assembly out

overall i give this gun a 4/5 because you will need to replace the hop up, wich will cost you an extra 30$ but dont hesitate to buy this gun it is amazing an i have no regrets on buying this gun :D

"Not too bad of a gun overall. im glad i bought it. i bought this one because it was on sale and i always liked LMGs. Heres what i think about it...

Pros
-Heavy realistic weight
-nice adjustable iron sights
-very high quality externals
-accuracy with .25s is very consistent
-quick detach barrel
-grip included

Cons
-Heavy after use all day, front has most of the weight( so for rightys, your left arm will feel sore after a long game)
-Hop up is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! really seems to limit the range potential on the gun (my main issue i have when using this gun in matches)
-Bad battery location, i recommend buying a cheap peq external battery box, it helps a lot
-No battery included like on A&K m249 series
-Putting the box mag in can be irritating

Overall:
a unique alternative to the plain m249. youll get lots of looks and compliments while you scare the other team when this thing gets going. if you buy this, get a 9.6v battery and a basic peq external battery box. overall shoots at a good ROF and is accurate, but i give this a 4/5 because the range on it is not the best (an mp5k out ranged me the first time i used it)

"Ok so to start it's a good gun, I've skirmished it and trust me when i say get a 9.6v battery it helps... A LOT!

Pros:
Metal construction
A lot of RIS
2500 round drum magazine
Comes with a front grip
Space for a big battery
Sights are very nice
Quick detach barrel
Very realistic

Cons:
Bipod is somewhat crappy, on mine it somewhat chipped so the bipod doesn't fully stay in the down position
Allen screws are in the metric system
No front sling mount
No battery
M4 mags jam
No carrying handle

Suggestions:
A battery box would be AMAZING! I happen to own one and it helps big time.
A scope (i suggest a 4x scope) helps

Overall:
A good gun which performed well for me, and will for you. It's FPS is about 380, the drum magazine will last you a couple of hours and is very nice. So overall it's a good gun, I will say thought it has room to improve, but is defiantly good. Thanks for your time and have a good day.

"I got this gun gun about a week ago and I am impressed, the range and fps is decent. Now the one thing I did not like was the battery location, its located under the rails in the front. I myself could not figure out how to get the bottom open but I did manage to get the connector up to the top. I tested it with a tenergy 9.6 1600 mah nunchuck battery, it did well and gave it a good ROF but would recommend a 7.4 or if you wanna go crazy and test its limits a 11.1 lipo. The box mag that comes with it isnt all that great but its useable, and standard m4 mags can be used though they dont feed all that well.

Pros:
Good ROF
Good FPS
Realistic weight
Good range
Intimidating look
Takes M4 mags

Cons:
Heavy (not for small players unless you just want it)
BAD battery location
2200 mah nunchuck battery that is recommended is hard to find.
Box mag can be a hassle and M4 mags do not feed to well

"This gun is great i got it a while ago and at first i had some issues but it's overall a great support weapon that i think every team or individual looking for a great support gun should get. this is the buy for you completely worth the price which isn't that much considering the only upgrades you might need to put in is a new tight bore inner barrel.
Pros:
-Great construction completely metal except for the parts on the real SAW which are high quality polmer plastic.
-Battery compartment is very spacious but thin so you won't have to much rattling
Easy too upgrade
-Very realistic except for magazine that holds more than 2500rounds
Cons:
-Magazine came in poor wiring condition(very easy fix)
-accuracy could be a bit better but hey your a gunner what do you need precision for(upgrades cheap here on Evike!)
-Front sight is hard to find anywhere and i lost mine in the first war...
Overall great gun i think A&K out did themselves this time.

"I have to say I'm very pleased with this gun so far. I will say that it is not something for new players but someone who has some experience with working with internals as there are a couple parts that could use some tweaking or even replacing. However, as far as gearboxes go, this is a breeze to work on! There is a known trigger problem with the m249 - I fixed it by lubing the inside of the microswitch and sanding down the contacts along with bending the trigger mechanism to its appropriate place.

