"When i first installed this, I noticed that the hammer would not latch back when dry firing the gun. I was worried that it was not compatible and I was about to put a OEM spring that I had back in the gun. I found that after putting stress on the spring for a while, the gun started to work as expected. I had to leave the hammer cocked back for a few hours, and now it works great. Heavy trigger pull and nice, tactile reset. Would give it 5/5 but this spring caused quite a headache at first, but I am now happy with the purchase.

"I bought this around the end of August and some of the other reviews mention the difficulty of engaging the hammer which I did have to use pliers the first time I installed into the chassis but after that it work quite well, the extremely large issue I had with this is that after about a months of use, the longer end of the spring snapped off so it was no longer usable, thankfully I still had my stock spring.

I may have had a lemon from this batch but overall I can't recommend it

"The part itself looks to be really well made. The issue comes from it's fit with other parts. I purchased this when I was upgrading from stock components to stainless units from Cowcow. The spring was binding inside the housing and stopping the hammer from being able to go fully back and be locked by the sear. Switching to an Angel Custom 120% hammer spring immediately solved the issue.

It might have worked with the softer alloys and looser tolerance of stick parts but simply would not work with the SS housing and components from Cowcow despite multiple attempts to make it work.
