The Springfield Armory XD (Xtreme Duty) line of handguns are polymer framed, striker fired, semi-automatic pistols designed to meet the various needs of law enforcement agencies. The XDM series of handguns share many of the same features that made the standard XD line great but adds many improvements to better cater to the end-users shooting experience. The XDM features interchangeable backstraps to better contour the grip for each individual users preference in feel and comfort. The aggressive grip texturing helps to lock the pistol into the palm of your hand for a positive locked-in grip. The handgun also employs many safety features such as a trigger safety, grip safety, loaded chamber indicator, as well as a cocked striker indicator to ensure safe and deliberate operation of this weapon. Other notable features include an ambidextrous magazine release that does not have to be flipped/or reversed; the magazine release can be pressed from either side at any time.

The Air Venturi / Springfield Armory collaboration XDM series of Airsoft pistols accurately recreates a training version of the real XDM. The fit, feel, and function are all 1:1 with the polymer used feeling near identical to the real thing. Compatibility with WE-Tech parts, magazines, and upgrades mean this lightweight pistol is far from being light on features.

"Model: 4.5 Duty / FDE / Reload Package

I got this gun for my dad as a training weapon for his XDM firearm. He says its very snappy and surprisingly accurate. It also fits his firearm holster and the magazines fit in his mag pouch. It doesn't do great in 60-degree or less weather. But to my understanding, neither does any other gas replica. Overall, its a great gun. 10/10 recommend

"Got the all black compact. It came in a convenient, not-styrofoam box, with adapters for the longer (not-compact) mags, and backstraps for the grip.
It's pretty realistic:
* It's got some heft.
* Working firing pin indicator.
* Trigger pull is great. There's a smooth, not unrealistic/too light pull, and a crisp break. And the trigger reset is also crisp.
* Accurate so far, when tested at short range.
* Take down is easy, just like the real XD.

Cons:
The slide needs cleaning and lube for it to be smoother.
Needs a threaded barrel option.

Pulling out the mag doesn't cause BBs to fall out.
Overall this is a realistic, under-rated airsoft pisol at a good price.

"I just bought a second one of these in the package with two extra mags because I’m so absolutely in love with this pistol (see my first review below).

I promise you will not be disappointed in this gun. I have fielded it multiple times now and gotten some impressive distance kills out of this when the mag is full of gas. Distance does start to drop at the end of the mag in cold weather, but that’s what the extras are for! Now I can run akimbo with matching sidearms!

Evike DOES have spare mags for this on the regular - I was mistaken about that in my first review (it’s the sai blu compact mags that are never in stock). But the rest of everything is true. This gun is fantastic and you will love it!