I do want to clarify to any potential buyers though, despite what all the other reviews may imply, this gun does not come with an aluminum case, muzzle break, or even a 9.6v battery. Its irritating to me that the same product would have varying inclusion of accessories and yet have the same set of reviews. Evike doesn't say that such accessories are included but regardless, the reviews do make it seem like they are included. I was disappointed to receive a "too bad, so sad" reply when I asked Evike to monitor their reviews to dissuade such confusion.

So, what is included is the AEG with short orange tip (not what the picture shows), the box magazine, and an 8.4v battery (Matrix) with a really cheap wall charger. There is no extra midcap magazine either. So all in all, I am pleased with the gun but if you are looking for the best deal, there are other retailers that offer more bang for your buck.

"I have had this gun for over 2 years now and is still working very well all my friends hate playing against me because of this gun. The only con is that it came with another muzzle brake and i have no idea how to switch it
by Christine R. on 09/08/2009
"This is an awsome gun the only thing that sucks is that they gave me a half ass box mag that wont wind at all because the whole internal wires were messed up! otherwise a great gun.

Webmaster: If your mag was bad we can replace. All you need to do is contact us!

"Very good gun
ive had this aeg for a couple months but only used it a few time because i got it during the winter. its a great overall gun
Pros:
full metal
around 330 fps (.20 g)
m16 mag compatible
box mag
its a SAW!

Cons:
very heavy(im a pretty small guy but 17 lbs is still a lot)
330 fps (im upgrading mine)
not that accurate
box mag fall out all the time(i prefer m16/m4 mags)
a little pricy but overall worth it

"Iv had my SAW for 3 or 4 weeks now and have trained and skirmished with this like it was real. When I received it the stock was trash. I've lok-tited it since but it needs to be replaced. The bipod is a bad zinc alloy and will need to be replaced in the near future, and a rail system is desperately wanted when the box mag is inserted.
Pros
Awesome weight
great materials
become part of an elite group of airsofters

Cons
Bipod is weak and will not stay in position
Stock is trash
box mag needs fiddling
by marshall w. on 03/31/2009
"Day 4 with my new Para SAW. My favorite that iv ever used. For 3 years iv been dreaming of this weapon and the ability to lay masive firepower down range.
PROS
Awsome meterials
lighter then I thought (at 15lbs)
easy to use and maintain
HUGE mag (now i can fill my position)
rails on feed tray
CONS
The WORST stock Iv ever seen, Iv had better on walmart guns
the mag was not assembled correctly and must be reassembled
the bipod looks like it might fall of in game
by Erik H. on 02/23/2009
"Well lets see, ok it Rocks! I put 5,000 rounds through it at a small OP on Sat. not a single problem. Would recommend using a Intellect 9.6 instead of the factory battery. The intellect raised my ROF by almost 30% +\-
The font bi-pod is the weak point in the design, just don't plan on using the bi-pod too often.
4/5 stars Weak OEM battery, Weak bi-pod.
by Justin C. on 01/20/2009
"Nice SAW to be sure, but my only problem with it is that it has a bad tendency to foul up even using the standard box mag. still great outer construction compared to my friends CA SAW. and one more thing does anybody know if this gear box can handle a 9.6volt? I asked on the forum and no one seems to know... any help would be great
go Evike!! : )

Webmaster: Yes, the gun can handle a 9.6V
by Spencer E. on 01/20/2009
"So this A&K Para is a pretty good gun.

i used it at the place i go airsofting at and it did alot better than i expected it to.

its got a pretty nice ROF, nothing INSANELY fast, but its definately not a slow shooting gun!
FPS is about 315 more or less....

Pros:
Magazine is Good. i had one tiny little jam but it was seriously a no-brainer haha
gun fires really nicely
good ROF
reliable
finish is nice
Good finish on the gun
easy to disassemble and reassemble
metal, way sturdy and tough

Cons:
its a lil bit on the heavy side
the pull-out stock came a lil loose, but that got fixed...no biggie
the gun case that it came with is a lil wimpy but watever haha your buying the GUN not the case

So overall, its well worth the money
If i could do it all over again, i'd get this same gun.
4/5 cuz i think te case could have been a lil better.
the gun rocks haha
by Michael A. on 01/13/2009
