Angel Custom HIVE Airsoft Suppressor Barrel Extension (Model: 160mm / 14mm Neg. / Desert Earth)

"I bought the Hive mock suppressor to hide my longer inner barrel for my VFC Avalon Calibur Carbine. To my surprise (I guess I didn't fully comprehend the product description) it came with an integrated inner barrel, which indeed is removable. The build quality is excellent. The styling is sleek yet aggressive. My favorite design feature is the hexagonal pattern on the mock heat shield. Installation is quick and easy. Just remove your stock flash hider/ orange tip, screw the suppressor on, and tighten the provided set screw. If you're going to hide your extended inner barrel be sure to remove the inner barrel that is in the suppressor itself. I highly recommend the Angel Custom Hive Airsoft Suppressor Barrel Extension.

Adds 36 FPS on my g&g mp5 a5 - 0.2g

I have learnt though that you need to be careful in the UK with these, as if you have the slightest bit of joule creep, it'll dramatically shoot the fps up depending on what your hopup is set to.

Full hop on my ICS cxp ape short barrel = 40 FPS
Half hop = 70 FPS
(flat hopped).

"Love the design and nice quality... I just didn't research well about the barrel extension. I didn't anticipate the hive to be empty inside... What I mean is, that, I didn't expect that you need to replace your short inner barrel with a longer one. In my case, a 380-390mm inner barrel, to be able to reach the end hole of the hive... "First off, I don't own any Airsoft (yet). However, I do own a Crosman/DPMS DSBR. It looks pretty bad a$$ right out of the box but I wanted to beef it up a little so I started looking for a mock suppressor. I bought a couple of el-cheapo flea bay models. But them I found the Angel Custom HIVE. Now THIS is what I was looking for! I wanted the 130mm 14mm negative but it is on preorder status. I decided to pay the extra few bucks for the Power Up model just so I could have it.
When I first tried to install it on my DSBR I could only get it on for a few threads. So I decided to disassemble to figure out what the problem was. I was called away for a short while but when I got back to it I found the my cat was playing with the spring and all of the parts were on the floor. I did not know if I had all the parts or not. Now, I really did not need the power up feature on a .177 bb gun. I could have left it off but I sent off an email to the folks at evike dot com. They replied quickly and we were able to get it reassembled pretty fast.
As for my original problem, I discovered that there is a 1/16 set screw in the threads that I did not see at first. Problem solved.
The fit and finish are superb. There are no sharp edges and the design is well thought out. I will probably get into Airsoft at some point and I will still be able to use the HIVE on future purchases.

I bought the 130mm w/o power up. It has room inside the suppressor to fit foam or whatever if your country allows it.

"This looks great and MAKE SURE YOU DONT GET THE POWER UP it makes the barrel to tight and the B.B.'s hit the suppresser but if you get the normal one they are amazing
