"Wow, had to write this since the previous reviewer tried to use this as a Pintel mount and did not realize it does not hook to the front of the 1919, but the back through the bottom plate and rests on the bar between the back two legs.

So now that we know where it is supposed to go and how to attach it, here is my review. It is ok. It works as advertised but the price is crazy high for the quality and considering it is possible to get a real T&E that will hook to the Via Arms, or other airsoft 1919s for the same price or less. Other than looking good, and rounding out the entire 1919 load out it is hard to use during an airsoft match. The way these are used is that you map out fields of fire for an enplaced machine gun and then you dial in the azimuth and elevation on a known point. If you lock down the bottom of the T&E it and have to used it or move the weapon it adds time which makes game play difficult. I have used it several times during large mil sim type events and other than looking cool it is difficult to justify.

"When I bought one of these for my M1919 Tripod I was really excited due to the fact that it allowed me to raise the gun higher up so I have the ability to shoot over hills whilst a little further down giving a smaller hit box. Unfortunately this DOES NOT seat in the tripod correctly and needs to be slightly modified in order to work i.e. shaving a part of the front of the Pintel off.

I recommend getting the more basic Pintel if you get the M1919, because it WILL mount properly. If you do want to do the modifications to the Pintel then this thing is AMAZING but at 3.5 pounds its a hefty little bugger.
