Big Bang Air Guns No.1 Mk3 SMLE Bolt Action CO2-Powered Gas Air Rifle (.177 Caliber Air Gun)

"It's a pricy item from a lesser known brand. I have to admit I was suspicious at first.
As it turns out, I'm exceptionally surprised by the quality of this product. My item is intact and smooth after ~150 rounds. I think it's a great product worth the price.

It says made in China and I think it's similar to a uk model with some youtuber reviewing it.

I have complaints about the manual though. It's not very clear in some crucial steps. Like the magazine co2 insertion, the actual method should be quickly screw in after hearing the hissing to stop the co2 leaking, instead of the simple instruction "screw in the co2 canister".

The magazine is loosely attached to the gun, is another problem. You need to learn the rhythm of clipping.

Loading bbs is a bit tricky I haven't yet figured out completely. The entrance can be jammed when 2 or more bbs are dumped in, I have to carefully put 1 bb in, shake it down into the feeder, then next bb.

With all the flaws above, it has smooth action. Sight adjustment is legit. All metal and wood gives a trusty weight. Single co2 canister means less waste for casual plink. A very impressive replica.

"I received my well-packaged SMLE about five days after placing the order, very impressed with Evike's logistics and such. I had the opportunity to fire it side by side with a real Lee Enfield and the mass and heft are identical. I waited until firing a couple of hundred bb rounds before making observations, as follow:

The wood stock and forearm are well fitted, and I appreciate that the barrel band can be removed and the whole piece readily disassembled. The bolt and receiver are solid steel and spot-on to the originals, and the clip is almost identical, quite impressive given the redesign needed to accommodate the CO2 and bbs.

Less impressive is the fit of the magazine into the receiver - unlike other similar models it does not secure with a reassuring snap but is somewhat loose and wobbly. However once the mag is correctly secured (which takes a lot of practice) and the bolt is treated gently, the rifle fires with acceptable accuracy and precision for backyard can-smashing.

But in comparison with the Moisin-Nagant from another manufacturer, the SMLE falls short - the Moisin bolt action is super smooth and reliable, the mag does not misbehave, and groups are much closer. Not to mention that the Moisin comes with sling and bayonet!

However these are quibbles, and if all you want is a working Lee-Enfield replica then you will not be disappointed with the Big Bang model. A well-made replica sling is available from IMA for $20. Can someone please look into the bayonet question; of many replica bayonets available on line, which will fit the lugs on the Big Bang SMLE?

"So after 3 returns I have the Enfield MKIII SMLE BB rifle I originally asked for and I am not disappointed!
If you collect WWII replica air guns this is a must have.
You can pay more for a M1944 Mosin Nagant with a faux wood stock. Or you can purchase this Enfield with full on real wood for considerably less.
If you receive it from Evikes Texas warehouse that's a double plus.
Evike honors their return policy and a dedicated to customer satisfaction.

"Howdy, so I recently received my Enfield MKIII SMLE and right out of the box I loved it. It's heavy, and it's beautiful. I did encounter a problem though. On the 8th round the trigger would not return to ready to fire position. Seems it was jammed and locked in the rear position. So, I contacted Evike and without a hitch they sent me an RMA # to ship it back. I will receive a replacement in 3-5 days.
So, they are a good company to purchase from.
Evike is the only one offering this model. So glad they do.
It will be added to my WWII BB gun collection.

"This just arrived. It is eye candy it is accurate. It is fun. Like another reviewer already stated: the bb version did not come with an orange tip (thankfully).

Great customer service and fast shipping. Very happy with Evike and this product.

"Having placed the order on October 21, 2020, this item arrived today. I don’t understand the ins and outs of licensing and distribution, but it looks identical to the “Enfield Sports“ model that has been reviewed on various British websites a year ago or so. The cocking mechanism is working smoothly and as intended. Functioning safety, and an opening at the brass end of the stock (in the original reportedly for storing oil and cleaning materials) that I could not figure out how to open yet.

