Other cheap rail pieces extend way too far out, making your build bulky and cumbersome, especially when you mount something on it. Those big rails can offset the center of gravity which can make your rifle feel heavier and impact the shooter's accuracy. Cheap M-LOK Rails usually also come with very long screws which can touch your barrel or gas block and interfere with accuracy even more! Generic rail slots may also prevent your handguard from being removed without fully removing all rail accessories, which can be a pain!
