The M1903 Springfield, formally the United States rifle, Caliber .30-06, Model 1903, is an American clip-loaded, 5-round magazine fed, bolt-action service rifle used primarily during the first half of the 20th century.

It was officially adopted as a United States military bolt-action rifle on June 19, 1903, and saw service in World War I. It was officially replaced as the standard infantry rifle by the faster-firing semi-automatic 8-round M1 Garand starting in 1937. However, the M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle during World War II, since the U.S. entered the war without sufficient M1 rifles to arm all troops. It also remained in service as a sniper rifle during World War II, the Korean War, and even in the early stages of the Vietnam War. It remains popular as a civilian firearm, historical collector's piece, and as a military drill rifle.

The S&T 1903A3 bolt action rifle is an outstanding homage to its real steel cousin. Constructed of metal and mounted to exquisitely crafted wood stock the S&T 1903A3 looks as good as it shoots. With a smooth bolt pull the S&T 1903A3 offers solid performance at a fraction of the price you would pay for other 1903 replicas on the market. When compared to other available 1903s, the spring powered system used in the S&T offers more consistent, reliable and hassle free performance, limiting issues on the battle field.

"Update on my first impression of the M1903A3. I will list them
1- Pros it is a great accurate out of the box rifle I still love it and use it for target practice, with frustration but that frustration I learned is not the M1903A3 it is the Mag that causes this rifle problems.
2- The bayonet lug does not fit the M1903 or 45 bayonet unless you grind the lug down so I bought the actual lug for it and this fit fine but the outer barrel is too short by about an inch, the bayonet fits the first lug but cannot reach the second which is the locking part and I have the real bayonet. But again, I did not buy the rifle to run a bayonet course so that gets a pass from me.
3- When a bb gets into the bolt area you cannot get it out by pulling back the bolt hell you don't even know it's there you have to bang the rifle a few times turn it upside down and shake it to get the bb out or the bolt locks on you and will not seat in. in order to clean this you need to field strip the rifle.
4- The problem with number 3 is the mag. sometimes when you push in the mag it releases some bb's and some go into the bolt area or just into the barrel which both are a pain as the jamming rod will not go past the hop.
My final thoughts on this M1903A3 is not the rifle but the mag a different
more like the Double Eagle Magazine for M59P mag would make this perfect I have Double Eagle Type 96 M59A and no problems at all with the mag and I use this rifle allot.
So my final thoughts are the M1903A3 is a great rifle and I love it to the point I put up with the mag.
Unless you are someone like me that loves to look at the legends or own a replica of them then do not spend the money on this and if you do get the real wood cause it feels like the real thing the Faux is too light and feels like a toy and I bought both first the Faux then the wood.
I will still give this rifle a 5/5 cause I love just picking it up and the memories I have with the real one
safe shooting

"Got mine yesterday. Feel in love with it. Had no problems with it except shooter problems meaning me. First i overloaded the mag but i did that on purpose to see if I could get more then 12 in it. Then I did not pull the bolt back far enough an few times and shot double BBs from it. Other than that the gun was perfect the color was great and it was accurate I hit everything I shot at and the distance was at least 50 to 100 yards. Once I got started I could not put this down.
For me the only down fall was I got the Faux Wood because I could not wait for Evike to get the real wood in mistake on me because it is not heavy enough. The bolt is a bit hard to pull back yes but that is fine it will wear in and they put a little too much grease on it so clean it.
Overall, this is a 10 not a 5

"There is nothing bad to say.
The bolt was properly lubed, I could see the little excess in the normal spots but I dripped some silicone oil on various spots along the entire stroke of the bolt anyway.
Then I shot it and it drives tacks.

Airsoft game worthy idk but as a replica for plinking just wow. I own 150 guns this is easily a top 5.
I wouldn't want to be racking the heck out of this bolt in games, buy an m40 or whatever the Remington 700 military versions are or the type96 counter strike magnum sniper rifles for using as a hammer. They cost under 200 and I heard snipers aren't even really a thing in airsoft anyway....

This gun is for staying nice and it's a testament to a world where China can actually produce a nice, manufactured product.
