" Absolutely love this gun! My local field had a tarkov event and i picked up one of these for it, its got its cons for sure, but it also definitely has its pros and ill go over some of what I experienced using this gun for about 10 hours for 3 days.
FOR NEW BUYERS, when I got this gun it was lightly lightly used and it already had some shooting issues, mainly shooting multiples bbs and clogging the inner barrel. PLEASE if you get this buy the kings arms vss version 2 hopup from another website. It is the immediate fix to this guns main issue.
Pros:
Shoots like a laser. For a older model it really can lob bbs with VERY good accuracy. I used 0.30s all day with this and am still hitting around 370 fps. This can still serve you well as a dmr if you choose.
Easy breakdown, if need be you could field strip this in about 1-2 minutes.
You looks cool, I mean cmon its a vss.
The wooden stock is very very comfy when laying or jamming it in your shoulder.
Cons:
Battery space. The battery sits in the barrel and it really is a squeeze getting the battery in, dosent help it only fits these thin triple butterfly ones its not easy. I recommend getting some electric tape and taping then to the outer barrel before sliding the cover over.
This shouldnt matter but its rps isnt very great
The hopup already in it sucks and has been reported to break very fast if it isnt already broken on shipping.
Overall its a great gun that is definitely different but wont leave you lagging behind all your m4 and ak brothers. Overall its a solid 7.5/10 gun and I ALWAYS use this when im on rusfor.
" Disregard my last review as it is incorrect, I have discovered that there is no problem with the guns internal as it appears king arms fixed it themselves, instead, the problem is the high cap magazines, buy the midcaps instead, you wont regret it, also don't try to fix the weapon as they already fixed it, as they have failed to mention.
" Bought this along with the King Arms AS Val.
Right off the bat I gotta mention the fact that the current generation of King Arms VSS Vintorez's and AS Vals have inline mosfets, which is an awesome bonus since even the LCT versions don't have mosfets out of the box.
That's where most of the pros and tho unfortunately.
Out of the box my Vintorez only intermittently shot semi auto on the semi auto position.
The gun would fire 2-3 round bursts after every other pull of the trigger on Semi.
The AS Val had no such issues thankfully.
I managed to get the gun firing semi consistently.
It's pretty much entirely a V3 internally.
Disassembly isn't too hard, but the forward-most body pin that keeps the outer barrel/trunion in place was ridiculously hard to punch out, and just as hard to punch back into place.
All that aside the internals are somewhat dated. The short-type motor does seem to have a bit of torque. Out of the box the gun fired around 390-ish FPS. The nozzle length is 19.45mm, so somewhat proprietary. Standard v2/v3 gearset, plastic tooth piston and piston head, non ported cylinder, cylinder head, plastic v3 spring guide and 7mm bearings. Also uses a standard AK hopup unit. Clean the inner barrel too, its filthy. The rubber buttpad on my Vintorez is also sorta loose and I don't see any easy way to tighten it. The orange circular tip isn't too hard to remove aside from the metal pin on the bottom side of it that you've gotta dig out. The Matrix brand PSO-1 scope does fit it just fine too. Aside from having to fix the gun myself, I'm fairly happy with it so far.
