"It does not affect the functionality or performance on the pistol. It is there mainly for aesthetic purposes. My reasons of purchasing it is to conceal the exposed tip of the recoil guide rod plus attach my led flashlight green laser sight combination device to the rail. I have to admit, it actually appears awesome on my Tokyo Marui Glock 17 GBB Pistol. Just as Maple Leaf, Nine Ball is very reliable with their aftermarket parts for Tokyo Marui GBB. In contrast with Maple Leaf being in Taiwan, Nine Ball is based in Japan. The majority of Nine Ball aftermarket parts I purchased for my Tokyo Marui GBB Pistols have performed their task properly.

"This is a useless part as far as airsoft - you'll never actually strike anyone with this.

This is a completely needless piece as far as adding functionality to your pistol.

This is a really expensive part and has no real world use...

...AND I LOVE IT!

Looks super-bad, comes with some spacers to get it really tight onto your rail and feels really sturdy once installed.

This looks similar to the similar 5KU part, but this is longer on the bottom and matches the Glock better in my opinion. It also leaves you room to attach a pistol light like the Olight PL-MINI.
