" The rifle is great. Shot about 1.65 joules out of the box, feels good quality and sturdy. Note that mine came with a DEANS connector, not a small tamiya. Which was a pain because i bought batteries with small tamiya connectors for it so i had to overnight ship an adapter for my batteries to fit. I attended a 24 hr milsim game with this rifle and it ran like a champ in the heat, rain, dirt, everything. Overall I’m happy and would purchase from E&C again
" Okay, so I ordered this this thing at the end of August (it's October now) and received it at the beginning of September.
I threw in a 6.03mm tight bore barrel in it immediately, and have fielded it twice.
Out of the box, the externals are AMAZING. It does not come with the skull/radioactive logo on the receiver, but instead with a clean, unmarked receiver, other than having the markings of "Safe-Semi-Auto." The front take down pin (retained with a hex screw) was a tad lose, but with a little tightening of the receiver, it is solid as rock! There is no wobble in the stock, and even the M5 RAS replica rail system has 0 wobble. Very uncommon for a non-free float rail system.
It's got a bit of weight to it, so keep that in mind. Especially if fielding it all day.
But the performance is amazing. Other than a tight bore, it is stock. It gets great range with .28g BB's. With an 11.1V (for the record, I do not recommend without a MOSFET/gearbox upgrades), the fire rate is superb.
It will definitely need some upgrades in the future, but out of the box, it is a good field rifle.
And if you are looking at an upgradeable platform and/or a nice/accurate M16A4 replica, this is your AEG ;)
" I got this gun for a DMR project that I wanted to do. Out of the box the gun is light and sturdy with no wobble except for the stock but the long screw that runs from the butt plate to the gearbox was a tad loose, once I tightened that up no more wobble. I wired it to deans and tested the fps with .20 gram elite force bbs getting 419 to 421 fps out of 8 or so rounds. The trigger response is crisp, tested with an 11.1 volt lipo, full auto is as you would expect with the 11.1. Accuracy was ok but not the best but it definitely gets some ok range stock, I would HIGHLY recommend flat hopping or Rhoping for more range and consistency with heavier bbs. So overall out of the box it’s a good starter DMR platform. Metal hop up chamber, you can upgrade the barrel with a 509mm, or a 510mm if they make them that long to hit right at the end of the outer barrel, the 509mm will sit just under the threaded part of the outer barrel. I went with a 509mm angel customs 6.01 tbb and it sat tight in the outer barrel no need for spacers to support the barrel. Gearbox also seems sound enough to support power upgrades and the original parts seem as though they can handle a beating as well. The gearbox sounds pretty well shimmed from the factory and the compression is good enough to maybe just need an oringed nozzle. If you are wondering if the front triangle sight/gas block can come off of the outer barrel, yes it can there are 2 roll pins like the real steel counterpart and unlike the reel steel counterpart there is a set screw under the sling point, I took it off to install a low pro gas block and a free floating 12” rail also the flash hider is glued but not tightly in place and threaded 14mm CCW.
