Drawing on the patented technology acquired from Airsoft Innovations, KRYTAC has developed the Tornado 3 with its own enhancements that elevate performance and reliability. Its body is CNC machined from aluminum ensuring dependable performance and durability under rigorous use.

Featuring a single ejection port, the Tornado 3 simplifies loading while maintaining a consistent velocity of 330 FPS and 1 Joule of energy output. It's refined design ensures a wide, even spread, ideal for both close-quarters encounters and open-field engagements.

The three-stage detonation timer allows players to select Short, Medium, or Long delays without disassembly, adapting seamlessly to a variety of scenarios.

A maintenance-free fill valve further enhances user convenience by eliminating the need for lubrication, reducing long-term upkeep while ensuring consistent gas performance across Propane, Green Gas, and Duster Gas (134A).

"The vibe: While I am grateful Krytac has revived the Tornado style grenade, the firing system and safety pin are MAJOR flaws.

Issue 1: Firing plunger: Krytac should have included a tool to twist the plunger for reinserting the pin. No I do not consider the pin an appropriate tool.

Issue 2: Safety pin: changing the timing of the Tornado 3 will leave roughly one second to where the pin can fall freely from an armed grenade. Why couldn't Krytac spend some R&D time and make a pin like the discontinued cyclone impact grenade?

Issue 3: Instructions: the included manual omitted resetting the firing plunger, and worded the warranty information in a way that made removing the top rubber cover feel wrong, at first. The cyclone grenade had reloading instructions printed ON the label.

Nit-Pick 1: Top rubber cover: The air tag cap has been knocked off with gentle use. Granted it has only happened once in over two dozen throws, but it should not have happened at all. Honestly, the air tag compartment feels like a gimmick more than a deliberate feature.

Nit-Pick 2: Loading / Retention: The spiral can be filled to near max, however the open port dumps bbs with enough movement. Store these grenades at your hip where there is less travel and general movement.

Personal Preference: The weight: Who at Krytac thought producing a grenade that, when loaded, weighs as much as a 16oz energy drink was a good idea? I can tell Krytac lawyers were adamant about their CYAs because the box, manual, and grenade caution against, 'excessive force'. I still prefer the lighter polymer Cyclones and Tornado 1s.

Obligatory Complaint About Prices in 2026: 90$, which becomes 180$ because the fun value only comes from having more than one. Not to mention how much green gas these grenades take to achieve full effect.

The Good Thing That Makes All the Bad Things Not Matter Anymore: Speaking of fun value: forget all my nit-picks these are an absolute blast to toss at corners! Also, as an extra surprise, most Cyclone / Tornado 2 holders will work with the Tornado 3. Your results may vary.

4/5: Buy 2, prepare to spend another 40$~ on green gas, throw responsibly.
