Story of the real AKM: This is an authentic Airsoft replica of the AKM by CYMA.Introduced into service with the Soviet Army in 1959, the AKM is the most prevalent variant of the entire AK series of firearms and it has found widespread use with most member states of the former Warsaw Pact and its African and Asian allies as well as being widely exported and produced in many other countries. The production of these rifles was carried out at both the Tula Arms Plant and Izhmash. It was officially replaced in Soviet frontline service by the AK-74 in the late 1970s, but remains in use worldwide.The AKM maintains the AK-47's wood stock, but has simpler individual parts that are favorable for mass production. Like the AK-47, many variants of the AKM exist such as the AKMS, AKML, and AKMP.

"CYMA AKM w/fake wood
A few of these and some friends could rule the field.
Impressive ROF and accuracy for a $200 gun. Even better on sale.
Kinda heavy but solid, looks like it could either store an extra battery in the top or it's an alternate location from the stock.
You can see the end of the inner barrel just inside the muzzle break.
This thing shoots a laser of bb's on full auto with 11.1v, but still puts down a smooth stream with a 7.4v.
Smooth and relatively quiet operation for an AEG.

I only got this because my older son wanted one and now I kinda wish I had discovered this sooner.
I want to try the CYMA m4 but I already have too many of those, maybe.
The only cons would be the weight and regular trigger pull versus the composites and digital triggers but this thing is cool.

"Great AEG for beginners! This was the first airsoft gun I bought and It is still my favorite. I took it easy on the gun at first but quickly realized how durable it is.
Love the ability to have multiple rails with optics so i can quick-change between optics without having to worry about losing zero.
Taking the gun apart is very easy so if it gets dirty or need to replace something and parts aren't that hard to source.

My only complaint is that battery compartment in the stock, The fuse takes up so much room that you can only fit nunchuck batteries.

Cons: battery compartment is annoying.
Pros: everything else.
