"Its a Great Small CQB Sniper Rifle, but there a lot to it then just a sniper rifle. its also very powerful shooting about 450-500FPS. Hot on most fields, but if you upgrade the barrel and bucking it a amazing quick play sniper rifle. The only thing is you have to get good at reloading fast because you only have 6 shots, you have to make them count. Overall fun to play with not recommended for beginners, for people who like to move around and sniper like a recon scout.

"I purchased a Herd Wolf after purchasing a WG 8-inch Super Sport revolver. Out of the box the Herd Wolf is a nasty looking carbine! Once I painted the orange tip flat-black and installed a UTG 3-9X32 Bug Buster scope.. It's now a EBC.. Evil Black Carbine.
The Pro's:
1. Looks Great!
2. Parts are fully compatible/interchangeable with Win Gun S-series revolvers.
3. Ability to swap out the 6mm airsoft barrel to 4.5mm BB with the WinGun Herd Wolf 4.5mm Conversion Kit available from Evike.
4. Co2 Powered.
Con's:
1. Though I haven't chrono'd it.. Win Gun revolvers are known to shoot hot.. in excess of 400fps.. that will possibly disqualify it from use in skirmishing.
2. No hop-up adjustment.
Note: I had a issue with the purchase of the 4.5mm Conversion Kit and Evike went above and beyond to make it right.

"Very well balanced between a pistol and dmr. Range is a problem if you can't compensate for the bullet drop past 100 feet with the .20 g rounds but once you are used to it the effective range is at about 170 to 200 feet. So far love it and would definitely recommend it.

"I've owned this sniper for a while now, over a year. While in service, it brought excellent power and accuracy over a good 100 foot range. Since there is no hopup, you have to remind yourself this is just a pistol with an extended barrel. The feel of the cartridges is great, and the overall feel is only the slightest wobbly, which can be tightened.
However, I had to decommission mine because an O-ring became loose. Since this is shoowing around the 600 fps mark, this is bound to happen eventually.
A good gun, with regular maintenance to be required.

"What can I say, this gun is fantastic with a wonderful look, as well as mobile. It is unique, reliable, and is a very light way to snipe. Because it IS a pistol of sorts, the lack of hopup is definitely the biggest letdown on this wonderful gun. The feel of the bullets gives a power placebo, and is a gun that takes skill as well as tactics. If you're looking for a unique, "sniper," Not necessarily for impeccable range, this is the one. Otherwise, get a good one with hopup.
Pro:
Light
Built in Red Dot Is very good when aligned
Cosmetics are great, It will fulfill the cowboy in everyone
Amphibious: It can come apart and become a pistol with or without stock, easily changeable on the field.
Fps is a good 480-500 depending on c02
Cons:
C02 drains very quickly in it, the first 10 rounds are without a doubt getting to their target. Expect to use one every 2-3 hours of intense trigger happy gameplay.
No hopup: Remember, it's a pistol, not a true sniper.
LOUD: Get ready to take aggro easily.
Lethal! Leaves big welts because it's not a gun to be trifled with... Maybe that's a pro.
Reload: It's a revolver using shells, be quick on your feet. It's easy to use a speed loader and put a bullet into the shells as you shoot them, otherwise you'll find yourself in a fix.

"I just received my M117 after pre-ordering in August. Let me clear up a few things about it.
Included in the box is the gun (which is actually labeled the Model 711), 6 shells, a revolver speed loader, the bipod, laser, batteries for the laser and a small allen wrench to adjust the alignment on the laser. Thats it; no parts to convert to standard length revolver are included.
This gun has no hop-up, adjustable or otherwise.
That being said the gun does work well, its very accurate out to about 50 feet, any further and the lack of hop up causes the bb to drop quickly. It is double and single action just the same as the other Win Gun revolvers and the gun is very well balanced around the pistol grip allowing easy use with one hand. I dont have access to a chrono, but based on comparison to my Win Gun 6 revolver which Ive chronoed at 400 fps Id say that the 530 to 600 fps with 0.2s is reasonably accurate.
The system to switch from carbine to revolver is very simple. The inner barrel, front plastic piece that includes the lower rail, and outer barrel all come off by simply unscrewing the outer barrel from the front of the revolver part. The inner barrel is pushed into the revolver part by a small spring on the muzzle end to maintain the air seal. A shorter inner barrel and screw cap (not included) can be attached in their place. A flip up front sight is even built into the upper rail of the revolver for use when the long outer barrel is removed. The stock attaches with two screws that can be removed to swap it out with a normal grip (not included) as well.
However there are some quality issues. The only thing that attaches the front plastic piece and the outer barrel to the revolver are the threads on the end of the outer barrel and this causes some wiggle between them and the rest of the gun. Also the rubberized pad on the end of the stock is pretty much hard plastic and the muzzle break is huge and not very good looking.
Those things aside this gun is really neat and useful if you want to target shoot in your yard or something like that, but its usefulness in a game is limited because of the lack of a hop-up. For the ranges youll be using it a regular Win Gun revolver will be equally as effective and easier to carry.
