Straight out of the box, I could tell it was high quality. It has the same internals as a bicycle helmet, which provides basic protection from bumps. The helmet itself is made of a very solid hard plastic. No chance of this breaking in the field.

The helmet includes foam inserts to keep the inside of the helmet comfortable during use. After you install those, you won't remember you're wearing a helmet. It's pretty comfortable and easy to get used to.

I'd recommend this helmet to anybody I know. Great for PJ/Seal MilSim.

"Review: Emerson FAST Type Tactical Airsoft Helmet w/ Flip-down Visor (PJ Type / Basic / Foliage Green)

Like in the title this helmet is a "Basic" so when I got this helmet ( I found it in my local airsoft field in a Mystery box.) it looks just like a bike helmet with the strap and everything. It does the job in protecting the player's head from any BB's but for me the look of the bike helmet strap killed the look so I had to Mod it with a Replacement Headband and Pad Set for "FAST" Tactical Airsoft Helmet - Black and a bit of time, a new Tan paint job and custom art work and now I have a cheap but cool Fast helmet that works for me. I can fit a head set under it but a non bulky one ( have a huge head.) I don't recommend using the visor it just looks flimsy but for those who need glasses the Lancer Tactical CA-203B work but I had to cut a small side of the rubber sides and boom they work and look good on the helmet, I also use the Bobster / Zan Safety/Shooting Glasses, 3 Interchangeable Lenses, ANSI Z87. but back to the helmet, it's good, works for people on a budget.

has Velcro for patches.
an NVG mount.
Side mounts for rails, a camera, lights/lasers.
comes in multiple colors patterns.
good for Cosplayers.

Cons:
the visor is not ANSI rated
the velcro wants to peel off.
has the Bike helmet look and feel ( need some moding to fix.)
the padding inside is bike helmet style ( but easy to remove.)

"It’s not a bad helmet but it’s not really worth it compared to things you can get now. It’s cheap and does it’s job but it doesn’t fit the best. It’s bike helmetish and a weird padding on the inside. Honestly it’s worth saving a little more for a quality helmet in the long run but it’s cheap so...

"The Emerson bump helmet is just that. It will help with a few bumps and bbs just fine, but it is not a heavy duty helmet. It has some flex to it, but it is actually fairly comfortable. It fit my head pretty well, though the padding that is attached to the hard foam is pretty thin and not attached very well. I dont expect it to last very long. It comes with 2 replacement pads for the front and back of your head. The chin strap is pretty comfortable for just being webbing. The flip down visor is a nice addition, but could be a little more crisp and have an easier way to flip it down. I would not use this as your eye protection for airsoft, except as a secondary.

For the price, this is not a bad entry level helmet. I wish it was a little sturdier and had better padding, but it is sufficient for casual play. If you are going to be hardcore milsim or doing things where you expect it to take some blows, I would suggest getting a higher end helmet with the thicker padding like the military style pads.

"Great helmet! Looks nice, visor flips up and down easily, chin clamp is easily adjustable, and it can take some hits without getting scratched. I only rate this 4/5 however, because the helmet does not look exactly like the one in the pictures. Instead of having tiger stripes it is more like normal desert arid camo, so while it looks and works great, it isn't exactly like you see it.

-Room to modify
Cons:
-Mask is not full seal, will be rejected by fields
-Helmet is basically a modded bike helmet
-Visor is easily moved up

Over all, great product.

"I bought this during Airsoft con, and so far it done me well and is very comfortable, but the sad part is that , when I was using it, the screw that keeps the rail in its place fell of and I lost it. :/
