"This gun is absolutly amazing. i shot 5 shots from 120 ft, and got them all within a quarter. Good on gas, easy to use, easy to look at. Love it.

"The gun is very weighty just like the real feel of a good airsoft gun and it provides a good amount of fps for the gun. The only problem is that my gun's magazine fails to feed a lot when I'm shooting. If there is any way to fix this it will be a great help but everything else about this gun is great.

"So far I am very pleased with my purchase. Only thing I don't understand is why it is a 1911/hi capa.

I want to put in some upgrades but I'm not sure what barrel length to get or what parts need to be 1911 or hicapa. Not a huge deal since most parts seem to be interchangeable?

Performance wise this gun out performs most of the side arms I ever got at a way lower price point.

Very flat and straight shots. great grouping out the box at 80ft.

Full to empty green gas mags
1.3 - .9 joules at 97 degrees F with .3 bbs

"Great pistol as it has certainly held up against ware. The only problem I have with the pistol is the slide barely wiggles. There isn't a problem with this it simply doesn't feel as solid. The hardened receiver is very convenient as I can use both green gas and co2.

"KJW Full Metal Custom 1911 Tactical HI-CAPA Gas.
Got This Gun two days after ordering it. I was impressed by how everything looked, but after firing around two mags through it, I got frustrated with the fact that it won't even fire a whole mag before running out of gas. i'm using the original mag, which holds 30+1 rounds, and the gas ran out after 23 rounds. I'm not trashing this gun or its looks, but its internals need an overhaul to be worth the money.

"Pros: full metal
Awesome recoil
great slide
Great feel and weight
Accurate
gas mags work great
cons: mag ejection button is easy to use and cant keep a mag in the gun when its in a softshell holster and co2 mags are just garbage

Overall great gun solid 4.5/5

"I bought this gun about 2 months ago and its an awesome pistol its smooth, feels good, has an awesome kick, really accurate, full metal and I've just had a blast using it. I've had tons of kills with it and it has yet to let me down. It even dropped out of my leg holster one game and had my friend toss it to me cocked it back and fired away.

Pros:reliable

"Overall the KJW 1911 is solid. The gun has a great build and a nice weight; I've yet to find a part that isn't full metal. The blowback on this gun is ridiculous (a good ridiculous mind you) and the intimidation factor is huge. I've been complimented many times on its weight, kick, and sound.

Pros:
-Full metal
-Heavy (pro for me though it might not be for others, especially kids)
-Very accurate for the amount of kick it has
-Good fps, I haven't chrono'd but it shoots hard and far with .25's
-Nice gas efficiency. I can usually squeeze two and a half mags out of a co2 cartridge. I haven't had experience with the gas mags yet.
-Rail space, always a plus
-Comfortable grip
-Functioning grip safety. If the safety is held, the gun has a hair trigger. If it isn't, you need to squeeze hard on the trigger.
-Good trigger response

Cons:
-Magazines fall out in soft shell holsters. I have to keep magazines unloaded or else they'll fall out. The magazine release is on the same level as the highest part of the grip. Even a slight bit of force causes the magazine to release. This is probably the gun's biggest flaw. I'd highly recommend using a form-fitting hard shell holster to avoid accidental magazine release.
-Front sight falls off easily. When I got this gun my friend had already lost the front iron sight. Apparently this is a common problem so I would recommend gluing it down.
-Trigger safety extends a bit far back. You can't smoothly cock the hammer without moving your hands around. This doesn't affect the gun's performance as the hammer will cycle automatically, however, it slightly decreases the realism. On a side note, remember to pull back the slide before firing to chamber a round. The amount of time's I've been "killed" because of my negligence is to great to count :P
-Slide cocking is a bit awkward without bb's in a mag. I've had the slide get stuck halfway back when trying to cock an empty magazine. No big deal though.
-Slightly finicky safety. Although it's ambidextrous, it seems that only the left side is compliant. The right side appears to be broken or at the very least loose. This is most likely not a defect found in all guns, it's likely that the previous owner was responsible for mine.
-Co2 magazines are terrible. The valve breaks after a short period of time and the co2 all shoots out the top. I'd stick with the gas magazines.

Neutrals:
-Noise factor. This is not your ideal stealth pistol. It's loud and intimidating and probably wouldn't be the best sidearm of a sniper. If you're going to go full Rambo, this is a great choice!

