"This MK17 is a great gun overall with both pros and cons. I would recommend when disassembling as well as assembling to use a cloth when tapping out pins from the gun to remove the upper receiver which will prevent scratches on pins over time. The gun is quite stiff out of the box but will wear into comfort over time. When in use, I would recommend keeping your fingers free from the reciprocating bolt. I definitely would prefer this MK17 to the WE MK17.
Pros:
-Exact replica.
-Accurate.
-Magazines are solid and fit in the gun sturdily and tight, but will slide in smoother over time.
-Heavy kick.
-Solid build overall. The exterior can handle some wear and abuse, but I would recommend avoiding extreme situations.
-Efficient magazines. I can get 45+ shots out from one mag when filled properly. Some magazines may be more or less efficient, however.
-Solid rails.
-Hop-up is easy to use and could be adjusted without any tools.
-Ambidextrous for the most part.
-Good fire rate.
-Magazines do not leak even after long use.
Cons:
-The hop-up unit. It does not click distinctly as I would prefer. It is also located on the exterior of the gun which to my preference should be inside. This is my opinion.
-The magazine becomes a bit prone to user error when used over time.
-The magpul on the magazines slides off easier than I would like which is my opinion.
-No foregrip included in the picture.
-Barrel length is a bit small in my opinion, but it can be fixed with a flash hider.
-The front iron sight was astonishingly stiff out of the box. Over time it did wear to my preference.
-When assembling after cleaning, the upper receiver was very stiff and requires quite a bit of force to place back with the lower receiver.
Overall a solid MK17. Although not as accurate as my AEGs, it has potential. I would not recommend this to small individuals, but otherwise a great airsoft gun.

"Disclaimer: I have been accused of being both a FNH fanboi and SCARaholic...
This is most realistic gas blowback version of the SCAR! Externally, this is the most accurate to real SCAR's (aside from the photos I've seen of TM's Recoil Shock AEG's). The trigger is even as meh as the real deal's OEM trigger! When you look at the fire control group in the lower receiver, that is pretty much what the real SCAR looks like!
Recoil is comparable to most semi-auto .22lr rifles I've shot. I only have 30' indoors to test airsoft guns right now and no chrono. At that distance, majority of .28 Elite Force bio bb's were in a 4" group. I was able to shoot 70ish bb's on a single Green Gas charge, mix of semi and full-auto shooting. I shot about 200 bb's total.
Pros:
- 99.9% accurate replica of SCAR-H/MK17 compared to other GBB's
- External build quality is solid. With exception of gas adjuster torx tool, if something feels loose/rattles on this, it does on the real thing too
- The selector detents are nice and crisp, wish more airsoft guns had safeties/selectors like this!
- Hop Up adjuster is in a super convenient location, although I may see if it can be swapped for Allen head set screw.
Cons/Minor gripes:
- Gas adjuster torx tool detents are super weak and the tool is very loose in gas block (shimmed with little electrical tape) seems to be common issue among SCAR airsoft replicas though
- Button to collapse/extend the stock is ridiculously stiff, real SCAR requires minimal effort to adjust
- Front takedown pin is super tight, I'm hoping this loosens up and I don't need to use hammer and punch on it all the time
- Nobody makes an orange AAC M.I.T.E.R 51T flash hider/tuning fork!?!? lol

"By far the best gbbr on the market. Shoots dead on and kicks pretty good. Out of my experience this is THE only gbbr that you can buy that will do a mag dump straight outa the box. Great gun, great gas efficiency. It is expensive, but well worth it.
P.S. next to the real deal, you can't tell them apart.

"Kicks nice , shoots pretty straight once you wear in the hopup and tune it . Best externals on the market , and the gun overall is just built outstandingly . No typical vfc bolt bounce or any other major issues . Haven't had any problems . Magazine is built like a tank also. Very happy with this gun and it seems vfc has figured it out with the internals finally. Flawless so far.

"Right out of the box the gun feels good, looks good and is already lubed up and shoots amazing. However please be aware a lot of this gun is plastic, while yes it is high quality plastic. It's not metal if that's what you're looking for. Please also note if you're like me and bought a (matrix) muzzle device to replace the crappy orange tip make sure your barrel can go through it or that it fits because for me the barrel sticks out a bit and it pushed the barrel inside the gun and completely f##### over the internals and it took my local field tech hours to fix so please don't be like me.

"Amazing rifle. Blowback action is superb and really gives you a good kick for that added realism and is closed bolt like the real deal. It is a bit heavy and can become cumbersome if you plan on spending a lot of time with it in the field so be prepared to swap to your secondary if need be. The weight shouldn't scare you away from purchasing the rifle however, the astonishingly low supply of getting magazines should. You will not be able to find any magazines for this rifle on EVIKE at all and if you do, buy a lottery ticket. Other than those drawbacks, you will love this rifle. It's accurate and has plenty of room for attachments and ergonomics. Field stripping the weapon is easy as well once you do it a couple of times and the charging handle does lock back after firing the last round in your magazine. Gas efficiency is also well as I can get at least 60-70 rounds through it without having to top up the gas.

