"For those running M16/M4 mags, this is a fantastic rig, double stacked pouches. Quality is slightly above average though still cheap. Buckles are solid, lots of adjustability though OOTB it's definitely meant for very large sized individuals. But you can scale it to fit well on an arms and legs average height, average weight individual, but if you're any skinnier then that you'll probably have troubles making it fit.

Ergonomically, once loaded with some rather heavy stuff (4 metal hi capa mags, 6 LCT plastic thermal AK mags) there's a slight left shoulder bias due to the way the straps are laid out (they cross over on the back, one albeit thin strap atop another). Not noticeable when loose but when tight I do feel the left shoulder has a bit more tightness. If you're focused on long term ergonimics you might find a proper JPC a better fit as it will generally be more evenly distributed, kit depending.

This rig also isn't very light once you start adding a lot of stuff to it. You'll feel more pressure on the front and you'll spend a bit more time adjusting and perfecting strap lengths and positioning of the rig. I personally suggest running this higher on the chest so it doesn't compress your stomach.

Note that none of the pouches are removeable. While this saves weight, it limits your flexibility. It does have some some Molle on the sides for some doodads. There's also Molle on the shoulder straps. No back molle sadly.

For those running AK mags, this is less than ideal. The pouches have rather sloppy tolerances, fine enough for M4s/M16 mags, but on AKs, they range from "very tight" to "this is almost impossible to get in if the other mag is in there first" due to the AK retainment lip primarily. Currently I'm in the midst of breaking them in using LCT "Thermal Style" AK mags, and time will tell if they fit to be practical for AK.

At worst however you can probably fit 3-4 AK magazines without issues, just unable to double stack AK mags. The middle pouch has the loosest fit I can tell and can more easily double stack AK mags. The side pouches are not as consistent. My right pouch was a tight and annoying fit, my left pouch was the problematic one.

Also to note, a good majority of the stitching on my rig is fine, though I noticed some loose/extraneous threads on the padded shoulder straps that meet the X on the back - nonproblematic for now and I don't think it'll matter much in the long term, but something to note.

Overall for 43$ this is extremely good if you're looking for a Cooler Chicom (but also M4), but if you're extremely precise about how you want everything to fit and feel perfectly, a plate carrier is probably a better option but will command a premium. However, I believe for the vast majority of folk, this chest rig is good enough for anyone just getting into airsoft and even vets who just want something that works. I'm nitpicky, my review is for those who are looking for details.

5/5 for mags that fit.

"this thing suprised me, it came loose and would fit some dude who weighs 400 pounds, has a nice adjustment system with strap retainers to keep the straps from flopping, holds 6 m4 magazines, the inside admin pouch fits hats, papers etc. very nice feature, i attached a condor hydro carrier on the rear of the rig, worked great!. swivel clips are a pain to take on and off, im 5'10 205 lbs, medium build, fits me great. 10/10 reccomend

About Condor Outdoor

Condor Outdoor founds its beginnings early on as a camping goods manufacturer. The earlier days of the company were more focused on getting people out into nature and experiencing the wonder of the outdoors. As our product line expanded, the demand for function focused gear instead of general storage became more prevalent and as the War on Terror started we could not keep up with the demand for our products. Our quality and price of the 3-day Assault Pack drew so much attention that it became the heart of our tactical product line. From here we've expanded from camping vests to tactical vests, and expanding the product offering to equip warfighters, law enforcement, and hunters with quality and affordable gear.
