Features Functional bolt catch Adjustable front and rear sights Removable folding stock Ambidextrous charging knobs Reinforced polymer receiver Semi and full auto select fire Type 3 adjustable hop-up Gas operated recoil blow back Development of the vz. 61 Skorpion was initiated in the late 1950s, with the intent to provide various non-infantry units with a lightweight, personal defense weapon that brought more firepower than the standard pistol. First prototypes of the new weapon were built in 1959 and was officially adopted by the Czechoslovak Army in 1961. Although the vz. 61 Skorpion was created for the Czech Army, a few Skorpions found their way into the hands of various niche groups, which favored the weapon for its small size and the subsonic capabilities of the .32 ACP cartridge.
The KWA kz. 61 Skorpion Submachine Gun features a removable folding stock, ambidextrous charging knobs, and two select-fire modes. The short overall length of the kz. 61 Skorpion makes it ideal for close quarter engagements, or as a sidearm for individuals who want a larger volume of fire from their secondary.

" Great little gun ive had mine for 3 years. build quality is very good. The 40rd mags can mag dump as long as you gas them up fully. Great thing with kwa is you can buy almost every single little part and o-ring from them.
Cheat Codes:
OPTICS/LIGHTS - Get 2 of the 25mm scope mounts with the pic rail on top. Remove the front sight post on the gun. clamp the two tops of the scope rings together around where the barrel meets the receiver, the top facing back and the bottom facing forward. Now you can put a micro dot on top and a light on the bottom.
MUZZLE DEVICES - The barrel is 12mm in diameter same as the kwa mp7 gbb. If you get a 12mm+ dye you can thread the barrel on the KZ.61 and run the mp7 12mm+ to 14mm- thread adapter and run whatever muzzle device you want. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE THREADS STRAIGHT. I would only recommend this if you have a decent amount of tools, a vise, and have experience using a dye.
I did these and run a T1 on top and a noveske stubby amplifier for the memes.
" Of all of my gas blowback replicas this by far is my favorite. For a long time I kept it in my bag as a back up gun for when my other replicas failed me. Unfortunately, they all failed me quite a bit.
At some point, I realized that this gun is not only a great back up gun, but can easily be used as a main, even outdoors.
I recently used it at a two day, long outdoor event in full auto and fired more than 2500 BBs. The gun simply works and keeps on ticking. Even after thousands of rounds are used. It’s compact and lightweight enough and it’s folded form to be used for CQB, I can still reach out and touch target at large outdoor fields with heavier BBs.
All of the spare parts are available through KWA’s website which means you’ll always have quick to ship Parts support.
Of the dozen or so gas blowback replicas I own this is really the only one that I would 100% suggest.
" I use the skorpion a primary cqb weapon. Out of the box it's an excellent choice. The sites are great for quick target acquisition. The folding stock detaches easily and I feel the gun handles more effectively without it. The fire selection is stiff but I rarely use single fire. The 20 rd magazine is reliable but empties quickly. I carry one 40 rd magazine for specific situations where spray fire is called for but it has finnicky charging. Keep it oiled and clean.
I holster it in a cradle rig that holds it in the small of my back. Don't scrimp on magazine pouches.
As a side note a respected rival has a brace type stock intended for the glock on his .