"I waited several years for this gun to be in stock and somehow eventually got one. It’s bar none the best airsoft gun I’ve ever owned, and is the only GBBR I’ve ever owned. There are almost no cons with this gun, it is super accurate and has impressive range (I have hit people well over 150 feet accurately), the recoil is super snappy and fun, and it is very efficient, and can get through around 2 mags without loss of recoil in semi, and can empty a full mag in full auto without losing power, especially in interrupted bursts. The only malfunctions I’ve experienced have been due to reloading the same mag over and over, which after a few times it can get too cold and cause malfunctions, so using several mags is expensive but necessary. Only issues I’ve had with the gun is that the stock hinge is very weak and you can easily accidentally fold the stock if you pull it in too tight for recoil, I’ll regularly slightly fold the stock whenever I aggressively round a corner or peak an angle. Lastly the front sight is offset to a cant extreme enough that the iron sights are unusable, so in my case the gun was unusable without an optic (fortunately I had one and planned on using an optic anyway). All in all good gun
Pros:
Reliable
Efficient
Realistic
Accurate and good range
Fun to shoot and good for training
Cons:
Weak stock hinge
Unusable Iron Sights

"Bought the gun in December 2021.
When you first buy the gun, and test fire it, you will think the gun is the worst gun you've ever shot accuracy and range wise. But do not worry, after around 300 rounds it will break in and the gun will become accurate enough for outdoor gameplay, and pretty satisfactory range.
WHEN REASSEMBLING THE GUN, PULL THE BOLT BACK WHILE PUSHING IN THE LOWER RECEIVER, I HAD TO FIGURE THIS OUT THE HARD WAY
Another issue I've had is sometimes the follower in the mag wont go up enough after the last round is fired to engage the bolt catch, most of the time it does, but I have had instances where it won't engage.
I bought one extra mag (cuz that's all evike had in stock) and sometimes it will double feed and BB's will roll out the barrel and gas will shoot out the chamber, but this only happened with the aftermarket mag.
As cool as the SCAR is, it can be quite the headache, and due to the lack of aftermarket parts support, I suggest investing in a GHK M4 instead unless you absolutely need a SCAR, then get this instead of WE
Pros:
-Beautiful VFC externals
-Good recoil
-Satisfactory fire-rate/snappiness
-Good range/accuracy once broken in
-NPAS
-Really handy hop up adjustment location
-Mags have really good gas efficiency
-Came with speedloader, but if you lose it you're screwed
Cons:
-Mags are never in stock
-Sometimes mag issues
-Really heavy trigger pull
-Gun might be heavy for some people, get in the gym
-Not a lot of aftermarket parts support unlike We-tech
-Not sure why/when but sometimes the hop up will just stop engaging (it seems after lots of rounds fired, but then again I've gone whole games with no problems)

"If you just want a really realistic and fun to shoot GBBR then this is a great buy. It also does have pretty good gas efficiency and a very sturdy body. I accidentally shot my cousin in the balls once and it did make his right testicle “explode” sadly I am no longer able to see him and he hates me now so I would recommend not intentionally shooting anyone who isn’t wanting to be shot. Overall very good

"Great reproduction of the FN SCAR H. Blowback action is impressive, accuracy is very good. Mag is a challenge to load without the mag loading tool (which is a bit flimsy). Very fun gun to shoot and a great addition to the GBB collection.

"Got mine yesterday, and sadly within 50 rounds the plastic bolt snapped. I'm sure I just got a lemon, but it still stinks because now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get a new one sent back to me. But besides that it seems fantastic. Nice weight, quality feel ln hand, and the blowback action is amazing. Accurate to a good distance, and the gas in mags seem to last. Can't wait to get my new scar h.

"Well let's do a pros and cons, as it's easy for you and me.
PRO:
1.Beautiful gun, externals are great.
2.Apart from beauty, very solid too.
3.internal integrity is strong.
4.Very powerful blowback.
5.very light, at least for me, as my same model, same branded VFC Scar H AEG, was a bit heavier.
6.Very realistic actions, trades, and mag capacity, and even fire rate.
7.Not over priced for the gun you get.
8.Accurate when the hop up actually works...
CONS:
1.My hop up seemed to no work in my first mag.
2.Cold Weather will screw your gun up, literally in 25-38 degrees fahrenheit leaks all gas in your first shot.
3.very realistic for gas spewing, however my spewd a little too much making gas consumption high.
4.I would use this as a DMR and would like higher fps, but that can be fixed/ tweaked.
5. Not quite loud enough, I strive for realism this gun has everything, beside the bang I am looking for.
OVERALL:
In my opinion I just got a lemon, however the issues discussed all can be fixed, however with a cost of course, but I still feel like this is one of the best GBBR's on the market.
Thanks for reading.

"I already wrote one review so this is more of an update. Overall the gun is great and I highly recommend getting one. Being a blowback gun, all the screws tend to walk themselves out with recoil over time, not a huge issue, I just recommend retightening them and using loctite, however there are two screws that hold the barrel in place, the one on the front near the fake gas block got striped out when I retightened it (barely any torque). Without that screw tight, the barrel will flop about loosely and the gun is unusably accurate and wobbles horribly. Fortunately I was able to completely disassemble the gun and retap the barrel for threads that accept a larger bolt to hold the barrel in place, but the use of bolts to secure the barrel and also attach the rail system is an inherent design flaw, and I wonder why VFC differed the design from the real Scars free float barrel system. Still a great airsoft replica and works like a charm, just a considerable flaw in the design I encourage all potential buyers to take into account and be cautious of

"its pretty nice, but I cant find a new inner barrel for it. I bought an angel custom barrel but it was not compatible. it also shoots 15-30 fps higher than my field limit. not too much if an issue if your field owner is chill but is if it's strict.
overall not a bad gun. Just have some issues that are severe for me, but maybe not for you.

"It worked very well until the spring behind the nozzle broke. I replaced it, but then it ended up breaking again after I shot it for the first time after the spring replacement, then broken pieces of the nozzle, and chewed up BBs started falling out of the magwell. I can't replace the nozzle because the screw that holds it inside the bolt was so tight, it ended up stripping, and there are so few replacement parts available for this gun.
