"I’ve been a long-time fan of Gate products and have used their MOSFETs for years with great results. I purchased this electronic bolt catch specifically for an HPA build and installed it in my Double Eagle Aeroknox AX15.
Installation is fairly straightforward, though some minor modification may be required. If your gearbox shell does not already have a hole for the magazine detection sensor, you will need to drill one. I also recommend using a small amount of super glue to secure the bolt sensor. The included adhesive tape works, but the clear backing is difficult to remove and can be frustrating to apply properly.
Once installed, the bolt catch performs exactly as intended. It has been very reliable, and I have not experienced any issues during use. It’s important to note that this system is only compatible with the Gate TITAN II.
Overall, this is an excellent addition for anyone running a TITAN II equipped build and looking to add realistic bolt lock and mag detection functionality with Gate’s proven reliability.
