"In a land without SCS/PCS nubs... in a time where R-hops and flat-hops are put in anything capable of projecting a 6mm plastic BB... is there still room for an H-nub?
YES!
I have had nothing but fantastic luck with H-nubs in combination with G&G green buckings and Madbull 6.03mm barrels. I have built field-dominating DMRs, intimidating CQB hip-blasters, and all-in-one multipurpose assault rifles with this combo, and all have been insanely accurate for how little the sum of their parts costs.
These are an instant drop-in part for any AEG I work on. HIGHLY recommended. If your gun doesn't shoot above 400FPS, an R-hop and flat-hop won't give you any tangible performance benefits - but an H-nub and a quality rubber will do the job.
