SRU P3 Tactical Helmet System w/ Integrated Cooling System & Flip-Up Visor

"After using this helmet for five months on an outdoor field, I think I can give an honest review of it.
Part one looks and visor.
Firstly, the helmet looks great; if you're getting something purely to show off, this is a good choice.
This helmet is not a full seal, I can easily get my whole hand under the visor, and I have to wear safety glasses underneath on my field.
The 3D parts are easy to install onto a fast helmet, and it is a decent fit for most people.
When I first got the helmet assembled, I fired point-blank into the visor with my 6mm pro shop FAL. It gave the visor minor dents but did not shatter, and it was able to take long-range hits on my field fine.
As with most eye protection, it will get scratched, and with this visor, it will reduce visibility.
The bottom piece of the helmet that you put onto the visor to lock in place doesn't like to stay on, and it can go flying off mid-game if you pull down on the release to raise the visor.
The GoPro mount is extremely fragile, it will not take a fall from a desk. If you need a GoPro mount, I would advise looking for a different mounting point than the one provided.


Part two fans and fog.
I'll say this now, the fact that there is no battery pack provided for the fans is a mark against this product. The fan wires can be cumbersome if not managed properly.
The ear covers can become a nuisance due to how easy they are to move. Tightening the screws from time to time is helpful to manage this but it never really goes away.
Furthermore, the fans (at least with my 9-volt mobile battery pack) did not provide nearly enough airflow to provide meaningful fog mitigation, so much so that when I decided to take out the fans because of the noise generation, I barely saw a difference in the amount of fog in the helmet.
Depending on the weather, the amount of condensation is variable, and I have always coated my lenses in an antifog gel every Saturday, and it still gives me minor issues. There will be fog the more you use it, so be prepared to counter the condensation as needed and replace the visor as it acquires scratches and damage.

Another thing about this helmet that is mentioned on SRU's website is you will need a sight riser to be able to actually aim down the sights of your rifle.
