"actually its real use is when you are roaming around in the woods and someone tries to sneak up behind you and you (put nicely) disarm him gently resting him on the ground (punching him in the face and tackling him to the ground) then you tape his hands and put a grenade in his mouth...the end

"Yep, its packing tape. Not much to say here is you need it for packing stuff up to send somewhere.
