"I got this with the intention of only using the notch sight, not the flip up aperture. I have it on the front of an ar top rail for longer eye relief/shorter sight radius. It needs a riser for this use, but works great. The flip up aperture itself is kinda flimsy...fine for airsoft, but the notch sight is really where it's at.

"Surprisingly I have to rate this lower than the front sight version of this, mainly because every single one I got was uneven at the bottom... I had to file it down to make it even and smooth, to align with the front sight. Otherwise, the fiber optics was not as visible as I'd expect it to be, but overall is a nice decorative/backup iron sight for the value. I do like it.