Good news: no orange tip!

"I have just received this rifle and have not had a chance to shoot it yet but this gun is very impressive just out of the box. The finish on the stock is outstanding however the wood is kind of soft. Love the short throw on the bolt and everything is metal except for the stock. This is a well made gun. Only negative thing I have at this time is who would put a bright orange muzzle tip on a .177 cal metal BB gun when it is not required by federal law. That item ruins the authentic look of this rifle. Other than that this is a well made exceptional Air rifle.

"An update after I returned my init replica after a bb jam. I had several rounds of replacement with evike and customer service is amazing! My workshop skills improved quite a bit from these experiences lol.
I figure It'll help other folks to list the issues and non-official fixes for reference.
1. bbs jammmed in the breech. Get a ramrod to push them out.
2. bolt disassembles itself as you pull it back. There's a small pin supposed to hold it together. Look around for where it flew to when the bolt disassembled. The pin is numbered LE-70 in manual.
3. co2 leakage. The seal in magazine may have dry out during storage. In my case, the dried out seal is right below the needle for penetrating the co2 canister. I soaked it with a few drops of silicone oil for 12 hours.

A nice-looking and hefty replica, the quality variance requires some maintenance skills though. Aha I missed my first one, should've kept it.

"Well, it's a very beautiful piece. Has weight.
However, I had to return my first order due to a trigger issue. Now having to return the replacement because of a magazine issue.
Luckily there is a warranty, and luckily Evike values their customers.
Issues aside, this Enfield MKIII BB rifle is awesome.
I really hope that the 3rd time is the charm.
No other US company offers this. Even the Mosin Nagant I've looked at from other companies is nice.
But it's about 50.00 more and the entire stock is synthetic. While for 50.00 less, this Enfield is real solid wood! I did get to shoot the first one I received. And it hits hard.
Well, we'll see what happens next!

"This gun is beautiful and it feels great. A sling and real bayonet will fit this.
Now for the bad news. I bought one last month. I was happy until on the 8th shoot the trigger locked in the fire position and would not return to ready. Returned for replacement. Received replacement second gun, very nice. However, While inserting and seating the CO2 cartridge, all the gas run out around the what I call the firing pin. The representatives I've talked too are very nice, apologetic, professional. So, this one is going back. Sad that the entire gun has to go back when it most likely just needs a magazine repair or replacement.
Well, they say. 3rd times a charm.

"Well, got mine 04/19/2022. Took like forever.
Loaded up the magazine as per instructions with 15 BBs.
Got off 8 shots. On the 8th shot the trigger locked in the rear or fire position. It would not return to ready.
I did request a RMA#. But it seems it's going to take like forever to get this returned and a replacement sent.
Out of the 4 BB gun companies I have purchased from this is the slowest. Overall, this is a very nice replica.
And Evike said they will help with my satisfaction.
But dang, how long does it take?
They sight covid for why it takes so long. But 3 of the companies don't have this excuse. One company is in Ohio and it only takes 4 days from order to delivery.
One is in Idaho and its 4 days as well.

"Amazing. Only problems I had was the magazine not taking the ammo due to a faulty spring. Easily fixable with the right tools and knowledge.

"Howdy to all,
Well I got my 2nd replacement today. So this is my 3rd Enfield. 1st had a trigger issue, 2nd had a magazine issue, now sadly this 3rd one has a bolt issue sometimes more often than not it takes 2 trigger pulls to fire. The bolt is sloppy, the firing mechanism is very loose and the bolt doesn't lock when the safety is engaged.
So it will be returned soon.
What's disappointing is this rifle looks and feels so awesome. It's a shame each one has so sort of problem.
The shipping box was a little damaged, there wasn't any packing material in the box. Some was not in a good mood when this order was prepared.
Anyway, I'll try this again until I get what I originally ordered. A new Enfield that lacks issues.