Overall this gun is a good sidearm for the average assault loadout. The pros outweigh the cons (although not by as much as I'd wish). At the price of $120 I simply can't recommend this gun over many other more "wallet friendly" guns. There's a lot of pistols that are just as good and at least $40 cheaper. Don't get me wrong, this gun is a beast and I've thoroughly enjoyed using it, but it seems a tad bit overpriced at $120. However if you get the chance to pick this gun up for a cheaper price by all means go for it! You won't regret it!

"I bought this gun about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE this gun and I cant say enough but just like every airsoft gun it has its downfalls and its uppoints:
pros:
1. great FPS (335 on average)
2. Capable of shooting green gas and co2 magazines
3. super sturdy
4. tac. rail
5. Loud (could be a con)
6.Many replacement parts (TM parts capable)
7. Upgraded internals come stock

Cons:
1. sluggish with green gas mag
2. front sight came loose (simply screw back in)
3. Cant change grips
4. horrible on gas consumption ( about a mag to a mag and a half per fill)

Over all this is an AMAZING gun. love it

"My first GBB pistol, I picked this because I could use the co2 magazines in winter and propane for warmer temps. I do not recommend using co2 that much because I heard its bad on the internals.

Pros
I was shooting 100+ feet with this testing, on par with my AEP jg vz-61 ( I recommend both for CQB!!!!!)
insane FPS for a GBB, out of the box I was 345-355 constant.
can be used in both winter with co2 and summer with propane!
use propane it is much cheaper than green gas
magazine last about a mag and half.
upgrade parts easy to find! unlike EF 1911

Cons,
evike forgot to send my upgraded co2 magazine
bb's dont always line up loading and you dont get a full load. I get between 23-27 bb's per-magazine
it jams on bad quality bb's (typical of guns)
you don't have this yet :)
doesnt have lanyard :(
its a hi-capa you can't put custom 1911 grips on :(

I now have 5 magazine (3 factory KJW recommend these) and two silver WE hi-capa magazines they are nice but OEM is best. Both these magazines last a magazine and a half. I kept them loaded all day and they worked. Use speed loader to reload quickly another 10-15 bb's until gas runs out

Lube the gun when you get it, I am using 30wt silicone oil on the outter barrel and on the slide rails. I use 10wt oil for the o-ring seals. It's important to keep it lubed.

If it wasn't for the co2 option I would not have bought the gun, I wanted the 93r but realized I couldn't use it in the winter..
Almost bought the green OD grips but just wanted a all black 1911.
Didn't buy the TM hi-capa either because it wasn't co2.
Didn't buy the EF 1911 like everyone else I know because no upgrade parts!!!

"Just an all around amazing gun, I have had this for about 2 months now and still works great

Pros:
Magazine capacity is great (for a standard one)
Blowback has a nice kick
Great range like incredible

that's about it

Cons:
Magazine can slip out if not holstered right
gas can leak due to very simple issues but easy fix
can be a pain to reload especially on the field trying to use a speed loader

other then that I really do recommend this gun

"Although I got the green gas version at another store, i feel that i can compare the two closely enough to give an accurate review.

The gun has a very good feel to it, although it is heavy, it isn't too heavy. It feels very durable and has great range and accuracy (mine was accurate out of the box).

Pros:

Great blowback
Sounds like a cannon (could be a con)
Good FPS
Very accurate
Great range
Great ammo capacity
Easy to field strip

Cons:

The grip isn't like a normal set of grip panels, it is the entire lower part of the gun, to replace the grip panels, you'd have to replace the whole lower receiver.
The gun is front heavy.
The mag mine came with leaked (not a problem for CO2, just green gas).
If used in a drop leg holster, the mag release has a tendency to eject the mags while running.

Over all, you can't beat it for the price, i'd give it 5 stars if not for the lack of easy changing on the grip panels.

"Love this gun! Works and fires like a dream. Only problem mag release is a little sensitive :(

"After using this pistol for a while ....
Here are some pros and cons that I have

Pros:
1/ shoots hard
2/ Nice feeling
3/ Accurate
4/ Makes loud noise to scare other people

Cons:
1/ Mags fall out if you don't run it with the right holsters

I will give it 5/5
